The fact that Sutan can remember what Moe taught her proves that we don't need to wait till our kids grown old enough to teach them, we never know when it will be "enough". Just tell them what they can or can't do, what is the right thing and what is the wrong thing, kids can learn too.

Maybe they don’t get everything on the first try, but as we’ve just seen, some of it sticks, if you explain it in an age-appropriate manner. And the more you hear it, the more you will understand. One building block at a time.
I saw on Instagram that Moe felt she was very angry with Sutan and wasn’t sure if she wanted to show that in her video. I think she handled the incident wonderfully proven by the fact that Sutan remembers that lesson.
@@WW-gx5kk yup, I could feel her at this moment and I could totally understand her reaction. She definitely could hide it after edited but I'm glad that she made it a part of the video. Teaching children the right things is indispensable no matter how old they are. Some people may think that kids can't understand adult's knowledges but once I watched a study of child psychology, it said that even an under 1 yr old can feel his mom by reading her behaviors. It showed an example that a baby boy changed his expression from happy to angry then afraid because he could feel his mom was ignoring him. And after watching this, I believe that children can totally understand what adult are doing to them and teaching them in the right ways is never too soon.

This episode is so touching. Sutan has not just learned her lesson, she is growing up too. When she said she loves you, that was most sincere, that's love from a little angel. My eyes were watery too. Thank you Moe for your cooking episodes and your adorable Sutan!

Sometimes I think it's rare. It shows how beautifuly you can raise a child with patience, love, lots of laughter, safety, but also seriousness when needed.

I laughed so hard when Sutan stopped Moe from taking her salmon, LOL.
Sutan, is a wonderful, smart, little girl. She remembers what mom taught her on the last video, and on this video, she reminds mom what she has learned.
Sutan remembers so many things. How to crack eggs, how to salt, bugs are her friends, seven gods in rice grain.... so many things.
In fact every Child can be like sutan, it just needs the direction. Children are very very clever and fast learners. Moe, as every parent should, gives only the directions and shields from harm while educating the important things :)

My wife and I just harvested some "chicken of the woods" mushrooms and were wondering how a rice dish with that and oyster mushrooms would do together. I think we'll make this with those two mushrooms!

すーちゃんがお米こぼしちゃった時、
すーちゃんあんまりよくわかってなくて、どうしてそんなにもえさんが怒ってるのか不思議そうなお顔してて、
もえさんはどう伝えたらいいか凄く考えながら言葉を紡いでいたのがとても印象的でした。
そしてちゃんとすーちゃんに伝わってて、しかもそれを言葉にできるなんて…。もえさんがどれ程嬉しくホッとされたか伝わってきました😊💓
それにしてもすーちゃんは本当にお話が上手になりましたね♪
Hearing your child tell you “I love you” is the BEST feeling ever! When my daughter started talking and said it for the first time it melted my heart ❤️
In the US wild mushrooms are when sold commonly in regular grocery stores (at least in Central KY) and if it is it’s very expensive. You easily buy white button mushrooms and shiitake. You can get maitake, shimeji, eringi, and enoki at the Asian markets and much cheaper. I haven’t found fresh nameko at all near me so I use jar or can nameko.
I was going try the mushroom growing kits you can find online because my family loves all kinds of mushrooms.
When I was a child I loved when my mom made satsumaimo takikomi gohan.
There’s also a church locally that has chestnut trees so my mom would take us as kids to pick them. It was so much fun to see who could get the most and the biggest! It was a fall tradition for our family 🥰
You are a great mom and Sutan is learning and growing so much! Children learn so much from just watching and listening parents 😌

I don't have any idea of the gods, but it's just so sweet how Sutan says it and Moes reaction is priceless.

