Hey everyone, thank you so much for being patient while I work on this. As I've said in the video, I've got three other videos (all new and recent release first impressions videos) I'm pushing to get out before the end of the year. Hope you're excited for what's to come before we close out the year and get our hands on Dynasty Warriors Origins!
I know, right? I think the lack of info is what's helping them and I criticized their promotion and reveals of previous games and giving too much. Happy to see they're trying to keep some surprises for us.
I want the game to have a “brainless” difficulty level, allowing you to feel like a god again. I was playing DW before for the chill of having ko in thousands and the heartfelt story. Dynasty Warriors 5 was the first game that felt very easy, and I loved it the most-until Dw8.
I do feel like the "brainless" side is going to happy on the easiest difficulty. They wouldn't give you a maxed out character and the best weapon for the demo. They're going to give you base stats and an early weapon. I think this game is going to offer up both the mindless, cathartic gameplay on easy, as well as the thoughtful, methodical gameplay on harder difficulties.
I really liked how the percussion is removed and the soundtrack takes a bit of a backseat while you're in the pause menu. It's a small touch, but it is great since it keeps you in the "combat mood" while being relaxed enough to allow you to be able to focus on whatever you need to do in the options.
I've always loved the double jump weapons on 8 (I think 7 had this as well? I can't remember) because it lets me "dodge" when no other weapon gives you this ability, so tbh, adding an actual dodge mechanic is two big thumbs up from me
To your point about the weapon depth in this installment, it was wild having the experience of trying out a weapon, feeling like something wasn't quite clicking, and then discovering the move-list buried in the options menu. Going from literal decades of the same combo strings for every weapon to having entirely different weapon archetypes with specific gimmicks and optimization strategies here in Origins is amazing. I started out not wanting to touch the Wheels at all because they felt so clunky to them being my favorite weapons by a mile once I got used to the enhanced recovery attacks. So excited for January.
And they're not really focusing on these details when they promote it. They're focusing more on the story aspect, which means we get to experience the solid gameplay almost in real time.
@@ChrisGildart Very true! Which is nice since it'll encourage exploration, rather than figuring out what your "main" weapon will be early on and tunneling into it.
It was honestly an incredible feeling. Going back to playing DW and to a less extent SW after playing a lot of the 3rd party IP spin off warriors games wasn't exactly the greatest experience... I'm really enjoying just how vastly different each weapon felt to play so far.
It’s weird cause someone watched the demos where the players probably don’t know how to use C combos and they only played the demo once and said there’s no C string which was like..?! I literally saw ShoP state the C string logic remains like the old games for familiarity so I guess people can’t read then trash the game for no reason?
I didn't even notice this until now, but at 11:50 mark all the npc that died don't disappear like the usual Warrior games are are just corpses on the battlefield. Kind of helps increase immersion. Man this game is heading in the right direction.
If we pay attention to the enemy officers in the game, there are 4 weapons currently they have that we do not being the Giant Mace, Curve Blade, throwing knives, and Fan. Most likely they are maybe DLC weapons since all enemy officers already use the 9 weapons we can use but they get a addition options being these weapons.
Really felt demoralized by some of the negative comments and decided not to let it bother me. I'm going to be hyped for the game and I won't discourage someone else from not being hyped. We're all different, which is why it's so cool that each entry in the franchise could be someone's favourite. Bet you someone out there just absolutely loves the Samurai Warriors Pachinko game. lol
If they have In Full Bloom, Sacred Night, Yellow Storm, Anger & Grudge... I'm just imagining all the old songs they're potentially gonna do like this. Not to mention all the new stuff. I already know what my 2025 Spotify Wrapped is gonna be.
For me it’s Vanish remix. Like, it’s got to do with Lu Bu but how much of that would involve the invisible 4th branch as of now? While I’m more about Karma Against Hard Invasion from the same battle in 8xl, won’t it be cool if the remix also referenced it 🤔
I was so hype hearing the arena remix they did for announcement ngl! They will have in full bloom! I’m also looking forward to flame and rapidity actually! Sure it’s not persistent fellows (that needs a remix bad), but it’s a killer
I first attempted this on hard. I had to specifically choose sun shang xiang as my partner so I could start on the Wu side and make sure Sun Jian didn't eat shit, because whenever he did, Yuan shao wasn't that far behind him. Also on hard, officers don't have the ability to drop meat buns like they do in easy or normal, so you have to be a lot more sparing, and a lot better in combat to avoid damage.
