Level 100 suit is a let down , no hitman wears skinny jeans , should have been the Hokkaido ninja suit . Really hoping the update next month fixes a lot of the bugs , I’m level 77 and just cba to continue.
Also, you forgot to mention the unlockable workbenches! Especially the one that gives you free remote bomb every run. Or even better - you can do a video about safehouse and all useful items you can find there
The frog from whittleton creek also consistently works to get the natural poison challenge and the targets often have their drink or food in the party area and the muffin man upstairs is super easy to knock out and tuck away in the closet so you can poison legally.
I always choose Whittleton Creek as my showdown map, as it usually doesn't take more than 3 minutes for me to complete (poison and/or sniper works best here).
The Natural Selection challenge is also possible in the Mendoza map: I used the flower to craft the lethal poison and then served it to the leader disguised as a waiter (using the Alt+F4 technique).
Hey guys. If you wanna cheese "top dog" At the final showdown. Once the leader is eliminated, exit the mission however you like, and as soon it appears "campaign completed at the bottom left, immediately exit. Alt-F4 or close app on console. It count as a campaign complete but since you close the game while technically still on the map, it resets the entire thing. It works cause I got the top dog challenge done.
I can confirm with the time we have had all challenges are obtainable, I myself and a few others got all the challenges completed within the first week or two, although some are very buggy and don't always pop when they should you can definitely 100% freelancer
Ive recently watched your Hokkaido video and my method to take down every target in the restaurant i had so far was to wait for them behind that sushi bar from the story mission and eventually they should come by and want some delicious sushi to die for
I completed the "Sometimes Maybe Good..." challenge using ALT+F4. I.e. during 47's death animation on a showdown, I ALT+F4'd and it counted towards the challenge. Also, if you know you're going to play Hardcore, then you can do the "Cold Feet" challenge first. Hardcore mode takes away all your merces, so if you grind the "Cold Feet" challenge first (start a mission and immediately leave; repeat 20 times), then you can lose your merces for a purpose and not get too pssed off about it. And I recommend that you only do "Cold Feet" if you're a 100% completionist sicko like me.
By this point the ALT F4 thing is gone but I discovered on consoles or at least the ps5 that if you close the game and launch it again then it doesn’t count as a fail,if this is already known knowledge then I’m sorry
Mendoza is my favorite showdown area. I got down the side path the enter into the merc facility, kill all 3 guards there ( i love arms dealer contracts), take a disguise, find the target, go back to the top of the car park, pull out the ole sniper, take my shot, walk 10 yards and leave.
I have had the same experience and no you are not wrong, the lvl 100 grind mixed with flaws has been the least fun I have had in the Hitman Franchise and I started with the original game which was plagued with launch errors.
5:49 for the natural selection challenge you can use other methods as well: frogs on Haven Island DO work! Also the emetic plant tranformed to leathal poison with the chemical kit in Mendoza (grape field shed) works too! That's how I got it just a few weeks ago.
Fair review. I’m only level 14 on freelancer. Natural/crafted poisons kill - I presumed would be achieved by making poisons at home base. Lab, shed or fishing. I just assumed in the fish you could cut out the poison gland in the kitchen like in Hokkaido. There is a marker to place fish in kitchen & the fish are the same 🤔😂 just my own logic but could be wrong. Can’t seem to catch any fish yet for me 😂 I doubt I will ever reach level 100 but reckon 47 would be happy crafting a range of stuff at home & shed in his spare time 🤣 presume you can also craft at least 1 type of explosive but again could be wrong and it’s the devs oversight or future update in the making. I like explosives to take on missions 🤣 spoiler no silent assassin 😂 I’ve played hitman since 2016. Didn’t start playing 3 till last year. Took a break from hitman because I know it is always a go to game. It’s been fun playing all 3 games from scratch. Freelancer mode suits players like me who are mostly casual players. I leaned towards playing contracts after game completions so freelancer has been good in my view. Hitman games you always feel burned out, why I always leaned heavy on playing contracts in the past because it is as casual as you get for hitman. Very likely I will go back to playing contracts again but freelancer does fill in the blank inbetween
Colorado is an awesome map. Love every minute and have had a lot of success. Also great for the burning man challenge. Just get the scarecrow up to the tower with a sniper and can use the wicker man and burn everything. NY is excellent especially when you get the interview disquise. Whittleton creek another awesome showdown. The poison frog is great for many challenges.
I'm a hokkaido fan and honestly, that place is my go to for showdowns (unless there's berlin or newyork) since it's probably the place I feel comfortable most.

