      Seems like the "fool" in all the april fool's day videos this year is that they're not really gags - this isn't the first video in this vein today. It's not a trick, it's not a gag, it's just kindof a 'weird' product, or "weird' project, but the video itself totally legit. I must've missed the memo, but I do know about the new cover sheets on the TPS reports - I got that memo from all 8 bosses...

      This “Money saving gadget” is a REAL (although 109% ripoff) item that is heavily targeting homeowners throughout the world who are (in actuality) being bent over by their local power companies.
      I found STOPWATT (same gimmick as in this video) then started researching a little. Thankfully, came across this honest review.

I have an electrical engineering degree and I can also do a pretty good search for scams. My mother has removed it. I’m not an electrician but I operated power plants for the local utility for years so I know a fair amount. These scam artists are genius with deceptive words but I was quite confident this device would actually increase your electric bill slightly. I watched several videos trying to warn folks not to buy this thing but yours was the only one that got into the actual electronics. I laughed my head off when you demonstrated the magic black box had absolutely no connection to the circuit and then the magic pixie dust was gold! Then as a grand finale shorting the circuit to trip the breaker in order to save energy. I loved it. So funny. It’s amazing what unsuspecting people will buy. Thanks for the video!

      What? For being a good comedian? I liked that shit, too, but without proving what that so-called "magical pixie dust" really was, and just why it can't do the trick, then he has nothing but a comedian's show. I've done electrical, too, Bro. I would've expected you to expound more on why he is right ...if he was even right. I guess you really don't know either. Rather, you were to caught up in the shits-&-giggles to put the final nail in the coffin, hum?

    • @KevinHouston-l8r
      @KevinHouston-l8r Год назад

      So it was a low voltage unit. Great! We're not trying to defeat the purpose anyway. And whatever that shit was, it sure looked like a filtering agent to me (hence the filtering of dirty electric mind you). You could, easily tell he was biased, from the get go ... especially when he said that he expected to find the black box filled, with glue or whatever. Then, to supplement his comedian-ship, he just dumped the contents, there of, on the table & made a spoof about it. But don't be a sucker. He might have just, arrogantly threw out the baby with the bathtub water. Ah! And you wouldn't even know Tesla's Majick, Mr. Experienced Electrician You. For all you know you might just resonate, with Matthias in deceived-ignorance. Js, Bro. Js

      @@KevinHouston-l8rDid you pay any attention to the ACTUAL CONTENT of the video, specifically the wiring diagram of zero through-put of the "magic black box"? Or the fact that no what that powder was, it COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. Nicola Tesla's genius notwithstanding.
      Your accusals of bias betray YOUR BIAS. JS JS

    • @KevinHouston-l8r
      @KevinHouston-l8r 11 месяцев назад

      What? Matthias' circuitry diagram, hum?.... claiming zero connection with the hot to the neutral (to complete the circuit), hum? Yeah, and he also implied that there was nothing of concern, on the back of the motherboard. Yet, I seen three components back there ...a capacitor, a resistor or whatever, etc. And those components have studs that run right through that board, to the other side and make connections to multiple spots on the other side of it. That said, in his comedian's display, he could have, easily, duped people. Or, if biased, blinded, himself, to the simple fact. And most people (even of credential) would just eat that shit up for breakfast, lunch and supper. At the end of the day, I don't give a fuck if Matthias, you, Tesla or I am right. But, I do care about what is right. And you'll have to do better than that to convince me. Js. Js. And a sound-defeat is welcomed, but neither him nor you have obliged me, yet, Sir. However, I encourage you to bring it on ...if you got it, cause I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong. Do you?

    That's what I call a comprehensive review based upon the finest scientific and engineering practices known to mankind, though, as Matthias would probably admit, neglecting the sledgehammer test was probably ill-advised. Nonetheless, the experiment proves the device can, with a little user innovation, actually save power. Excellent in all respects!

    At last...the first honest appraisal of these devices that I have seen - or, perhaps I am just jealous that I didn't think of it first... Actually, what a rip-off, it's that simple. And the amazing thing is that Amazon is full of this stuff, and some of it is really dangerous too... Jeff must sort out his act/platform... he bears some responsibility for ensuring that people aren't being injured either physically or economically through his shop...

    I was guessing they had a huge capacitor for power factor improvement. But you showed me that they don't even have nothing, other than a couple LEDs. Good educational video.

  • @Mrdibzahab
    @Mrdibzahab Год назад +27

    Some of those devices do contain a large capacitor (instead of a fake one). I modified one to be in series with a LED bulb, limiting its power usage from 13 to 5 Watts or so (all suggested by BigClive). Drawback: light output fluctuates quite a lot with line voltage. When the water kettle is switched on, it gets a little bit darker...

      So it's saving power AND an indicator of too much power draw in other devices. To the original makers of the device, that's like a bonus feature! Don't tell them or they're going to demand you pay them extra for more features!

      If a shopping mall only hired guards to protect only the store infrastructure yet allowed customers to be mugged and attacked then the would soon lose trade.

    The unfortunate part is that many people buy these items and believe they work. There was a much earlier version that actually made an attempt to correct the power factor, but it would only work on appliances with motors.

      What puts a BURR UNDER MY SADDLE, is the extent of this total SCAM coming out of Communist China, UNRESTRAINED in any way, and showing up in the most innocuous places on the internet - with a lot of scam “spokespeople” pushing it as well…
      The Lying, POS, manufacturers of this SCAM gadget have spent A LOT on internet advertising. They actually BUILT a real-looking gizmo, somewhere in mainland China, possibly Taiwan, they’re paying for production, shipping, advertising-- The Government in which these ____les produce these items HAS to know about them and this 100% Bogus item.
      NOT that rip-off artists & Snake-Oil salesmen haven’t been around since Cain & Able…. But….
      That speaks VOLUMES about the GOVERNMENT, that allows these rip-off manufacturers. Also VOLUMES as to the morals, or lack of, of these Communist Capitalists.
