Swansea is a good university, it's not a Russell group university which is the "Ivy League" of unis in the UK but it isn't bad. As long as you gain practical experience from internships etc you will be fine.
I've just moved to London as a grad and it is very expensive to live here. I cannot imagine being here as a student. I have realised that most people who study in London are either from London or have very wealthy parents to cope with the high living costs. So I'd say only really study in London if you are to go to a top uni like imperial as otherwise, it isn't worth the high living costs. Also if you have to work part-time to be able to pay rent etc it may be too much along side your intense degree.
Hey sagar it would be great if you reply... So i will be moving to canada in august and will be studying computer and information systems... However i have wanted to study aerospace engineering since 10 th grade but things didn't work out so i wanted to ask you that after completing my bachelor's in canada can i move to london for my masters in aerospace engineering. And Will there be a problem in finding jobs after completion of my masters.
I'm not 100% sure how easy it will be for you to do a masters in aerospace engineering after having done a under grad in software. At the university I studied at to do a masters in Aerospace Engineering the requirement is as follows: '2:1 BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Automatic Control Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering' This isn't to say you can't work for an aerospace company as a software engineer
Hi i'm applying to do aerospace at icl, bristol, southampton, manchester and sheffield. However i would really like to go into the space industry. Is it worth applying to glasgow for the links to the space industry or would it still be possible to break into the industry from another uni?
I'd say all the universities you've applied for will have links to the space industry, I know Sheffield has close links to Skyrora for example. However, if one day you want to reach out to one of the engineers in Skyrora and meet them for coffee in Edinburgh it may be easier if you're based in Glasgow than if you were in London. Does that make more sense?
@@SA64R Ah excellent. Skyrora is a big aspiration of mine, I love their work and where they are located, its a beautiful part of the world. I'm seriously considering sheffield now because they are one of the few unis that offer a year in industry without having to do a full masters degree, which means I would be able to choose a different postgrad uni if I choose to do so. How difficult would you say it is to break into the space industry as an engineer?
@@noonesherem8782 Yeh links at Sheffield are great, I actually presented some of the projects at Sheffield to the CEO of Skyrora! I'd say it is pretty difficult since there are no large space companies in the UK so they have no time to train you on the job so you'll need exceptional skills obtained via internships or student projects. But it's not impossible.
@@SA64R quality. Thanks for the insights, I'll bear that all in mind! Hopefully the UK space industry booms over the next decade and opens up more jobs for people like myself haha.
Hii, i want to pursue a bachelor degree on aerospace engineer in university if glasgow but i am afraid of the cost of living for international students as i am from singapore?
I'd say try and figure out how much it will cost to live there, so make a spreadsheet and include prices like rent, transport (e.g bus fares if needed), also you find find cost of groceries online so you can try and quantify how much the cost of living is. In essence be like an engineer, find out the information you can and make an educated decision, on whether or not you can afford it.
I’d say the best thing to do would be to try and apply to universities to study that degree and if you get in excellent if not try and figure out why they rejected you.
Hello Sagar Bhaiya!! I want to pursue Aerospace Engineering but due to pounds(fees), I'm a bit confused about whether to choose USA or UK. Please help. USA - MIT, Georgia Tech UK - Imperial College of London, University of Leeds Some of my choices.
For the aerospace scene, I'd say the USA has a lot more career options after graduating, plus the salary for engineers over there are much higher than in the UK. I'm not sure about the fees in the USA for an international but I suspect they're a bit higher than in the UK. So I guess it comes down to do you have the money for the USA or not. If you do great, go to the USA.

Bath, currently, it is ranked as the 2nd best university for aerospace engineering in the UK. Source: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/aeronautical-and-aerospace-engineering
It's pretty good, one of my friends has studied that there and he has told me that it is pretty similar to Sheffield (where I studied) however, it was inferior when it came to student engineering projects.
The ones I mentioned here are also great for mechanical, however one that wasn't mentioned here University of Manchester is great for Mech Eng as well.
It is a well known and prestigious uni for sure, and has a well established engineering dept, but in terms of specifically for aerospace it isn't on the league table specifically for aerospace. But I'd say that's not too much of an issue as the rest of the uni and eng dept as a whole is suppose to be really good.

