  • Dedicated to all my Pleco fans. Continuous footage of the Pleco doing its thing - bit painful as the pleco lay there a good 30mins or so (which is what it does most of the time in my tank) before it did any fanatastic gymnastics. 😉
**Key moments in the video 37:56; 50:00**
The common Pleco is a catfish also known as the sucker mouth. It’s a tropical freshwater fish. I have one big one (about 30cm) in my tank and two very small ones.
Skip to around 50:00 in the video, where there’s a little surprise.
The small plecos are never out in the open they always hide away between the rocks and keep themselves busy with the algae. Today one came out and allowed me to video it.
Placko the Pleco was having a good time with algae on the glass that I cleaned off. I’ll be letting it grow back for him to enjoy again.
Please comment in the comment section below and let me know if it’s a good thing to let the algae grow on one side of the tank or keep the glass surfaces altogether ‘algae free’.
