Hey Fam. Here's my almost 2 hours trip to get some organic fertilizer: ruclips.net/video/4nEEjo-15lQ/видео.html Happy Spring gardening!!! Have you prepared your soil yet? What kinds of vegetables are you planting this year? Is your weather good enough to transplant your seedlings outside? Our weather here in zone 8b is playing 'hide and seek' with us.......hot in the day and freezing at night. 😂😂😂
Great way to prep your soil. I do that with leaves from my yard and food scraps in the fall. I ensure to bury them so rodents don't get into it. Here in Minnesota by spring they would have decomposed adding nutrients to my soil but also helping to loosen the clay soil i have. So easy to spend 4 plus hrs in the garden, and make it fun with some music. I am planting hot and sweet bell peppers, kale, bitterleaf, waterleaf, corn, sweet and Irish potatoes, lettuce, lots of herbs too. Great video.
Fantastic demonstration & explanation Sylvia! So happy to watch you enjoying gardening and you have a HUGE gardening plot to grow all of your favorites! I'm growing some annuals, such as tomatoes, peppers, basil, radishes, etc... but currently growing mostly fruit trees such as lemons, pluots, pomegranates and figs. Each year I am so excited to reap the health & nutrition the backyard garden offers me and my family! I hope this year is your BEST growing season! Happy Gardening, Charles :-)
Your garden is beautiful we can’t overwinter bitterleaf here. I use the no-dig method by topping the soil with compost over the winter/early spring it’s definitely easier than digging. And soil disturbance is minimal produducing better plants.
Good job. I'm going to incorporate some cow manure into some not so great soil for my garden eggs. I'm looking for some pumpkin seeds to plant this year. Keep up the good work 👏
Had to have spent at least 3 or 4 hours!!! Lol I love it tho i would sleep in my garden if I could I'm out there more than I'm in my house lol!! Thanks for sharing this "old school" method I love learning something old!! GOD bless!
I enjoyed your video and the tips on how to garden. Do you have any tips on how to protect the Bitter leaves from harsh winter cold weather and snow. Where I live is very cold and snowy. This year I planted some bitter leaves and I don’t want to lose them.
Hi Njideka. You can cut the bitterleaf stems, plant them in a container indoor under a grow light. Do this few weeks before winter hits so you have stems to plant in your garden the following planting season (Late Spring/Early Summer months). Here's the grow light that I use: amzn.to/48vR8d9
Thanks for sharing these gardening videos. Where do I order bitter leaf seeds in the states, I wonder. My guess is you were in the garden for approximately 8-10 hours... Am I close?👀
Almost that long. 😆 🤣 You can reach me with Sylviaenefioksandy@gmail.com to mail the bitterleaf stems to you if you're interested. Thank you for watching. ❤️ ❤️
Hi! I think you spent 3 to 4 hours in the garden. This spring, I'm planting potatoes, string beans, carrots onions, and peppers. I will plant cabbage and collards in the fall.

Your compost against and on your wooden fence, it will compost your wooden fence. Your fence will rot and compost.
