It's all 1 scale and key, which makes it easy and hard. It's easy because actually knowing and playing all the notes is easy. It's hard because making a song out of a single scale requires you to vary the rythms in order to generate different sections and different riffs out of essentially the same thing. You get sick of the scale quickly and so the difficulty comes from pushing through the repulsive stagnation that happens when riffing in one mode.

From 1:23 to 1:50 shows what kind of monster bellamy is... I dont know if he uses any "trick" or fx for a perfect timming, but every performance seems to nail it. In this cover I hear some minor "offs" but I dont know anyone that could pull it out perfect, anyway. Amazing performance and perfect tone Harry! I have seen some vids and you earned a new suscriber!
Don't forget the mad man is also doing high falsettos. And he nails it in every single damn performance.
So I just covered this on my channel and it took a week to get close (a week just on the chorus). It's by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to sing. You can still hear that my consonants aren't perfectly synced but I got damn close.
Every day of attempts had it's own issues. The first two days just sounded like ass. Finally got the timing and inflection right (each voice is basically a different character) but I was so focused on that stuff that the harmonies suffered. Even one pitchy voice ruins it. Finally I made one that was slightly less interesting but the harmonies were on point. Nearly cried when I finally wrapped it up.
All that to say, Bellamy is otherworldly and it was fucking silly for an unpracticed baritone to attempt a complex tenor harmony like this. Ffs the highest voice is a near constant E5. That's very high and sustained, which according to Matt just comes natural 😂
This cover goes so hard. Still listen to it over the original for how awesome the synth part sounds on guitar 🔥🔥

The hardest part is the term picking. Just learnt this song it took half a hour but it is a cool song nice chords classical Enino Morricone style cow boy music with iron maiden style riffs
