@@Ryan-qn1wr yeah they same to have everything to mutual funds, etfs and options trading. Good format too. It was the first investment I used and I love it.
Day Trading is a different strategy that deals with short term profits and is successful for lots of people who know what they’re doing. If an individual chooses to day trading that’s a risk they should be free to take so long as they understand the potential risks. The reason so many people fail is because they fail to do this. Choosing to devalue a brokerage for offering this as an option is like alienating a grocery company that sells its customers cigarettes or alcohol.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Couldn't have said it better myself. Options trading, done the correct way, can offer many strategies and protections for investors, such as buying put options to protect someone's portfolio from any sudden market crash. It works exactly like insurance. This is the first video I've watched from this RUclipsr and I don't think he knows the reason why options exist. I understand that he is most likely implying that the majority use options the wrong way and many people treat it like gambling. However, it makes no sense at all why it should not be offered so that both experienced or new investors can learn and adapt new strategies to better protect their investment. Hmmm, I'm very hesitant to listen to this guy... clearly does not do his DD.
Put your money in an S&P 500 Roth IRA, make the maximum annual contribution each year, wait until your 75, and enjoy your work. Easy. Just make sure to live until 75, that's the tricky part.
At least back when I first opened my account in 2016, TD Ameritrade was a really good move for a couple of reasons; low transaction fees (now nonexistent to my knowledge), and they give you access to several country-specific stock markets, such as the UK and China. I still use them because their interface is pretty simple to use.

Loved Robinhood until they grouped me into the GME people and tied up my money for a month. Love that GUI though. They'll get better still a good company. They changed the game and deserve a lot for that. I left for now but still respect the company.
Public feels so manipulated. "Advisors" just posting a trade with a bunch of BS below it, followed by tons of people buying the stock and then that stock magically disappearing from their portfolio.
Looks like you put a lot of effort into this video - great job. I was with Morgan Stanley for a number of years and decided to make a change. I am now with Edward Jones but making the transfer was financially painful. Morgan Stanley charged me $375 (broker to broker) plus another $200 annual fee for the first 5 days of the new year. Hope this may help others when picking a new broker.
Thank you for your research on brokerage firms. Smashing the "like" button. I've been experimenting with selling options (cash covered puts, some covered calls). It's going well, but I'm interested to hear your take on it.
Idk, something tells me this guy doesn't like day-trading...With that being said, the man is discounting these brokers for being good brokers for day-trading. Not a good review.
I'm about to dive in investing for my future after watching this vid. I've been watching the market and learning about it on and off since 2000. I really loved this video and I will be checking back in at the end of the year to see the journey come full circle. Thank you.
I use Ally Invest and Vanguard. I like them. No real issues for me. I may open a Fidelity account soon also to take advantage of fractional shares. There's no real trading fees anymore like in the past.
I can tell you from my experience. Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood, and Interactive Brokers all allow for fractional shares. Vanguard and Ally Invest do not. But Robinhood does not allow for DRIP or Diviend Reinvestments so it's not automated in that regard. Vanguard and Ally Invest do allow for automated DRIP, and Vanguard allows for auto purchases of their mutual funds which I use frequently. Hope that helps!
It's gotten worse over time, especially 2020. Just like their APY and what not. A lot of UI issues recently due to high volume of customers. It's a hit or miss on customer service. Depends on the difficulty on your question/problem. If you can go without contacting the Customer Service, it's an overall good broker.
Hey Shane! Hi. I left Walmart a year ago but I still have Merrill Lynch handling my 401K. The other day ML put my 401K into an IRA. Please Shane tell me about the fees? I'm worried ML might be too costly. I just want LOW cost index funds. Low xpense ratios. Is this good for me? I am self directing. Thank you!!!
Merrill Lynch is the custodian for Walmart. If they put your 401(k) into an IRA, it’s most likely Merrill Edge. Merrill Edge is $0 commission and are a great choice if you’re confident in investing by yourself. Check out their Research feature, you can filter what you want. If you are going for passive index funds, I want to say they mainly use T. Rowe Price for them.
Great vid Shane! And also just a question since you briefly spoke about it in you science degree tier list, how solid of a degree is microbiology? I’m sure you would have a solid opinion on it since you work in pharmaceuticals. Thanks in advance

FINALLY a comprehensive review you can rely on! Well done and great inspiration for my next video! 💓
Thanks Marco! More power to your channel
@@ShaneHummus I'm thinking of doing the same but for the UK cause that's where I live and I would do ANYTHING to receive a shout-out from you!!
Very helpful and supports my assessments on the more well known!
I really enjoy Fidelity, but I can't stand their app. Once they get that issue resolved, I will make them my permanent brokerage
Can you buy penny stocks?
@@GorillaEats777 It depends. You can buy any penny stock from ONE dollar and up but nothing below ONE.
best video I found now I know what 3 to look into and not bother with the others thanks for the great comparison
Thank you so much for this video!! Really helpful.
Which would you recommend for teenagers to start practicing and learn investing?

