Hi i have no insurance and recently had a medical emergency happen to me i hemmorraged lost alot of blood had to get a blood transfusion and my obgyn wants to schedule a partial hysterectomy for march 8 but now the hospital is charging me 24,000 total for the surgery and i am trying to qualify for the financial assistance program they have but i am so scared that i may not get this done ive been so down😢 im praying for a miracle
I do need some help affording my top surgery! I'm getting it done by Dr Mosser. I have a gofundme but his starting price is $10.4K, and I'm on the poverty line and filed bankrupt so I can't even request a loan. I'm scheduled for my consult in Feb.
@@aflashin-time2260 yo that’s cool you still responded. I’m just having trouble with raising money with other expenses and my dysphoria keeps getting worse so waiting seems so unappealing.
@@parker6130 I started up a grant, but it's only for people within the Kansas City, MO area. I would reach out to facebook groups and see if you can get ideas/support.
@@aflashin-time2260 thanks much I appreciate it… would you mind helping me to post it cause I’ve tried some but so far nothing has happened and I am really desperate. Thanks!
@@parker6130 If you are referring to just posting a gofundme, you have to do a bit more than that. That's why I had a drag show, sold t-shirts, and bracelets.
I have a gofundme but the problem is I’m stealth in my town so not many people know I’m transgender so it’s hard for me to share it out there. Any advice ?
My advice is share it with people outside of your area like any facebook groups. I even found some trans people around the US wanted to contribute in these groups. So look for places that bring in a lot of traffic outside your area. Be aware there could be some haters. I posted mine in a buy, sell, trade group in a town near me and I had one person go off on me. Surprisingly that actually caused so many people to be upset a them that even more people donated to me.
That’s so cool, Riley! I didn’t realize how well all your fundraisers did! Thanks for sharing all your tips with the world 😁
Yes I was super pleased with the success!

Is it possible to get insurance or get it done at another hospital? I'm sorry to hear you are going through that.
Oooh that's who I'm going to be going to awesome!!!
This is really helpful thank you!
You're welcome.

I would look into cheaper surgeons personally. Dr. Wolf is $6400 and Dr. Raphael in Texas is $6000.
