- Dodge does muscle car like no other brand. The updated 2021 Durango SRT 392 creates MOPAR power in a SUV form. Under the hood is a 6.4L Hemi V8 that is pumping out 475HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Getting all that horsepower to the ground is an AWD system. On the outside of the Durango SRT you will find revised headlights, front fascia and other exterior touches. On the interior the biggest change is the 10.2in infotainment screen with UCONNECT5. Big shout out to Dodge for being the leader in the field when it comes to performance. I would encourage them to step up the interior quality and ambient lighting. I am definitely also ready for a new generation for the Durango, Challenger, and Charger.

Love mine in the snow. Just had a massive snow storm and with winter tires it’s amazing and the ground clearance is so nice when doing the donuts

Had a 2014 RT Durango. Loved that car. For the sticker price at the time ($46K), I felt as though it was the best of the larger SUVs in terms of value and content. The only issue was as my kids grew, the 3rd row started to get cramped for them on long trips which we take a lot of and had to trade it in. Great car though and we had zero issues with it.

This version actually looks better than the Hellcat version in my opinion, especially the wheels. I had a 2014 Durango, I’m amazed at how this design has aged so gracefully.

I enjoyed watching this. nice review. I've got a 2021 R/T with the Tow N' Go Package. Virtually all the same SRT goodness (wheel/tires, brakes, suspension, exhaust, body mods,) just without the larger engine! Would have been nice to have the SRT, but the TnG package gets me 80% of the fun more or less and all the practicality + I'm still able to save some money for the kids college savings. Look forward to seeing more reviews!

Another great video Joe. This is the vehicle that started it all for me. Saw a new 2018 Durango SRT on the showroom floor for 73k. I said I could get a Hellcat for that. Next day I bought my current 2018 Charger Hellcat for the same 73k.... & started my Ral Hellcat RUclips channel !
Good luck towing a boat with the Charger. That’s why I grabbed a Durango.

It is sad that we do not get the Durango SRT down here in Australia, because it does look like a great alternative to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, which is something we do get.

I love everything about this vehicle. But I have one complaint... since it's the updated version where the heck is the digital rear view camera? Its so much better to see whats behind you, instead of a bunch of people in your mirror haha 😄 love the video man!

Car manufacturers are laughing all the way to bank, knowing a consumer considers this overpriced vehicle, a bargain. This is why we have $75K pickup trucks today.
@@JBrown-go8ru the reality is cars are just more expensive now. It all depends on how you look at it. These cars as an overall package are impressive for the price. Front wheel drive minivans are easily into the 50s now.

Is a good time to buy cars with big engines because gas will keep getting cheaper and, with new tech, those engines are cleaner. And the sound it makes is glorious! Another thing is that the actual Durango style has been around 11 years and still looks much better than the competition.

I had a 2018 Durango r/t 2 years ago and now I got this one. The whole inside is way different and better. My interior is red with suede roof and sunroof and TVs

Wanted to ask you a quick one on the Durango SRT since I could not really find anything relevant on the web but since you are in research mode maybe you have better news for me than yhe blogs. Will there, or will there not be a 2022 Durango SRT. I was about to get it this year but it fell through so I a hoping for 2022 model to come up. A lot of people are saying that production of these monsters will be shut down ... But I am deeply hoping we will get to see them still next year :)

Love this muscle SUV Joe. What I'd tell Dodge is that still very little stock available. I'm In Texas and none near me in Corpus Christi for well over 300 miles. Plus, even nationwide, stock for more loaded Durango SRTs with Tech package, Premium Sound, DVD Entertainment System, Sunroof, Premium Interior, etc is less than a dozen. Plus, plus, too many Black ones. I had a 2017 Durango RT and got tired of washing several times per week. So, I'm still searching, but love this vehicle. How can anyone buy a tin can Kia Telluride after driving this car, lol

I really want one in my garage. But because of the price factor and taxes and everything, Dodge didn't quite sell a lot here in Malaysia. For example the 2014 Dodge Challenger 3.6 costs us around MYR488,888 ($121,056 in US dollars...) and the 2013 Charger costs around MYR508,888 (that's about $126,000 in US dollars) The only way to get our hands on one is to have the local dealership here to import it since there are no Dodge official dealerships here. May be a little bit tricky and time-consuming on the process but once it's done, satisfaction guaranteed. 👌🏻

Thanks Joe. Some feedback. 1, the SRT badged red trademark brembos are an option for the 5.7 RT Tow n’ Go package. 2. Doubtful we’ll ever see this unibody Durango platform with wider side molding/wide-body, in fact, ‘21 most likely the last of current iteration including a potential mothball of Durango badge-we’ll see what happens when FCA Jeep rolls out the pricier (greater margin) three row Grand. 3. I’d take back the “zonk” for the hood sprayers. I’ve owned vehicles with those positioned beneath hoods, angle is for shit when it comes to getting proper windshield spray on glass at speed. been wanting a new vehicle you definitely put this on my list very in-depth review very informative oh and fyi Twinkies are an entirely chemical product maybe get a little bruised in handling but they are forever they do not degrade

You can get it without the third row seats. It comes with in floor storage where the seats would have gone.
Keep the 3rd row folded down or get the 3rd row delete.
Still too long. I have a 7 seater now and it's rediculous. Like a hearse.

@@hawaiiboi5061 maybe, but I had issues with our new 4Runner within 2 years. My BMW M3 had issues within warranty time as well and I got rid of it before it ran out of warranty. Maybe something will happen, maybe not. Dodge and Jeep have been more reliable lately. I can’t speak for everyone else’s past experiences but their reliability rating has moved up significantly in recent years. I keep up with things like that because the automotive world is constantly changing. You don’t want to make a new vehicle purchase off of outdated info and I typically buy something every 2-3 years.

13 mpg is driving very easy,my friend has the grand cherokee SRT and it makes my Hellcat look very fuel efficient.about 10 -11 mpg is very accurate and thats not even dogging the shit out of it,I wanted one as my everyday daily but the fue consumption l is just insane ,if it were equal to the Hellcat i would but the Hellcat is better on fuel
@@frankie072 🤔 that’s interesting.... if you drive this suv regularly ( normally as well ) I’m surprised 10-11 is the esta images mpg but the jeep SRT is a very heavy SUV and it burns gas like an ass. The Durango however should present a difference with it’s body being changed... that’s very interesting I could only imagine what a trackhawk averages
I was on the highway today i saw a white Dodge Durango SRT just like the one in this video coming behind me from the rear view mirror but that one had wheels sticking out i dont suppose they came from the factory like that but it looked "SICK" with the hood scoop. Dodge did an amazing job on the design. i would like to know if they come with wheels sticking out from the facory?
