    Just had my 6’4 turn up it feels great rails are to low or to full. Rocker is definitely less then my gamma. It’s narrow then the matching length gamma. But the decks flatter and holds its volume out further. I’m on the Gold Coast of Aus and feel this will be a great 90% of the time board. Throw a mash up in if your a FireWire fan to cover 99% of the time

      Thanks for comparison! I have a gamma and was wondering how the boards would compare.

    Lovely looking board but even with added volume this looks very much like a good wave hpsb rather than a daily board for UK waves.

    • @BoardshopUK
      @BoardshopUK  Год назад +1

      Not at all! The Rocker is a lot less than you would expect. This will be a good board for waves from waist high and over. Ideal for the pool too!

    Firewire stopped making the Gamma leaving a vacuum in this area, looks like they have brought a similar design back..?

    • @BoardshopUK
      @BoardshopUK  Год назад +2

      Similar. The new FRK + has less rocker and a touch more user friendly. It has heaps of performance but is accessible.

    Would you recommend as a travel board?

    • @BoardshopUK
      @BoardshopUK  Год назад +3

      For sure! Has a huge range. Take on a wide range of waves. Varying style of wave and size too.

    • @DarkWillg21
      @DarkWillg21 Год назад +1

      @@BoardshopUK would you size it up to get more volume for bigger waves? Or just go with your regular shortboard volume

    Good video thanks for sharing, couple of questions if I may.
    How does i-bolic compare to helium and volcanic in regards to weight, feel, durability, etc...they seem pretty similar?
    How does this compare to the dom2?
    Thanks v. Much and keep up the great content
    J

    • @BoardshopUK
      @BoardshopUK  Год назад +2

      Good questions. All constructions are great. Ibolic sits lower in the water for sure. Comparing this to a DOm 2.0... Way more perforamnce, more rocker and a better wave needed for the FRK +

    • @foxgd88
      @foxgd88 Год назад +2

      @@jamesbrown2602 futures is more user friendly, better range (more specific not just some ass saying carver and reactor, there’s actually numbers for flex) and they are stronger. No one cares if you got a faulty one but I’ve had way too many fcs2 dings when it hits a rock and futures hasn’t ever happened yet so I’m exited for this. Makes shopping FireWire easier