Swansea is a good university, it's not a Russell group university which is the "Ivy League" of unis in the UK but it isn't bad. As long as you gain practical experience from internships etc you will be fine.
😊😊😊😊
I have applied to bristol and imperial for aerospace. Do you recommend studying in london?
I've just moved to London as a grad and it is very expensive to live here. I cannot imagine being here as a student. I have realised that most people who study in London are either from London or have very wealthy parents to cope with the high living costs. So I'd say only really study in London if you are to go to a top uni like imperial as otherwise, it isn't worth the high living costs. Also if you have to work part-time to be able to pay rent etc it may be too much along side your intense degree.
Is it better to go for BEng with industrial placement or the one without it
Better to go for one with Year in industry
Is University of Canfield not worth mentioning in the list?
I'd say it's great for a place to do an MSc in aerospace but as an allrounder for aerospace, it wasn't on any of the rankings I saw.
And
Will there be a problem in finding jobs after completion of my masters.
I'm not 100% sure how easy it will be for you to do a masters in aerospace engineering after having done a under grad in software. At the university I studied at to do a masters in Aerospace Engineering the requirement is as follows: '2:1 BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Automatic Control Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering'
This isn't to say you can't work for an aerospace company as a software engineer
Hi Sagar, what do you think of MScs in aerospace engineering at Cranfield University?
yeh, it is great. It's well known for it's aerospace specialisation
@@SA64R thx❤️
@@SA64R thanks so much for the advice :)
Does all these Universities have specialization degree in propulsion?
I think so, but best to check their websites for most up to date info
Which university do you think will be the best for Masters in Propulsion?
Hi Sagar
I am a Nigerian and studied Electronic Engineering
What do I need to get a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering in one of the universities
I’d say the best thing to do would be to try and apply to universities to study that degree and if you get in excellent if not try and figure out why they rejected you.
@@SA64R thanks Sagar
Hello Sagar Bhaiya!! I want to pursue Aerospace Engineering but due to pounds(fees), I'm a bit confused about whether to choose USA or UK. Please help.
USA - MIT, Georgia Tech
UK - Imperial College of London, University of Leeds
Some of my choices.
@Ansh sharma
Heyy, I'm in your condition right now can you pls reply about which one do you selected???
@@toptech148 Heyy, I've been promoted to class 12 this year only, so I'll be investing this whole year in planning. Can't really tell which college will I chose or which college will choose me!!

Hi there. I have just graduated from Uni of Leeds with an integrated Masters in Aerospace Engineering and am now working as a graduate in the aerospace sector. If anyone has a question about the uni, course or Leeds itself then just drop a comment and I’ll get back to you :)
Thanks for offering your help to others Drew, where do you work now?
can u become a aircraft engineer and work at airlines after doing masters in aerospace engineering
@@SA64R no worries, currently a GCN grad at mbda in Bristol
@@janna5086 this is a viable and popular option I believe, becoming an aircraft technician isn’t so common but a lot of grads go into areas such as aerodynamic and structural analysis and well as generic systems eng areas.
Hii, i want to pursue a bachelor degree on aerospace engineer in university if glasgow but i am afraid of the cost of living for international students as i am from singapore?
What about University of Hertfordshire??
Not heard great things about aerospace there
I have applied to Sheffield just wondering are they linient when it comes to entry to aerospace engineering
I think there is a margin, however, I have no clue how lenient exactly they are. Though I know people have gotten in with lower than recommended requirements.
@@SA64R Could you say what the lowest you've seen someone go through is
Hey out of these which do you think is the best option for undergraduate aerospace engineering students: Uni of Manchester, Un of Bristol, Uni of Nottingham or Uni of Bath since I've got accepted to all of them.
Bath, currently, it is ranked as the 2nd best university for aerospace engineering in the UK. Source: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/aeronautical-and-aerospace-engineering
Is Cardiff or Swansea any good
Swansea is in the top 15 for aerospace in the UK however Cardiff isn't even on the table so I would say Swansea is the best of the two
How about Cranfield ?
Yeh good uni but only offers MSc I believe
how is university of manchester for aerospace engineering
It's pretty good, one of my friends has studied that there and he has told me that it is pretty similar to Sheffield (where I studied) however, it was inferior when it came to student engineering projects.
Why not just do mathematics degree
How is Queen Mary Sagar?
I don't know too much about it to comment I'm afraid
This list reflects only your opinion. I would not call most of them as best aerospace engineering unis in the UK.
It isn't just my opinion, these are regularly listed in the top 10 for aerospace engineering
Any you would recommend for mechanical?
The ones I mentioned here are also great for mechanical, however one that wasn't mentioned here University of Manchester is great for Mech Eng as well.
what about Durham?
It is a well known and prestigious uni for sure, and has a well established engineering dept, but in terms of specifically for aerospace it isn't on the league table specifically for aerospace. But I'd say that's not too much of an issue as the rest of the uni and eng dept as a whole is suppose to be really good.
Thanks for this mate
What about University of Surrey?
Don't know enough of them to reasonably comment about that uni