I kinda like Yuan Shao's new voice. It's like Koei took him seriously again since his Wulong's counterpart. You can still hear his arrogant through out the battlefield.
Yeah, I think physically, they could have done more to differentiate this iteration from the DW6-9 design to more match his newer personality. But I don't mind the voice the more I hear it.
This is what I was hoping for for this franchise. A return to form after dynasty warriors 9, but the sense of evolution for the genre. This is exactly what I wanted, and it helps that this game is gorgeous.
I'm glad you're hyped as well! I've been skeptical on Origins when it was first announced, but the more I saw of it, the greater my excitement grew. I'm definitely getting it, question is whether they'll add something cool as DLC that would make me want to get the deluxe edition or not. Until then, choo choo on the hype train!
The Deluxe Edition doesn't have a whole lot to it. They've also said they don't plan on any DLC post launch at this time as they want to see how it's received as is first.
I just found out bout the game played the demo when I say I’m beyond hype I didn’t know this game was dropping I’m definitely getting the early release cause my off days
I honestly wouldn't judge someone if Dynasty Warriors DS is their fravourite game. It's bland, and doesn't have much going for it. Which is why it's the worst imo.
@ChrisGildart what makes it the worst for me is that you can defeat the enemy player and they can respawn next to your own base. Basically you give them a teleport. Obviously no shame to anyone that likes it, everyone has some nostalgia towards games that aren't very good, but come on, what they were thinking.
I play it once a day by now. Used to think Lu Bu was on a similar level to some of the stuff you saw in Wo Long, but now he is so easy. I just do it on Wayfarer difficulty though. This game kind of makes mewish they could implement and adaptable difficulty that the user can set. Like, what if we could have the Hero levels of aggression, Wayfarer (or Hero) levels to ATK/DEF, and still have meat buns drop from officers? Just as an example.
Honestly, I'm excited and all for everything I've seen from this game so far! I admire that they are trying new things, and I love the direction their going.
I still would have preferred to be able to play as all the characters and to be able to customize even just the costume of the OC, but at the end of the day, I also just want to have a fun time.
I personally love the seriousness of this game instead of the comedic relief characters in the old ones. This is war and people will die. There isn’t time to be a fool or silly, but seeing those characters act the way they did like Zhang Jiao and Yuan Shao is a lil funny, but I’d take origins any day🥳
I'm hoping there's still some moments of levity and comedy. I feel like you could still have funny moments and play up the personalities without taking away from the serious moments.
HELL YEAHHHHHH And sorry about corrupted files, Chris! That's honestly my biggest worry when doing creative work. When it happens it straight up drains my soul :( Props to you for pushing past it
Amazing video as always Chris, i never been excited for a game like this for a long time i the demo made me feel like a 7 year old playing DW4 for the first time again!! Also looking forward to your review, i hope you take care and stay safe in the meantime 💜
Man that demo left me feeling empty inside. I haven't wanted to play any of my current games since I played it. It's wild too because I've never cared for the Dynasty line of games much at all, always preferring the Samurai games and even the One Piece and Nintendo tie-ins more. That being said I liked Fate Samurai Remnant quite a bit, especially the parry and perfect dodge systems even though they felt a bit out of place with the art style and pace of that game. Those mechanics paired with the grounded look of Origins and the characters feeling weightier is a match made heaven and it has me sitting here all grouchy because I don't have the full game.
The biggest thing I like about this composition is that the sound is so raw. Nothing feels synthetic. No drum machines or anything. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this sounds so good when it has that raw instrumentation sound.
I put 20 hours into the demo, its that good. No other demo have I done this. I played the RE4 Remake demo for 7 hours and that was great, but 20 hours in this demo shows how replayable and fun this game is going to be
The parry does personally feel a bit to slow for Warriors game (especially when comparing the Platinum Games parry which is peak in keeping a more fast paced momentum). Weapon Switching I hope makes it into the full game
Unfortunately no coop means not buy for me. I’ve played most of the dynasty warriors and orochi games. I skipped the last two because they just looked terrible.
