Ellwangen (Jagst) is a town in eastern Baden-Württemberg, about 17 kilometers north of Aalen. With around 24,500 inhabitants, it is the third largest city in the Ostalb district after Aalen and Schwäbisch Gmünd and a central center for the surrounding communities. It belongs to the Ostwuerttemberg region.
