Okay, at 0:50 you see the the chord progression. Now take a look at what should have been the same chord progression at 1:23 and you notice he messes up. He wasn't telling Anthony to shut up, in fact the only thing you can hear him say is fuck. Anthony and Chad probably stopped thinking they made him messed up but John kindly takes responsibility at the end and says that it wasn't them he just learned that song that day.

I listened to some of his live recordings and have to say when he covers other peoples songs, he really makes them his own. Too many people try to mimic others when doing covers. I'm a huge RHCP fan, I love even their early stuff, but John Frusciante man, like man, I'm an even bigger fan of his, everything he touches seems to turn into a wonderful piece of music. I highly recommend all his solo albums, if you haven't heard of them, To Record Only Water For 10 Days is a good place to get started, The Empyrean, or Shadows Collide With People, and if you like that stuff then check out everything else of his, he has quite a lot of solo albums.