I like that they brought back the officer one on one battle mid war like they did in the old school games. Instead of being in an arena, they made with the soldiers around watching the fight, like the movie troy. The whole game feels like an apology for DW9. Did you play wo long btw? If so what are your thoughts
I soooooooooooo hype for dynasty warriors origins and hopefully they make a dynasty warriors origins empire/campaign mode puls i cannot wait to hear all my dynasty warriors theme songs again like in all my other dynasty warriors games puls i ready to get my revenge on lubu especially when i play dynasty warriors 3 game oh boy lu bu going to have super aura plot armor in dynasty warriors origins 😂
You don't hear much of it during the demo, but what I heard I thought it was pretty good. Kirk Thornton will always be my favourite, but I do like what Daniel Walton did.
@@ChrisGildart oh cool. And thks for the segment on community negativity. We really should learn to be constructive and not be toxic and short-sighted about people liking a certain Musou game in spite of its issues. I like Dynasty Warriors 8 just because it fixed a lot of Dynasty Warriors 7's issues (even though Dynasty Warriors 7 was my second favorite since they brought back the old combo system and kingdom-based stories but they still have a few issues from Dynasty Warriors 6 which is not exactly fans wanted.) Either way, we should respect each other's opinions and learn not to hate just because someone like a certain Musou game.
That is a very disappointing thing. Especially not even being able to customize his costume much. I'm not going to let that get in the way of a great combat system though. But here's hoping the coloured costumes that come with the Treasure Box at least become free DLC in the future. Would like to wear the coliurs of the faction I'm siding with.
@brackkusamaz4015 absolutely agree. The community has been asking for Destiny Mode and this could have been Destiny Mode The Game. I don't think this is going to be the best game in the series, but it will be a good time. One of those entries that falls under "really good game, but held back by some poor decisions" category.
@@ChrisGildartthis is a proof of concept for them. They’re changing so much they have to make sure people like the gameplay, after that we’ll get the perfect one
I want to love this game but not having my created character is a huge deal breaker for me. I can not immerse myself into this game when I clearly do not look like i belong to a faction or my clothing doesn't match my weapon.
Im heartbroken you actually feel this good about dw origins....i cant stand that i can only play as "warrior A" with only 9 characters locked behind spacific stages and cooldowns...
That part does suck, and I have spoke about that in past videos or just in general, but the gameplay is exactly what I was hoping for. Just because there are some negative aspects of the game, it doesn't take away from the positives for some.
Someone who has the full game and was answering questions told me each faction has about 20-25 stages with about 80 stages in total in the game. And there is a difficulty level above Hero.
Unfortunately he's not. The only characters confirmed are the 3 each for Wei, Wu, and Shu: Xiahou Dun Guo Jia Zhang Liao Sun Shangxiang Huang Gai Zhou Yu Zhao Yun Guan Yu Zhang Fei Hoping I'm right that Lu Bu and Diaochan are as well. And maybe they're lying that the others aren't playable to get us to not expect that.
@ well hopefully they make some changes in the full release lol hopefully he gets his sword back too 🙌 also great video man. Also you wouldnt happen to know anything regards to Ling Tong?
@Farman_110 they can always patch him to be a companion in the Free Mode equivalent in the future. Plus, if he doesn't have his scimitar, hopefully we can swap weapons for companions in Free Mode (or it gets patched in the future). Also, what were you looking to know for Ling Tong?
Is it possible that DYNASTY WARRIORS ORIGINS can be a Separate TRILOGY to both introduce more favorite Generals & cover the whole 3 Kingdoms Lore with the fresh approach?.. Or would it conflict with the supposed age of the Nameless protagonist?? If so then perhaps just an ORIGINS Sequel(s) would suffice to be safe.. Also due to ORIGINS Not being a numeric Title Release in the franchise, I highly doubt that KOEI TECMO should aim to make a DYNASTY WARRIORS ORIGINS EMPIRES Title at all.. !! Let DW ORIGINS Be it's Own Take with a 1 or 2 sequel(s) at most.. Save the next DW EMPIRE Game for a future DYNASTY WARRIORS 10 instead.. We shouldn't aim to override DW ORIGINS with an EMPIRE version it is Not a Numeric Release.. besides that, The Game looks wonderful enough to be its own story with a good Sequel(s).. Afterwards I feel that KOEI TECMO can then later take some time to plan & alert the masses of a fresh newerer DW 10 followed by a future DW 10 EMPIRES.. plz comment your opinions as I am just suggesting, however I'm not trying to offend or clout chase in any form - thnx4reading if u did! 👍
Yeah, I didn't like it at all and really did not see what everyone else was seeing. To me the game felt like a confused mess that doesn't know what it wants to be. Some of voice acting is DW3 bad, and a focus on what is sure to be a gary-stu I have no interest in.