Unpopular opinion: Isle of Sgail is actually not a bad map at all (easily tier 2 or even t1 map)! I completed countless showdowns on it! From the moment you get the elite guard disguise (which is pretty easy!) you can basically go anywhere on the map with very few enforcers.
If someone really wants a completed tic on this challenge 12:55 Then do it in combination with a prestige reset assuming u wanna do that ofc. U gonna lose everything anyway so just speedrun your way to the first showdown by failing the missing before the showdown just to get to the showdown faster. The showdown gonna be alerted but why do u care u gonna purposly fail it anyway. Bullshit challenge but if u really want that tic then do that 10 times and then try forget about the whole thing. The different ways to depart from your house be it from the boat, garage, helicopter or basement i think is really underutilized when it could have been used to get a better chans of starting a mission in a prefered spawn. It would not be guaranteed ofc but lets say u take of in the heli and u heading for Isle of sqail it would give u an increased chans of starting on the landing pad at the top of the tower or on the big crane at the back of Paris near the Helicopter exit. If u used the boat u could have a better chans of starting near 1 of the many boat exits on the maps that have those. If u used the car/bike it would be for the default campaign start and ofc if u used the default basement depart all spawn points would have the same chans. It would never be guaranteed but this way u have a better chans of starting at a prefered spot becouse when was the last time anyone ran all the way outside and up to the helicopter for no other reson then they wanted to se the helicopter animation?
10000% agree with the Sometimes good, sometimes shit commentary, I have been doing the other challenges and then you look at these ones like, I'm ready to quit with this, million Mercs and everything in the game already in my collection so I open crap chests or even totally empty ones during the game, can't buy from the vendor if I own the item in their inventory just means I can't change up gameplay nearly as much, further limiting replay potential. WHY NOT have the vendor in the base ship your order that you pay for weapons, ammo, different suits?? PLEASE!!!

I've never tried it, but I wonder if you can get Natural Selection by crafting a poison in Dartmoor. Idk if all the items needed for that are available in the Freelancer version.
I think that the silenced SMG from Dubai is extremely useful for the eliminate guards---smg payout objective and it's always available in Dubai from guards. If you lost it from misplacing it or failing by being downed, you can always return later to Dubai and get another one. I don't risk the Dax X2 Covert or its legendary variant, or the other silenced SMGs as it's very expensive replace the others. I think also IO should introduce a level where you have to eliminate targets at 47s house if you fail a hardcore showdown at 25% chance at the earlier levels and near 80% if you somehow fail the final hardcore showdown if the targets escape or something.

Dax X2 Covert Special, Slapdash SMG, and Scrap SMG are all the same, and like you argue, they are better than other SMGs because they can be concealed on you. The only difference between the Slapdash and Scrap SMG are the colors of the silencers with Scrap being yellow, Slapdash being blue, the Dax X2 Cov Special doesn't rlly have color to it tbh

The natural poison os actualy funny that you have two ways of doing that, one is fishing for some time on the safehouse till you get a fish and with the fish you get a knife or a scalpel and turn the fish into poison, with the shed and a mushroom it also works
6:18 frogs work, just on Haven Island. I used one by communication tower, very easy to get, no disguise needed. P.S. : Your final thoughts nailed it- for all the fun freelancer offers, grinding aspect is simply too much in the long run. So it's best to play it at a slower pace, otherwise the burn out is real 💀
I really only play Hitman 3 now for featured contracts, elusive targets (even though I have every location suit unlock) and leveling up more my account level in freelancer. I gotta say with 1000+hrs into the game, it is getting really stale now and have exponentially lost interest in playing for a while now.
New York EASILY belongs in tier 1!!! Perfect for showdowns if you know the map! Miami and NY should be switched since Miami is absolutely NOT optimal for showdowns (too big, no quick way to get the best disguise etc)

