I remember a game I had some days ago with a friend. It was 2v2 and I told my friend to hold v2 while I would boom like a madman. He bought me time and I did a 5/6 tc boom into 200 vills. Once I was imp I deleted them all and made 200 ballista elephant, deleted the walls and steamrolled the opposing team. Before resigning one of the two asked in chat how do you counter these beasts. My only response was "prayers". Good times
@@jeffery_tang even though to be honest the hard counter to them is siege rams cause they do pierce damage and are considered siege weapon and as such siege rams have a ton of bonus damage vs them
I'm surprised by how well the Keshiks did. Now I really want to see these Cataphract-looking guys have their own video, even more then I did prieviously.

The Khmer Empire used to be my favorite civilization of all time (having now been replaced by the Kingdom of Georgia), so this unit and civilization holds a special place in my heart. I like the video!

@@Apocalypso64 well im glad you like our country. when i tell people from us that im from georgia they think im from the state georgia so i always have to tell them that there is a country named georgia that has existed for a lot longer than usa. the architecture is really nice here and our medieval age was good. we used to have bigger territories and were one of the stronger civilizations back then. but now we are weaker and our 20 % is occupied by russia.
Man! Ballista Elephants are one of the funniest unique units in the game, and I already love elephants in general. 🐘 They're weird in practice, because of they have low damage on their own, but they're really strong once massed, but expensive making that tricky unless Khmer gets enough time to boom. At least Khmer's farm eco bonus is ridiculously good, even after its recent nerf. I also enjoy taking advantage of their ability to cut down trees in castle age, whereas other civs need their onager upgrade in Imperial age in order to do that, so I can surprise foes with a Balista Elephant rush in maps like Hideout or Black forest! XD

I think with Leitis you should assume 1 or two relics. Any game you´re going leitis you also try to pick up some relics, and one or two should be reasonable to assume in post imp.
My mom's parents lived in Southeast Asia for many years and were familiar with elephants. When I showed the game to my grandma, she thought the ballista elephants were just the funniest thing. Especially since the ballista bolts are in flames after chemistry is researched, and elephants are afraid of fire...

@@diegeigergarnele7975 but rams dont auto attack enemy units, but a good combo of siege onagers+ halb + uu anti cav in stagger formation do the job

They got pretty lucky with the auto attack leaving so many low HP but with an advantage. Definitely a fight worth taking for archers to me
Those Tarkans took a nearly 2:1 resource disadvantage fight and won.
