Ok, I forgot about the existence of the Basmu! Warframe has a lot of amazing weapons so as soon as I remembered the Basmu I rushed to see how she handles with the Galvanized mods in the new Meta!
The Results? Absolutely Amazing! But I'll let you fantastic people judge for yourself in this full Build Guide!

Emptying the magazine can be good in a pinch. That syphoning also stuns all enemies around you. You can use it to heal safely while enemies are stunned.
Edit: Also to point out, using just 60/60 toxin mod gives you gas + corrosive on the weapon. With any grouping ability it's beautiful.
Actually it's only enemies you've damaged with said bullets in clip

And yes, that was pretty hard but I did it and from time to time I still take it on a missions even when I have nantruk and lacera bla bla bla cycron :D
yeah it siphons hp and stuff which is good ALSO im pretty sure if u have longer reload time u have more siphoning due to longer reload

I love this gun so much honest to God it's so much fun no matter how relatively mediocre it can feel sometimes
I use this as my primary to clean up mobs and use that evolving handgun to take down boss/tough units
Sentient weapons are absolutely awesome, yes! They’re pretty as well. Something tells me that DE could do something with them like how they revisited some guns with Incarnon. Sentient weapons would play very well in that considering sentients are robots. Maybe adding a new space on our ships that is sentient themed. Maybe a derelict sentient ship (or pieces) rammed into our ship and integrated themselves into it. Ordis needs a story again.
The Basmu has been one of my to 5 favorite guns in Warframe hands down. I've got something like 3000hrs in the game, mastered damn near everything and still love this gun as a top 5. It's fun, easy to use, super effective and very satisfying.
I really love the feel of this weapon.

Would love to see a video on the tenet tetra and how the AOE nerf has affected it. Still I consider it to be a very versatile weapon and think that it is interesting enough to warrant a video. You don't see AOE stats like that weapon has almost ever.

Still a solid workhorse tbh. Build on PC doesn’t have a riven and it holds up well in SP endurance runs, build on Xbox has a Riven and it holds up even better.
I am REALLY sad that Gas is so worthless. Super low damage, no armor bypass, resisted by heavy armor, zero crowd control, and the effect is over in seconds. Like, raw Fire procs are better than Gas, so why would I build for Gas when I can have heat AND either Viral or Corrosive instead (Since Gas locks you out of both of those options)?
If they could make Gas worth a damn, it could actually allow single-target status weapons like the Parvos Flux Rifle to feel usable even in high level content. I really REALLY wish they'd allow the damage to stack past 10 stacks or something. :s
People dont talk about this enough ...but tbh ...Terminal Velocity is God Tier 💯
Its meh if you have a groll with +recoil, the +accuracy mod is better

I just solo the hell of a grind for Grendel, why? subsume, had no idea, OMG did I regret it. During excavation I died 4 times, just couldn't find the right weapons and I refused to look it up. Cuz, the mission said no mods, and!!! no operator, no incarna, no packs!!!. Vauban main, but no energy!!! So I grabbed the Basmu, Nukor, and Silva&Anguis and picked Tatania baby for escaping and made it. Fell in love with Basmu!!! Now I'm looking at your vid and modding the hell out of it. Thank you mate!

There is only one skin for the Basmu, the Days of the Dead Basmu skin, but it's nothing drastic like more premium skins
I have stopped playing the game for so many months,getting in just to do 1 mission to see if I want to play more , never playing more , since I don't have what to do ,but I will always watch your guides no matter if I play or not . Much love to yah brotha

I always liked the Basmu. Its really great to see it perfoming good x3
I miss when the gas element made so many weapons more interesting, Basmu among them. Still, its one of my favourites even now, it just rocks to fire it in like 5-10 shot bursts. As for the Eximus slot, I like Guided Ordinance as it makes it group that little bit tighter.
Using this on harrow with arcane avenger and hunter munitions makes the alt fire so satisfying

The basmu is my most used weapon. I have a cc cd -corpus riven. 2 things: 1. I would kind of like it if the secondary fire was changed to the destroyer place shot thingy from doom 2. 2. I wish Cascadia overcharge worked on primary weapons. It would be great on the basmu as it currently is and other weapons like the phage.