I personally felt the game was very well put together. All the mechanics seem to work well with each other. The AI is more aggressive, not just damage sponges or guard spamming. Parrying and dodging were added to deal with this. You don't have to parry if you can't get the timing right (like me), you can at leadt avoid the hit by dodging. I'd also say there's always been characters who were poorly casted, acted, written, or so on. It's not going to be perfect, but at the end of the day I care about having fun. It sucks you're not finding it with this game, but it happens.
Played the demo multiple times and tbh I'm quite disappointed by it. Not even talking about the one playable character (that's something that will be corrected in future entries), but just the combat itself; it just feels really bad to play. The combat system is so prescriptive, with every enemy having super armor on every single attack and not reacting to anything you do outside of a specified window, to force you to "wait your turn" to attack and make you use the million overpowered parries and counters and invincible dodges they added. And the movesets on everything but the sword just feel so... un-Warriors. Makes me sad to think that the games will play like this going forward.
Game doesn't let you play as legacy characters and no split screen co op. Thats a deal breaker for me, I wont buy this one, gonna just stick to dw3 and 4.
Counter attacks were in DW4 by attacking while guarding and rolling in 6 and 9, but not to this extent. It's easier to parry by just hitting guard. With DW4 you're character has to be in the guarding stance before you can counter.
The main thing I’m worried about is the roster. Let’s keep in mind that we technically had 80-90ish characters since 9 empires. Here they brought it down to 47 (I think) and only 11 of them are playable. HOW AND WHY!?!?! Now, I’m aware that this is more of a spinoff than anything (and even then I wouldn’t expect them to put EVERYONE in, a majority of the ladies never actually fought you know?) but it feels like such a waste to throw away so much when it came to the characters and movesets. And yes, I’m aware the story only goes up to Chibi which, actually cuts down the roster by a lot, but the VERY LEAST they could’ve done is give everyone unique weapons, they definitely have enough to go around. There is one positive takeaway from this: It’s very likely that we will have access to ALL weapons so long as we collect them, and it’s possible this includes weapons that none of playable ones have. the War Fan, the Glavie, Zhao Yun has the dragon spear (I think it was confirmed) so we’ll have the regular spear to ourselves. It’ll be nice to have some unique weapons and move sets to ourselves without it being a copy of another character’s, but man, the sacrifices that had to be made are enough to make a grown man cry. I personally was excited to see the DW9 characters get redemption, but it looks like we’re only getting Cheng Pu, Xun Yu, and Xun You. Anyways, sorry for the long rant, I’m just VERY passionate about this despite only playing DW8 and 9. I want this to succeed and be a great step forward for Musou games.
Losing all the characters, and the 'bar the depletes' just to temporarily use the few remaining officers, genuinely killed a lot of this game for me. Make no mistake, I'm excited to play it, I love the gameplay, and I'm absolutely still considering this a solid entry, but- I'm more excited for Cheat engine on PC to play as the characters I actually want. Plus- I still can't get over how much I despise the MC goon. I hate him so much. There's genuinely, zero good reason, in my mind to force you into playing this OC. And even if there was- I don't think what we needed was ANOTHER, pretty anime man. At the bare minimum, we should have been able to choose gender. I don't think that should've been a big ask. This game's being directed by the same guy who was in charge of DW6, and it shows- incredible polish and quality- really upsetting macro decisions in terms of overall design. The GBA game had more playable characters. Also, I will defend a good portion of the voice cast in DW9. Some of them were legitimately talented, and it's genuinely really sad to see them be put into a group of all being terrible. I thought Huang Gai, Cao Cao, Lu Bu, Hua Xiong, Zhang Liao, Yuan Shu, Xu Huang, and quite a few others, were legitimately great, even if I preferred the original for those who had them in most cases.
