    Kobe’s work ethic is what put him beyond others. He wasn’t as hyped as Bron or Jordan, and he wasn’t as gifted, but he worked and worked and is now in that conversation. RIP MAMBA

    • @nocturne311
      @nocturne311 Год назад +7

      He really isn't in that conversation. Only those who grew up in the 1990s/2000s, are Lakers fans, or are Kobe fans think that.

      @@nocturne311 What I’m saying is in general a lot of people put him up there. Personally he’s in the lower top 10 range for me but it has became consensus for most that he’s a top 3 player.

      I would say he was more hyped than Mike considering he was a HS kid and everyone was talking about him being the next Mike(who was already undisputed GOAT)-that's massive hype...and West calling him the best workout he'd ever seen and teams fighting to draft him(people forget the threats to play in Europe if Kobe didn't play for LA or Boston. I still see some youngins clowning Charlotte for blowing it, but they basically drafted him for LA bc Kobe wouldn't play anywhere else).
      Mike came into a big mans league and was never expected to be impactful enough to win anything significant even after his 84 Olympics come out party against NBA stars in 8 exhibition games. Only his USA coach and HOF'er Bobby Knight knew what was coming-calling him the greatest basketball player he had ever seen before ever playing a single NBA game.

      I would disagree with the whole he isn’t as gifted , his leaping ability and ball handle was just as good as Jordan and he had better ball handle than lebron. His work ethic & abilities set him apart .

      Hes definitely not in that convo. And only why those who do put him in that convo is because he passed away. Also how is he a goat when he was a sidekick for the first 8 years of his career. He has more titles being the sidekick than he does being the #1 option🤣🤣

      Quite literally not even remotely close to MJ…. Come back and tell us all when he wins EIGHT more scoring titles. And 4 more MVP’s. Come back and tell us all when he wins the defensive player of the year award AND the MVP AND the scoring title all in the same damn season. Come back and tell us when he leads the league in scoring AND steals in the same season THREE separate times kid. Lmao, Kobe Bryant is the ALL-time leader in MISSED SHOTS. There is no weaseling your way around that fact. That embarrassing stat.. MJ averaged over 30 a game his entire CAREER. Kobe put up 30 pts a game just THREE times TOTAL in his whole career. 3 out of 20 seasons. He literally had 6 seasons under 20 pts a game. MJ NEVER once scored under 20 a game his entire career. Never. Even at age 40. At 39-40 he still put up 20 a game shooting 44.5% from the field. At 37 in Kobe’s last season, he had like 17.5 pts a game off JUST 36% shooting. 35.8%... That is blatantly awful lmfao. The BEST he EVER shot in his career was 46.9%…. 47%.. MJ shot 54% in ‘91.. And shot 51.5% or better 6 separate times. He shot 50% for his career. Kobe shot just under 45% for his career average. And he shot every time down the floor. Like I said, he is the ALL-time leader in missed shots bud. No tf he is NOT “the most skilled ever”.. Not even close to it. MJ was better than him at EVERY single aspect of the game. Every aspect. They both shot the same career 3-pt percentage too. 33%.. So don’t even attempt the “well Kobe was a better outside shooter”.. No tf he WASN’T. That is 100% provable. He never once shot even close to 50% in his career. Jordan shot 50% FOR his career. They’re not comparable. Not even slightly.

    Love to see clips from Kobe during his early beginnings. It's insane how much he had improved and developed into the legend we all know since then. Still you already saw the energy and the hunger for more success plus his athleticism led into some nasty dunks and plays. I wish he could've started his first two years instead of coming from the bench though

    Real ones know! Kobe should've been playing heavy minutes as a rookie, and starting this year for LA. Del Harris hurt the team and Kobes all time numbers. That's why he always cooked Harris future teams. Kobe probably would've won rookie of the year, and Harris' inconsistent coaching also cost Kobe a sixth man award because he started too many games that year. Wouldve had a realistic shot at roty, smoty, and then into an MVP don't think that's ever been done.

    SEVEN points a game is absolutely NOT “taking the NBA by storm” lmfao. Just stop. It literally took him 4 YEARS just to put up above 20 pts a game. MJ finished 2nd in scoring with 28.2 a game his rookie year. Kobe averaged 7. Fucking 7. No, he didn’t take ANYthing “by storm” at all. That’s hilarious. Stop gaslighting. It didn’t HAPPEN. It’s completely UNTRUE. Once again: 7 pts a game.