when Sutan remembered "There's a God in Rice" She never fails to surprise us!
She also remembered little bugs are her "friends" even though Sutan was clearly scared of bugs. Sutan has excellent memory. For those who want to review that scene, it is from the "Sardines Kabayaki | Rice of bowl recipe" video. At time stamp 9:42 of the previous video, she said that beetles are her friends -- something her parents told her that she should not be scared of bugs.
This is how I used to learn how to cook as a child. Around 4 yrs old I start to stand beside my grandma as she cook and pretend like we're in a cooking show. I didn't actually cook anything till I'm a bit more older. But the memories and experience shapes me as a person and I love cooking as an adult. I bet Sutan will too. She's already a keen student.
This vlog is making my heart fluttered. So precious to see Sutan doing everything and following along Moe. She repeats everything and well verse.
OMG! I was so filled with pride when Sutan remembered there are Gods in rice; however, my heart truly melted when she said I Love You.
Oh my god! You are such a good mum! I wish all my students had a parent like you! Sometimes I wonder how some parents react when their children are brilliant and understand complicated concepts because they get so embarrassed or unwilling to share at such a young age at times. So lovely to see such a supportive relationship between the two of you!
Sutan afraid that she will offend her mom by saying "Don't do it." so she persuaded her by saying "This is mama mushroom." 🤣
Good insight. I think Sutan is generally afraid of offending her Mother. Moe scolds her too much and inconsistently, so Sutan is developing some anxiety and appeasing gestures around her Mom. It's a bit sad to see to be honest 😔😢
@@Violet.18 Not at all. She learn how to persuade and its good. Nowadays people even don't ask for apologize even they know they are wrong. Its good to see a kids behave like that way.

@@Violet.18 I don't see it the same way, it seems very healthy to me. Sutan still tests boundaries and has a lively curious spirit, but she also is learning how to act and behave with other people. She's learning good manners and interaction skills!
@@Violet.18 not really though it helps the kids learn how to think about their responses. Kids tends to be outright frank and offensive in some cases...so it's really awesome to see her know how to speak respectfully.

I made this using a rice cooker, replaced the salmon with unagi and you were right, just using seasonal ingredients and what is available works! It is so healthy and delicious too 😁 thanks for the recipe will use it often :)

I'm so impressed with how instead of giving into your anger, you are able to turn it around and make it a joke that Sutan can laugh at. You begin to shush her around 11:00, but then instantly turn it into a game and get her to laugh.

That was so hilarious when she tried to sneak the salmon behind your back. So fast! And that separating the mushrooms was a perfect task for her. It's clear the warning about the rice stuck and I really think people who were shocked last time should learn from this, very young children respond well to discipline and it will make later reprimands much easier. Because you didn't let them get away with everything earlier. And she wasn't unhappy about it either. Lots of positive reinforcement and reminders that things make mommy unhappy sometimes too.
My mom started early with the discipline, which could just be a look and we were way better behaved than other kids for long time. It really makes a parents life easier. They just need to do it age appropriately. Kids don't hove a lot of selfcontrol but that doesn't mean they can't be reminded they should try to stick to the rules.

Nice singing, Sutan! But I’m scared she will fall over one of these days while she’s sitting on top of that stool, she loses her balance, and you’re back is turned. It happens very fast and you might not be quick enough to get her. Just saying be more careful…
Than she falls, gets hurt and learns not to it anymore. No big deal. We all learned it the hard way.

@@rw80 thats too high for her to fall from, she could easily break a bone or worse yet break her neck :(
@@mmmtastyalidzie2435 not that I recommend her falling, but the hight is not too high. The stool is under 150cm and she is able too climb it. True she will probably hurt herself but she would need to fall very badly to get really hurt. So please don't scare mothers like that. Parents always need to keep an eye on their children, but when they get fearful and take away all the possibilities to learn (even by hurting) they damage the children in a different way. Children that are not allowed to chance "risks" grow up with little to no selfconfidence!

Psychologists have done tests. If you involve children in the cooking process (washing, cutting, cooking, etc), they are more likely to eat the food well. 2x as effective when a child also grows the food! Sutan is so fortunate to have a patient mama who keeps her involved in the cooking process