I'm interested because of everyone's praise for the new combat but I gotta be honest.... Really not into the nameless hero thing. Losing a lot in regards to the drama of the cast and Shu, Wei and Wu. I fear for the characterizations of the kingdoms, one as compassionate, one as merit based, and the last as family based. I like the art direction for this game more than Samurai Warriors 5, but I'm still not a fan. Its like the transition from Monster Hunter 4U or Generations Ultimate to Monster Hunter World. Everyone acts like its some great return to form, but its the same game, but with less interesting art direction, and the game's scope and mechanics scaled back. While I think DW Origins looks good, in general, I'm kind of tired of these HUGE Japanese singleplayer grinding games being scaled back while hyping up some transition to "realism", when it still isn't anything close to realistic lol. It still looks like anime at the end of the day. I think going foreward we'll look back at Samurai Warriors 4 DX , DW8 and Warriors Orochi 3 on Steam as the peak. Those are the Monster Hunter 4U and Generations Ultimate of musou. The end of an era.
I don't think it's wrong to have this mentality of dodging and parying or blocking in dynasty warriors like in Wu Kong or souls games But It's the health bar I have a problem with The only time I should struggle to kill the officer Is when I'm in a fight I'm not ready for For example being low level on hard or chaos mode I think this game may get irritating if U never get that over powering stage I like the game progression Of the first time I fight this battle I struggle with this boss .. 50 hours later super high level I kill him by accident That's the type of progress I like in my musou games Really hard at the beginning and just a breeze at high level This game I worry is not going to continue that trend I realise this battle is scripted U know who gets ambushed U know who's going to push where U know who dies when and where if U don't help..that never changes which sucks it really does But U gear and level has also been selected U not max level in this demo It's more like a level 20 playing on chaos U don't have the best weapons .mm it's a deliberate challenge If it feels like this at high level this I will be disappointed I want to see elements DMG and all the other abilities make a return like 8 and the orochi games I worry this has a limit to what I want to be able to do And I don't want a ceiling Even in the mosou game attack on titan it was really hard at the beginning but a breeze at the end because U were so op In all its awesome but yeah there's a balance to these boss encounters This fight with lbu is difficult now but what I'm saying is I want him to die in around 10 seconds when I'm fully maxed level If that's not the case I'm not grinding because there's no point
I didn't find them to be Soulsborne in difficulty though. Just added a bit more challenge without making them damage sponges or having to deal with them constantly guarding.
@ChrisGildart I just meant in mechanics, also with the way the weapons are I don't see us getting many characters in the future if they want to cut down on clones

Nice! I'll be streaming the game as well. Hope you get a chance to check it out and join in the chat. :)
Yeah man, I'm tired of the toxicity this game has brought and the one in the Monster Hunter community that started brewing with World.
When you said at the end of the video that there were no bad musou games, I was thinking "except DS". And then you said the obvious.
I honestly wouldn't judge someone if Dynasty Warriors DS is their fravourite game. It's bland, and doesn't have much going for it. Which is why it's the worst imo.

Here's hoping we get a future game with this combat, but expanded to all characters to be playable.
“Perfect Dodging and Parrying… should they be in a Musou-“
Yes… oh you said it just the same way at 8:45 lol
Has nobody play Fate Samurai remnant? I keep seeing comments like that even though that game has it and came out over a year ago
I play it once a day by now. Used to think Lu Bu was on a similar level to some of the stuff you saw in Wo Long, but now he is so easy. I just do it on Wayfarer difficulty though. More dynamic difficulty options are always cool. I had mentioned something like that when I described how I would make DW10.
That Lip Sync issue made me got inspired to add Wang Kuang, thanks :)
Honestly, I'm excited and all for everything I've seen from this game so far! I admire that they are trying new things, and I love the direction their going.
I still would have preferred to be able to play as all the characters and to be able to customize even just the costume of the OC, but at the end of the day, I also just want to have a fun time.
@@ChrisGildart Agreed! :D
Thank god my job closes in 3 weeks i can play this potential three kingdoms masterpiece 24/7
The perfect storm for a good time is brewing!
Good points on negativety section, it really was worth the waiting
HELL YEAHHHHHH
And sorry about corrupted files, Chris! That's honestly my biggest worry when doing creative work. When it happens it straight up drains my soul :( Props to you for pushing past it
I think it was worth it. Honestly some of the voice over was done better thanks to the second recording.