Honestly hokkaido is great for both showdown and regular. You just need to shoot suspect with kalemr and pick up phone with agenda your leader is put it in morgue or sleeping quarters and thets it. I get it you arr not fan of hokkaido but play it a little bit more and you'll love it.
I believe you think about comic book character Dylan Dog. He drives Beetle, it's his signature car. Btw, Im still trying to complete hardcore campaign, it's a pure torture, failed two times on last showdown, not giving up though 🙂
For the natural selection challenge the poison you can make in the freelancer shed may count towards the crafted poison. Im not sure this is just a theory at the moment. If it works ill edit my comment
It counts even as escaping, when you shoot your targets with a tranquilizer (i hope i wrote that rigt because im a german, and my english is not that bad but also not perfect, have fun playing hitman guys)
I completed Natural Selection with the lethal frog in Whittleton Creek. As far as I'm aware, the only maps that work are Whittleton Creek, Haven Island and Santa Fortuna. Ambrose Island does not work.
i do agree with you freelancer around level 60ish does loose its momentum as its just the same thing over and over. for what freelancer is it can be very fun but its quite easy to burn out after just a few hours. I do hope ioi brings more new game modes instead of just releasing old elusive targets but knowing on how they are working on the 007 game and the rpg game to i highly doubt they would do anything that major.
In my opinion freelancer should have an easy mode in wich you don't lose things becouse i just started playing and im really bad and i am always worried about loosing money and i never bring guns to not lose them
By treating it as a job (for some reason) you definitely ruined it for yourself. It was never supposed to be a grind. ALT + F4ing definitely cemented that mentality way too much for you
You know, if people are really pushing towards alt + f4'ing the game instead of doing the challenges properly, that's pretty indicative of them being boring challenges.
Congratulations, the grind is real. I myself and a group of friends grinded the hell out of freelancer for the first week or two and got 100% so I know the grind first hand
i really hate how they select random people as targets in this mode. i would rather they spawn an npc near an accident kill opportunity or ledge or crate for a managable to kill target instead of choose some random civillian who could literally be in front of the entire population of Vatican City.
You don't really need to go out of your way for the majority of these since you can just get them while grinding the big-ticket ones like 500 leaders (which is, in fact, more than 100 campaigns). Like you just bring wire when they've got a necklace, poison if they're eating/drinking, etc. I had them all done by my 18th campaign. The only awful ones are Strelok and Burning Man along with the ones for failing missions Also: the Ornamental Sniper Rifle is superior to the Ghost, it only needs 1 slot compared to 2
Is it just me, or are the guards part of a hive mind in freelancer? Once in chingong, I shot a bunch of guards for an objective in the ICA facility and snuck up the shaft and out the shortcut and somehow I was compromised on the eyes of the street guards outside. Like what?

I honestly think that Colorado is a good map for Freelancer. All disguises are allowed to have weapon, and one of them - even have sniper rifle. What map I really hate - is Mendoza. I always get that one target that just stands on the ladder chatting with 2 other guys, no moving at all. I also hate Hokkaido because of stupid doors
I was doing Long Range Sniper/Silent Assassin Suit Only at the same time for every map and I mean EVERY map, shame most of these runs will probably never see the light of the day...
I've handled marekesh fine mumbai I done but it can be difficult with how public open area it is and the guards. Santa Fortuna also difficult with guards. Bangkok I had issues with its been an alerted territory when I have gotten it
I reached level 100 two days ago and i found the mode easy to do Mumbai i actually found really easy map to play on but in general Freelancer has way too many negatives for me. Negatives: IOI themselves have been ignoring bugs since this mode came out the ballers still don't kill sometimes with headshots from behind in one shot, have had the Leviathan sniper shooting straight through my targets without hitting them the hit boxes are so messed up, NPC's seeing through walls and floors etc...In general full of bugs and boring to play...The level 90's xp rate is ridic 😂 😂😂😂
I'm proud user of the rainbow shed for very gay reasons. But serious, I'm glad the practical unlocks like weapons and spots to create poisons and explosives are unlocked quite early. Also, Hardcore is messed because the Timed objectives tend to get bugged and failed even if you complete them and the missions and that happened last night to me. It's crap.

I always go for New York because the spawn is usually in the basement and I can easily get to the bank for some extra merces
New York has to be the best. You can basically get access to almost the entire map by using the Job Applicant's clothes with nobody noticing.
About "Poetic Justice". You can also get it if you poison any leader while they are fooding our drinking and have those tells.

