- The focus of today's episode is the new content added in Update 1 for Sons of the Forest. I'm going to try out the new Glider, get the Binoculars, and pay a visit to the new cave dwellers!

you can lock doors from either side. it would keep cannibals from attacking the supports on the inside. (love u big man btw)
You can place them down to fill the apex, it’s how I’ve been doing it. Also after giving Virginia the guns, new ones spawn

That tower is sick you should build multiple towers or another one with a rope bridge between them and a massive gate in the middle or towers around the island you can handglide tower to tower. I love all the builds you do keep up the amazing work 😎🍻 I can't wait too get this game I've got ao many ideas for builds.

I made a succession of ziplines up to a glider spawn point, only to find that the glider will not respawn there, and I cannot use the zipline while holding the glider. Ahh well. Hopefully they give us a way to dismantle the glider and carry it.
I'm glad that small drama that happened between you and vlad it's over. This was really stupid. There was no reason for any of this to happen. After all this shit I demand to see both of you play together. But why stop there and not take it to the next level and make a whole series together. I'm sure that you will learn something from each other.

You can place creepy armor on shelves if you dont wanna miss out on collecting any! A mannequin would definitely be cool, but shelves would help in the meantime @broadbent

If you tap E while going down a steep zipline it used to kill you because it thought it was fall damage. I haven't had it happen since the update. (Since not Sine)

you dont really need something high to get you offground with the glider. 5ft wil do .
and when u speed down and go up , do that a few times and u wil get higher than the Clouds.

Broadbent could you build a Launchpad using zipline for the glider, can you use the glider on the zipline that would be really cool to see.

I dont know how invested I want to become into a save file yet..... But from watching your videos I am getting kinda excited and wanna construct many different bases as well... But would hate to see it go to waste

trim the logs first then place them so you dont lose pieces

I feel like such an idiot, I can't make the sled or the glider work! I stood on the precipice, tried every key on the keyboard, and jumped to my death. It's probably such a simple answer, no youtuber has said how to make it work. PLEASE tell me how to activate them....
If you have the chainsaw it shreds through cannibals but i havent played in like a week and a half so they might have changed it
Another useful tip is if you want to take off your armor, you can just equip the golden armor and it will put all of your armor in your inventory. Just equip another piece of clothing and you can put the armors back on.
Imagine this tower is just a corner wall of a castle
Honestly. Get a few friends together and it can totally be done. Or give BB like 10 minutes.
hey, broadbent, i remember in your video when you made ziplines, and you were wondering about vertical ziplines, like an elevator, and, its possible. its finnicky, but all that matters is that it works

There was actually a glider just up the hill to the right when you look inland from the kiaks where you picked up the binoculars. there are 11 around the map.
You still can put the halves and the quarters in the corners even if you don't have the arrow from the pillar. You put them on the marker of the horizontal log and they will adjust themselves.

you should se far away wiith the rope gun, and shoot on the first target and walk as far as possible, and shoot as far as possible to the second location. (for longest distance)

i got skill issues with the glider. smh. plus its clunky and has to be up high to use, smh. better than walking i guess. waiting on golf cart.

Has anyone tried anchoring a platform using only ropes?
Try and place a roof on the top first and then the half wal maybe it needs to count as a roof for the half logs to go into it
You don’t even need a a high cliff to fly with the glider my bases on the beach on sea level as low as you can be and I can jump off a tiny cliff and pick up enough altitude to reach the mountain tops, just need to rotate WASD keys and you’ll pick up altitude

they should make it much harder to get food from animals, the traps should be the only way to catch squirrels and rabbits, fish traps should be the only way to get fish, should only be able to make kelvin go get the fish from the traps. got a lot of cool ideas.
If you press g you will stash your glider (only works with glider)
It would be cool if you could mark trees that you want to cut down, with like a can of spray paint. And Kelvin would cut them down if you tell him to.

theres no damage when plummeting to the ground with the glider
Put doors on the tower, but put half of the locks on the outside. That way you can always get in and out
If you dip down witba glider and then pull up a bit you can get as much hight as you want
@Broadbent I think if you raise the logs so they're on the 1x1 grid it might allow you to fill in the triangles on the top

Looking forward to seeing the "Broadway" built. I built a very long and extensive network of ziplines from one side of the map to the other and to various caves and POIs for when I want to make a resupply run. I used the small treehouse platform, and in some intances I regret it. I was hurrying though and I didn't feel like taking the extra time to cut down more trees.

you only take fall damage when you jump before going down the zipline. At least that's what I have found.

you don’t need to cut a path for the zip line, you go through the trees. i have a network of zip lines on my server :)