Amazing video as always Chris, i never been excited for a game like this for a long time i the demo made me feel like a 7 year old playing DW4 for the first time again!!
Also looking forward to your review, i hope you take care and stay safe in the meantime 💜
Thanks! I plan to make lots of content around this in the new year! 😁
This is gonna be the best DW for me, but it sucks there’s no co-op mode. Hopefully, they’ll release a co-op patch like they did for DW9.
Fingers crossed we get co-op. Even if it's online only, I'd take it.
You had me in the first half
I had to do it.
One single playable character to choose from
What a great idea for a Dynasty Warriors game
I love that you care so much about the music. Honestly without that epic rock chinese mix these games would not be the same. 😅
The biggest thing I like about this composition is that the sound is so raw. Nothing feels synthetic. No drum machines or anything. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this sounds so good when it has that raw instrumentation sound.
Ngl i love the new Combat Mechanics and it still feels like a Musou 1 vs 1000 Game.
Just saying but sun shang xiang wasn't even born during the Battle of Hulo Gate LOL
Only game I put 5hrs into a demo 💀💀
Real
Same haha 😅
I put 20 hours into the demo, its that good. No other demo have I done this. I played the RE4 Remake demo for 7 hours and that was great, but 20 hours in this demo shows how replayable and fun this game is going to be
The parry does personally feel a bit to slow for Warriors game (especially when comparing the Platinum Games parry which is peak in keeping a more fast paced momentum). Weapon Switching I hope makes it into the full game
Day one 😁
Great video bro
I enjoyed the demo alot. A huge improvement over DW 9.
Same. Had a Surprisingly good time playing Sishui over and over on stream.
Unfortunately no coop means not buy for me. I’ve played most of the dynasty warriors and orochi games. I skipped the last two because they just looked terrible.
Some friends and I are hoping for co-op to be patched in later, like with DW9.
HYYYYPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!
I like that they brought back the officer one on one battle mid war like they did in the old school games. Instead of being in an arena, they made with the soldiers around watching the fight, like the movie troy. The whole game feels like an apology for DW9. Did you play wo long btw? If so what are your thoughts
I have played Wo Long. Haven't finished it because I'm just bad at Souls-like games. I did do a first impressions on it when it came out.
@@ChrisGildart Kool, I'll check that out. Ngl, I'm trash at souls like game as well, but I do love the success/failure feeling of those games.
great video and especially your words at the end❤
That DWDS is bad? lol
@ChrisGildart ups^^ didn't think there was more after you commented about the negativity in some discussions :D but yea DW DS was pretty bad.
@MrDimrey lol yeah, there's no need to be as negative as some people are being. Critical, yes. But critical doesn't mean being rude or hateful.
Smaller community. Gotta stick together!!!! W that said WO3U is the best musou game 😊😊
I don't know if WO3U is the best. My top 10 is always changing. But it's consistently high for me.
I’m soooooo excited to see how Diao Chan’s weapon will play as! It’s suppose to be a rapier right?
I couldn't find any official confirmation that she's playable, so I'd wait until the game releases and we see for sure.
Dude, I'm so ready for 2025!
nice video.. but yea i will only be getting this game if diaochan is confirmed as a playable companion
I have a good feeling she will be. At least if she's not, the gameplay here will be some of the best we've had.
5:04 i'm a fan of Xiahou Dun's new voice
You don't hear much of it during the demo, but what I heard I thought it was pretty good. Kirk Thornton will always be my favourite, but I do like what Daniel Walton did.
I love the title bro
I had to lol
Damn the demo looked interesting and amazing. Can't wait for the final game and hope it looks good.
Can confirm, it's incredible. Just posted my first impressions not too long ago. 😁
@@ChrisGildart oh cool. And thks for the segment on community negativity. We really should learn to be constructive and not be toxic and short-sighted about people liking a certain Musou game in spite of its issues. I like Dynasty Warriors 8 just because it fixed a lot of Dynasty Warriors 7's issues (even though Dynasty Warriors 7 was my second favorite since they brought back the old combo system and kingdom-based stories but they still have a few issues from Dynasty Warriors 6 which is not exactly fans wanted.) Either way, we should respect each other's opinions and learn not to hate just because someone like a certain Musou game.
i love this demo but no zoom in on map is weird
You can zoom in. It's one of the d-pad directions. Maybe down. I did it accidentally at one point while recording.