Robinhood.
@@gamingwithpurg3anarchy157 bruh
Public feels so manipulated. "Advisors" just posting a trade with a bunch of BS below it, followed by tons of people buying the stock and then that stock magically disappearing from their portfolio.
Best brokerage for OTC stocks? Thank you in advance!
Charles Schwab
I'm in robinhood currently. A dividend investor. Which brokerage should I switch to? I dont believe in robinhood's future
Someone keep me updated on which broker is best for AMC GMC AND DOGECOIN
Same
Nok
fidelity has been my go to for years
Thanks! Hello from Brazil...
How has it been with Edward Jones?
Thank you for your research on brokerage firms. Smashing the "like" button. I've been experimenting with selling options (cash covered puts, some covered calls). It's going well, but I'm interested to hear your take on it.
Thanks for sharing that. Sales must be for you, good!
Idk, something tells me this guy doesn't like day-trading...With that being said, the man is discounting these brokers for being good brokers for day-trading. Not a good review.
While I agree, he's also stating that it's a high risk/high reward factor. Most people that get into day trading fail.
Thank you for the video .. u have gained a new follower
I'm about to dive in investing for my future after watching this vid. I've been watching the market and learning about it on and off since 2000. I really loved this video and I will be checking back in at the end of the year to see the journey come full circle. Thank you.
For good broker dm @larry.martin.fx on Instagram
I’m thinking about investing. How is it going ?
How much fidelity charge per trade???
Does it matter how much money you use on each buy?
Am using Robinhood right now
Looking for a better broker
I use Ally Invest and Vanguard. I like them. No real issues for me. I may open a Fidelity account soon also to take advantage of fractional shares. There's no real trading fees anymore like in the past.
This didn't mention the things that matter to me such as do they allow fractional trading, automation, ect. Great video, just not enough info
Why would a company lose respect just because they’ve decided to also offer a day trading or options platform??
@@bufordthecamel6369 I agree. I sell puts many of the times and also covered calls. I don’t see how any of those would be gambling.
Nice video. I mostly use fidelity and td, but also sofi a lot too now.
Ally is the worst actually, bad customer services, long execution time
Thanks for sharing your opinion Emily
It's gotten worse over time, especially 2020. Just like their APY and what not. A lot of UI issues recently due to high volume of customers. It's a hit or miss on customer service. Depends on the difficulty on your question/problem. If you can go without contacting the Customer Service, it's an overall good broker.
Ally is horrible, avoid this entire brand
Hey Shane!
Am I the only person here who never used Robinhood? Seriously it seems as though almost everyone has fallen for their marketing.
I just called Ally and they had amazing customer service - great tip thx.
Great vid Shane! And also just a question since you briefly spoke about it in you science degree tier list, how solid of a degree is microbiology? I’m sure you would have a solid opinion on it since you work in pharmaceuticals. Thanks in advance

good info! I have a Robinhood account and if was fine til someone hacked it now I cannot buy and no one has responded to my pleas for help
Don’t trust them
Great video! You should make a video about project management, or management careers!

Love Fidelity!
Good And Informative Video I like it 👌
Would have been good to mention the differences between Webull and Robinhood's margin rates, as well as trading charts and etc.
Super helpful, I really appreciate all your research for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
Putting Robinhood into “strong A tier status” didn’t age well 😂
My thoughts exactly
Is there any danger of using multiple platforms? I have robinhood, Betterment, and schwab.. wanted to try etrade.
Most newbies fail simply because they don't understand how the market works in general or in particular how the market relates to stock or currency pair they entering. If a retail trades doesn't grasp what the market makers are doing and when they are doing it, the greatest strategy in the world will fall. For new traders the markets are like entering an F1 race before you've passed your drivers license test. I am a beginner I never believe I made $30,000 in just 1 week from trading and with the market. an expert financial analysis and he made me-learn to read and understand the language of price action. He guides me with the exact time frame to trade and now I just received my first withdrawals of $30k in my bank account today I'm very happy, my advice is for you to contact him he will guide you perfectly well, and thank me later, I guess this is a good way to show my heartfelt appreciation for literally breaking the chain of my financial debit when I needed it most. I use Morgan Stanley and you didn’t review them. I’m curious your take
could you possibly make a similar list for international peeps , Maybe with a focus on EU :P
Noted Omar
@shanehummus please make this video on which are the better international brokers
Thanks so much... I have WeBull and Robinhood... But I was looking into another broker... This video helped.

19 I use acorns to invest since I'm a beginner and is just seeing if my money will grow or not
Acorn is ok but the investing takes a long time like 2-3 days I think
@Emilio Molina I started on Robin hood a year ago and knew nothing Robin hood is good
Thank you for the video 👍🏽
I'm 19 just starting to invest!
Nice.. Good luck Sarina
You got this bruh
Could you recommend me any good stockbrokers you know off? I am 18 and I am just getting started too!
And what do you think about stock broker or money makers from out of US? like ETORO or Trading212 ??
you just said which company you like, not the details about what the platform looks like for example webull v robinhood, webull offers things like ira investment and even that wasnt mentioned.
Fractional shares, automation, so much not even mentioned. He might as well just told us which icons he liked - I totally get what you're saying.
