Made this recipe today in a crockpot with an 8 pound pork shoulder. I doubled the recipe to match the roast. Came out super good. The gravy made outstanding green bean casserole. I’ll be doing this many more times.
Wunderbar! Next time I will do it in the crockpot, great idea! Thank you!
That's were my family is from and the food is delicious. The recipe looks wonderful, i can almost taste it. Thank for sharing
Thank you for watching and taking the time to write. Hope you will try the recipe and enjoy.
If you don't feel like clarifying butter, ghee(Indian) works just as well.
That is true, it is basically the same. But much cheaper to prepare it yourself.
Beautiful dish!!! I want to thank you for it! I bought a pork prime roast from my local farmers market. Couldn't figure out what to do with it till I found this video.
How wonderful, so happy you found my video. Thank you so much for giving the recipe a try.
My wife is from this area and this is one of my favorite dishes she makes. Her family recipe is a little different but not far off from this one.
That´s lovely, thank you for sharing this little insight with us.
Beautiful. I'll try this for sure, as it looks like a flavor explosion!
Thank you, that would be wonderful, I am sure you will love it!
Thanks for the informative video. I honeymooned in Germany many years ago and I loved my time in Bavaria. My favourite was the schweinshaxe with knödel was my favourite! Looking forward to more videos. Sending you my support my friend. Cheers!
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your lovely memories.
Butterschmalz rocks 😊👌👍
I agree :)
This looks delicious.
Thank you, Sean!
I am new to your YT. Do you still make videos?
I like German dishes, but I haven't seen you upload any video for 5 month. So sad
Thank you Anna, I was very busy, but I uploaded a new video today and I will upload again more regulary.
Can you think 🤔 of a substitute for beer 🍺?
I'm definitely going to try this 😍😍
Please do! Thank you!
@@AllTastesGerman I will😊 thank you for posting the lovely recipes on your channel.
Greetings from Australia to you 🙏💥
Could this be done in the slow cooker?
That´s a great question. I never tried it but I am pretty sure it would work out very well.
@@AllTastesGerman I'm thinking the beer would go in about 2hrs before serving?
My mouth is watering. It looks so tender.
It really is and it always turns out perfect
Nice video but I am wondering how come this is a Pork roast when you didn’t put the meat in the oven at all 🤔🤔
Good question, that I can not answer, I did not invent English :-)
@@AllTastesGerman it's a pot roast 😁
Looks delicious. One of my favorites. Vielen Dank!
By the way, was this a tenderloin or a loin?
Thank you! That was loin, thanks for pointing that out. I think I said tenderloin in the recipe. Need to fix that! I will make Marillenknödel on the weekend. I love the Austrian Mehlspeisen...
@@AllTastesGerman Thank you for the quick and kind reply. I like to use loin for a roast like this one, perhaps also with some slits with garlic inside. I also like to use the lean center part of a loin for Schnitzel, and the fattier outer parts for Gulasch. Hope you might make a video of your Marillenknödel, which are one of my favorites!
Very Nice video 👍👍👍👌👌👌❤
Thank you! Cheers!