A while back i tried to make this weapon work but gave up. Pulled a riven for it yesterday and decided to give it another shot. This thing melts 190 heavy gunners in the simulacrum, with both viral or gas.
I think I'm going to give this weapon another try. I used it as MR fodder but bought two more from Blue Girl during Halloween 😁👍. Looks fun, ty 👍

try that with saryn and xaku one for saryn 4, plus korrossive augment :)
I think the last build was great and all but the gas wasn’t doing anything. They were dying from slash and heat procs

This is my favorite primary, to the point I bought a riven for new war back in the day and holy shit, now that weapon is a beast. Glad that this thing is good to both do dmg and get back HP
Its just the og pulse gun/link gun from unreal tournament (but links enemies bc that makes more sense in Warframe)
Runninga status build and gas viral combo is super fun. Not necessarily good
an interesting build i've recently set up on this weapon is building it with a high amount of cold damage and paring it with the recently added arcane that gives multishot and crit damage fer cold status x40, and running it with mesa built for BB. the beam alone when it is fired with BB can deal upwards of 10+mil damage.
also fun fact, due to basmu's beam having a chain all targets attached to the beam that had BB used on will make the damage travel down the chain.
How do you add cold to it? It combines with it's innate electricity and heat instantly
@@DumbArsefor weapons that have innate elements, if you want to add on a primary element like cold you would have to first add a mod of the same innate element and then combine it with something else.
So if you want corrosive cold on the basmu you have to first put on an electricity mod, then a toxin and finally the cold mod

Been playing d2 a lot rn it’s kinda in a dry spell might comeback and play some warframe I remember last time I used this gun it was pretty mid
any plans on covering the Catabolyst? as a primer is gets overshadowed by the nukor but I've been using cascadia empowered with it and the rivens for it are great!

What mod can you replace for the riven on the viral build
I would think a faction mod or hammer shot which gives you crit damage and status chance. That would be good for applying status procs with your secondary fire to prime the enemies and more crit damage. Leyzar always mentions vigilante armaments for the multishot. I like to add fire rate because it gives the weapon a more dps feel, but in the case of the basmu, it has a small magazine and you'll be reloading it all the time. Just try it with whatever mod makes the gun feel better for you.

There is a skin for this gun. I don't remember how I got it but it exists.

The build I managed to throw on this gives guaranteed status and if you’re in range of that pulse keeps you invincible. This thing changed steel path for me.
Strongly recommend building for status and not crit. Throw a Galvanized Aptitude on there and it’s a wrap 🤘.

I use it with Gauss when bored of Acceltra. They should have used laser sound effects for it when firing.

The heal after emptying the clip is good of you haven't unlocked the helminth system as a whole and farmed the necessary frames to use

It works great with Chroma, especially if you're using an ice ward. I'm considering switching to a Smeeta Kavat from a Vulpaphyla for the extra crit chance for the secondary fire.

try it with critical delay + vile acceleration + serration + vital sense + high voltage + malignant force + galvanized chamber + galvanized aptitude and guided ordnance in exilus

I out 4 formas on this gun and used it alot after the Phenix. Like it alot, haven't used it n forever.
Hmm interesting build my build usually tears through corrupted heavy gunners I kinda don't like waiting for slash sadly
First they nerf AoE
Aaaand.....im calling my prediction here:
Second they will nerf Status DoT
Third they will nerf Eclipse and Garuda Passive
Fourth they will nerf Heavy Weapon Damage.
Fifth they will nerf warframe/helminth powers that spread direct damage to nearby enemies.

After nerf : corrosive . And i kill a bunch of enemies in no time without using my whole magazing
Viral slash in general is used to kill high level targets. Even basic melee can kill lvl 120 enemies. We can strip armor and shields with operator now so corrosive is kinda mute.
