What I like about Bastion’s redesign is the fact they’re showing progress of the lore ever because he’s now "adopted" by Torb, and since we know Torb is an engineer, he upgraded him and gave him a shiny and more round armor instead of his old dusty armor that felt like an old printer. And yeah, the hat is literally Torb’s clan cap. You can even see the exact same cap in his two Uprising skins
This is also the reason I like Genji’s new design. Since Genji has come to terms and is at peace with his cybernetic body, it feels like it makes sense that he would wear clothes
@@idiot_of_the_planet7550 Yeah. In OW1, the cyber armor felt alien to him, it felt to him like there was something extra on his body, so he didn’t feel the need for clothes. In OW2, he feels like the armor IS part of his body, so he feels naked without clothes.
I agree with you in theory but his new design really looks made out of lego and I think he lost a lot of the original charm of old bastion being a "wild robot". Like the old bastion design's was telling a story on its own while the new one tells a story when compared to his older design, but on its own it is not really interesting.
@@idiot_of_the_planet7550 I understand that but he looks less dynamic and on his feet which I don't really like. Also his changes in mentality had already happened in overwatch one. I like his new colour palet though.

Lucio has gone from a dj to a freedom fighter, moira experiment on herself more, ana has been able to clean herself up after years of hiding and genji is accepting more of his human side and actually wearing cloths
I feel these changes occurred before OW1 though. Like genji already made peace with his body, Ana was out of hiding, Lucio already fought Vishkar, ... and I find Moira's skin very gimmicky, like sure it looks interesting but it doesn't really work for me as her new base skin, it is a bit too much
@@Tavemanic Well I don't know, to me it looks more like a optional skin than her new base skin. Like the fact that there isn't a strong colour and that it is just very weird with the arm, it feels very special, a bit unnatural, not really like "this is what represents the idea of moira". And showing of her naked arm doesn't feel very Moira to me, moira would be more shady, that's why I think her very long non revealing cloth suits her personality better. I definitely think there were things to do with her base skin but changing her colour scheme completely and revealing a big purple arm that doesn't really work with the rest of the design's rythme makes it feel too different for a base skin.
Another downgrade for Zarya: her tattoo used to be her world record lift of 512. Now in OW2 it's a full tattoo sleeve and you can't read the numbers anymore

very good! love you❤️
I generally think OW1 Lucio has a more coherent and less messy design, so I like it a lot more
Bro the OW1 junkrat was showing balding head but they fixed it in OW2 and rn hes looking cool

Is Mai not on console?
"no one's hands go to their knees" Ummmmmmmmmmm mine might maybe?
While there are a few upgrades (like Symmetra is 10x better), I personally prefer the original. The newer ones just have too much going on. There will be random armor pieces scattered around that just clutter the design. I think the simpler designs work better.
I mean some new designs are "cleaner" like Mei's. Though I agree that some designs added things for the sake of being new designs rather than just updating the design to look cleaner. A lot of time I feel like they were on the right track but went a bit too far.
I think the sensation you have comes from a lot of new design having less contrast like Ash's, Moira's, ... so the details look sort of messy.
Day 1: When Moira for Noobs
honestly I think moira has probably one of the best designs in the game. I prefer the original design over the new one.