Honestly, the reason im now feeling it is the lack of caw. This was a dream game until it was revealed we will be playing a cardboard cutout of a guy
@ChrisGildart i really feel that caw would have brought this game over. They can do it nioh 2 style.
That's how I feel it is. They're gonna take everyone's feedback and try to improve. I think they've noticed the decline in sales over the years.
Boo! No spoilers!
5:04 13:44 😂
18:47 someone tell me Gan Ning is a companion
Unfortunately he's not. The only characters confirmed are the 3 each for Wei, Wu, and Shu:
Xiahou Dun
Guo Jia
Zhang Liao
Sun Shangxiang
Huang Gai
Zhou Yu
Zhao Yun
Guan Yu
Zhang Fei
Hoping I'm right that Lu Bu and Diaochan are as well.
@ sweet. Just wanted to know if Ling Tong is in the game?
@Farman_110 he's in this game and voiced by Kaiji Tang. Not a companion though, but he's here.
Pikmin Warriors when?
I love Dw era like I wanna live there n die bc this era went goofy n Disneyland 😂
Lol I was the first to say it’s the producers CAC 😅 but ok
@@ChrisGildart I just want the sexy female charcters back
Played the demo multiple times and tbh I'm quite disappointed by it.
Also I hate that of all the things to keep from DW8's combat system, they chose the worst part (Storm Rush, now called Assault)
Game doesn't let you play as legacy characters and no split screen co op.
Thats a deal breaker for me, I wont buy this one, gonna just stick to dw3 and 4.
Hasn't parrying been in since 3, 4 or 5 and the dodge roll been in DW before in DW6 and 9?
Counter attacks were in DW4 by attacking while guarding and rolling in 6 and 9, but not to this extent. It's easier to parry by just hitting guard. With DW4 you're character has to be in the guarding stance before you can counter.
@ChrisGildart yeah it seems more intuitive this time round and actually useful, can't wait to parry the hell outta LuBu on Chaos difficulty 😂
@DecayingReaver I'm gonna die so quickly lol
There is one positive takeaway from this:
It’s very likely that we will have access to ALL weapons so long as we collect them, and it’s possible this includes weapons that none of playable ones have. the War Fan, the Glavie, Zhao Yun has the dragon spear (I think it was confirmed) so we’ll have the regular spear to ourselves.
First
Losing all the characters, and the 'bar the depletes' just to temporarily use the few remaining officers, genuinely killed a lot of this game for me.
I don't think it's wrong to have this mentality of dodging and parying or blocking in dynasty warriors like in Wu Kong or souls games
But
It's the health bar I have a problem with
The only time I should struggle to kill the officer
Is when I'm in a fight I'm not ready for
For example being low level on hard or chaos mode
I think this game may get irritating if U never get that over powering stage
I like the game progression
Of the first time I fight this battle I struggle with this boss .. 50 hours later super high level I kill him by accident
That's the type of progress I like in my musou games
Really hard at the beginning and just a breeze at high level
This game I worry is not going to continue that trend
I realise this battle is scripted
U know who gets ambushed U know who's going to push where
U know who dies when and where if U don't help..that never changes which sucks it really does
But U gear and level has also been selected U not max level in this demo
It's more like a level 20 playing on chaos U don't have the best weapons .mm it's a deliberate challenge
If it feels like this at high level this I will be disappointed
I want to see elements DMG and all the other abilities make a return like 8 and the orochi games
I worry this has a limit to what I want to be able to do
And I don't want a ceiling
Even in the mosou game attack on titan it was really hard at the beginning but a breeze at the end because U were so op
In all its awesome but yeah there's a balance to these boss encounters
This fight with lbu is difficult now but what I'm saying is I want him to die in around 10 seconds when I'm fully maxed level
If that's not the case I'm not grinding because there's no point
I really didn't like the combat, I don't play dynasty warriors to fight a bunch of different mini soulsborne bosses
Oh look, They ruined another DW games!
Will skip this one due to having to be a dull normal dude character
Definitely understand. But I had fun with the demo, so I'll be playing it when it comes out.
