I've been trying to make this for the last 4 years. I finally managed to build one with a very simple transformation and just a little bit of partsforming, and no extra parts needed. I know this is my build, myt I'm very very happy with this one.
So glad you finally figured it out! The end result was totally worth it

I was wondering the whole video how many attempts there were before it worked. Truly exceptional! (...although I have no idea what an Optimus Prime is, having grown up with the Robotech generation.)

I remember hachiroku24 doing robot mode and vehicle mode seprately 4 years ago, and now he made this so it can transform from vehicle to robot. 10/10
I love Bayformers! When I was 5 years old, the 2007 Transformers movie was the one that introduced me to the Autobots, Decepticons and Cybertron. The movie franchise was my childhood. And I don't care what anyone says about it. I like all 5 of the movies. I think they're awesome and fun.
The first 3 were good the last 2 sucked

Lego definitely got inspired by this concept, I think this looks better than the official set which is pretty nuts to say the least…
i think the lego set is better, bcs it doesn't need to remove parts to transform, but this MOC still amazing.
nt tryna be toxic i highly disagree the face looks nothing like optimus but if they were to tone down optimus and make it a smallersize i think it could be good
i highly doubt lego designers saw this video. their design probably got made before this video released

Unfourtanetly, LEGO makes legos and hasbro makes transformers, and hasbro is one of legos biggest rivals. LEGO transformers sets are just as likely and coke and Pepsi making a coke and Pepsi hybrid together
this looks soooooo much better than the original Optimus you did. Regardless of parts forming, this js awesome! No more bulky and stumpy prime
However I can see people taking this model and mess with it to get it to look good and maybe a bit better.

Very nice truck mode, ok robot mode. I can see that you have quite good attention to details, they are just limited by the transformer's engineering challenges. Looking forward to seeing what you can become in your next creation

I’ve never seen a functional Lego transformer that looks this good in both modes! Usually they have one good looking mode and one very meh but this looks spectacular both ways!
I like it , could do a non-transferable Barricade (from age of extinction) basing it off the 2015-16 Speed Champions Ford mustang, or possibly build rachet

I love the vehicle mode, but the robot mode is great. It bugs me how inaccurate it is, but my god he looks like optimus prime
There was a short time when I was obsessed with the idea of LEGO transformers. I don’t care about the actual franchise. I just liked seeing LEGO builds actually morphing into other things instead of the usual “take it apart and rebuild it.”

Honestly seeing how people can easily find ways that make them transform between robot and vehicle kinda makes me wonder why Kreo didn't go with this approach whereas instead their method was you basically had to break the whole thing down again just to build it back in the other mode you that wanted.

I can't say it does by a long shot since despite not being perfect it's still impressive they were able to capture the G1 design pretty well, but this one being fanmade definitely makes it pretty impressive
