I love how they're so used to performing in enclosed spaces that even when they have an entire stage to work with, they still built a little booth to huddle into it. True adherents to their craft.
the reason they do this is because without such a barrier, the radiating STANK of their music will infect the whole crowd, turning them all into clowns of similar strange musical nature. if it were to ever happen, utter chaos would ensue
I was at the Iceland show, amazing vibe and the audience was basically the entire Icelandic musician community. One of the best gigs and live shows in years.
@@Neon_Specs Yeah, at the very, very beginning of the show, just as "3" was starting. I don't remember if she was directly next to me or a couple people over, but it was fairly close to the stage, near the middle-left. I just remember me and everyone else stepping aside to give her room and going "Shit! Shit! Shit!" before someone else in the crowd helped her up and carried her out. That was the last I saw of either of them.
Hey, that was me!! I'm okay. I actually went down a couple more times while my girlfriend and I were trying to get out. Fortunately I'm Canadian so I'm actually in the middle of lots of diagnostics to make sure my heart and brain are working okay. Fortunately I was also at the show the night before. But while I was waiting outside for the Uber, all I wanted was to go back inside. 🥲
@@protowave I mean tbf no they aren’t. Solo by definition is when a musician is featured and singled out. An Improvised Solo is Improvised by definition. For hundreds of years, classical musicians had “solos” that were precomposed. Rock and metal have solos that are also precomposed.
Imo unique solos every time are the way to go, especially for a band like this. The solos in the recordings are all obviously very good, but if you wanted to listen to that EXACT song, you can pull up the recording any time.
I was equally upset about the change. I get improvising a bit, but I think changing it that much (and simplifying it) took away from what many consider the highlight of the song.
no one mentioned it, but gotta appreciate the person filming for turning the camera away during the moment of technical difficulty on stage, meaning they were thinking about you the viewer and having your sense of immersion diminished ..or mayb they just needed to scratch their balls for a moment, who fuckin knows
Me: Hey Clown Core, could you do a Chewbacca impression for me?
Clown Core: 5:06
How is this not Cole it's gotta be

Oh man it pains me they changed the solo on computers, it was my favorite part :'(
not how solos work unfortunately. sam gendel is a very talented artist, that's just how he felt felt like playing it that day
solos are improvised by definition...
