for sans, talking or mercy would be just a mere action with no proves of you changing, only curiosity to see what would happen if you do a certain action. The only real way he can actually take your words for real is if you dont talk to him and instead act, which means letting him kill you and then reset.

Of course, in fact, he should be in his throne room, but oh well. Sprites, music, attacks are all perfectly executed. This is the same fan game in which you can't win without debag.
