Unless he wanted a feel or purposely get a foul and technical. Also if you follow his head movements, you can tell he slightly looks at Daniel when he starts positioning himself to block him, before focusing back to his target. Then when Daniel finally puts himself in position and locks in, protecting the air below what he actually needed to protect, Dort goes around him using Daniel's body as momentum. You see his open palm hand land and slide along Daniel (which, if he had landed a tad bit higher, would be Daniel's waist). Dort kept on running after his target without even realizing he hurt Daniel.
