got mine a few days ago with 250k km, it s an 1.3 cdti tho but the issues literally don t exist. i m 18 btw, got my license 2 months ago and this is my first car, i love her already.

This thing did better than my mum's mk3 Fiesta 1.1 going downhill on the A38 just north of Derby, UK. Maxed it out at 96mph and just avoided a cropper at the Coxbench junction

I don't know if you know, but here in Brazil, this car and many other Opel models are sold by another brand, not Opel, so much so that Opel never came here and is sold by the same model names by Chevrolet, which is involved with GM (general motors) and also as I've been researching opel was also involved with GM at the time of launching these vehicles here in Brazil, so this and some other opel cars like, astra, zafira, vectra, Opala are sold as "Chevrolet Astra" as an example.

Many years ago I tried to check top speed of Opel Ascona C GT 1.8i (115ps/151nm, 5-speed manual). Tires was 195/60HR14 (factory size), fuel 98 (In the manual 98 Super only). The road had slight slope. According the manual Vmax = 187 km/h. In fact I saw... 215-216 km/h! With 3 persons on board! Unfortunately in 1998 I had no GPS. But I think even with speedometer error it was true 200 km/h!
115cv / ~200km/h is standard
I had the same car but with 2.0 engine and 130 CV and reached 200 km/h on highway, uphill and with 4 persons....those old engines were really amazing!!!

Car that is perfectly suitable for young new drivers. With powerful cars they have tendency to kill themselves. That happens a lot. Also very welcome video to see what "lesser" cars can do. I just watched 1400hp Skyline video and now this 😂

My mechanic has a junkyard fugitive C Corsa 1.0 as a curtesy car.
Sticking cable operated clutch. Crank windows. No central lock. No power steering. No ABS.
Only half of a V6 and but a full turning circle of a freighter.
And, nothing less than sheer thrills. I can't stop giggling whenever I get to drive this little bastard. 🤣

My max was 2005 1.0 Corsa C 180kmh with empty car, and 170 kmh with two extra passenger and lagguages.
245,000kms on the clock, I was waiting for the engine to blow.
No, plenty of Corsas with 300+kkm,those engines 1.0,1.2 and 1.4 are almost bulett proof. I've drived one with 1.2 engine with 370kkm,still going strong.

felice possessore di una opel corsa c del 2004 sempre 998 cc, di fabbrica e un polmone non va però facendo alcune modifiche può superare i 180km/h sul gps non cruscotto in quanto la mia indica 4/5 km in più; con scarico modificato, cat. a 200 celle e finale ragazon, filtro a panello h&n e candele a 4 punte cambia già radicalmente parecchio, da 0-100 ci mette all'incirca 11/12 secondi il che può sembrare tanti ma per me sono pochi in quanto ho perennemente 280 kg di impianto audio fisso in macchina, levando l'impianto può stare tra i 9/10 sec