Miami and NY should be switched since Miami is absolutely NOT optimal for showdowns (too big, no quick way to get the best disguise etc)

Honestly hokkaido is great for both showdown and regular. You just need to shoot suspect with kalemr and pick up phone with agenda your leader is put it in morgue or sleeping quarters and thets it. I get it you arr not fan of hokkaido but play it a little bit more and you'll love it.
I believe you think about comic book character Dylan Dog. He drives Beetle, it's his signature car. Btw, Im still trying to complete hardcore campaign, it's a pure torture, failed two times on last showdown, not giving up though 🙂
For the natural selection challenge the poison you can make in the freelancer shed may count towards the crafted poison. Im not sure this is just a theory at the moment. If it works ill edit my comment

my most hated maps are colorado, island of sgail and marrakesh... my favorites are new york, hokkaido , miami and haven island
Frog is the only thing that worked for me. Santa Fortuna and Ambrose Island.
Dubai sucks for showdowns. If they all decide to spawn in the crowd you're screwed.

It counts even as escaping, when you shoot your targets with a tranquilizer (i hope i wrote that rigt because im a german, and my english is not that bad but also not perfect, have fun playing hitman guys)
I completed Natural Selection with the lethal frog in Whittleton Creek. As far as I'm aware, the only maps that work are Whittleton Creek, Haven Island and Santa Fortuna. Ambrose Island does not work.
Marakesh is hands down the best map for showdowns. Can just observe and snipe from the rooftops

i do agree with you freelancer around level 60ish does loose its momentum as its just the same thing over and over. for what freelancer is it can be very fun but its quite easy to burn out after just a few hours. I do hope ioi brings more new game modes instead of just releasing old elusive targets but knowing on how they are working on the 007 game and the rpg game to i highly doubt they would do anything that major.

In my opinion freelancer should have an easy mode in wich you don't lose things becouse i just started playing and im really bad and i am always worried about loosing money and i never bring guns to not lose them
By treating it as a job (for some reason) you definitely ruined it for yourself. It was never supposed to be a grind. ALT + F4ing definitely cemented that mentality way too much for you

You know, if people are really pushing towards alt + f4'ing the game instead of doing the challenges properly, that's pretty indicative of them being boring challenges.

Congratulations, the grind is real. I myself and a group of friends grinded the hell out of freelancer for the first week or two and got 100% so I know the grind first hand
i really hate how they select random people as targets in this mode. i would rather they spawn an npc near an accident kill opportunity or ledge or crate for a managable to kill target instead of choose some random civillian who could literally be in front of the entire population of Vatican City.

You don't really need to go out of your way for the majority of these since you can just get them while grinding the big-ticket ones like 500 leaders (which is, in fact, more than 100 campaigns). Like you just bring wire when they've got a necklace, poison if they're eating/drinking, etc. I had them all done by my 18th campaign. The only awful ones are Strelok and Burning Man along with the ones for failing missions
Also: the Ornamental Sniper Rifle is superior to the Ghost, it only needs 1 slot compared to 2
the alt+f4 thing is patched so you have to grind to get it

Once in chingong, I shot a bunch of guards for an objective in the ICA facility and snuck up the shaft and out the shortcut and somehow I was compromised on the eyes of the street guards outside. Like what?
I completed those challenge (sometines maybe good... And cold feet ) in a day . Losing 2.1m merces made me think about my choices.
But i got that money back. you can spam the inventory button when you see the text campaign completed bonus to get like 300k in 1 go.

I agree 100% with your review, I also quit at lv 60 when it became boring. I now only play Hitman to try for futured contracts. However, I disagree on Haven, played many showdowns there and had a lot of fun. Here is an example:

I honestly think that Colorado is a good map for Freelancer. All disguises are allowed to have weapon, and one of them - even have sniper rifle.
What map I really hate - is Mendoza. I always get that one target that just stands on the ladder chatting with 2 other guys, no moving at all.
I also hate Hokkaido because of stupid doors

I was doing Long Range Sniper/Silent Assassin Suit Only at the same time for every map and I mean EVERY map, shame most of these runs will probably never see the light of the day...

Colorado isn’t that bad in freelancer
I've handled marekesh fine mumbai I done but it can be difficult with how public open area it is and the guards. Santa Fortuna also difficult with guards. Bangkok I had issues with its been an alerted territory when I have gotten it
I reached level 100 two days ago and i found the mode easy to do Mumbai i actually found really easy map to play on but in general Freelancer has way too many negatives for me.
Negatives: IOI themselves have been ignoring bugs since this mode came out the ballers still don't kill sometimes with headshots from behind in one shot, have had the Leviathan sniper shooting straight through my targets without hitting them the hit boxes are so messed up, NPC's seeing through walls and floors etc...In general full of bugs and boring to play...The level 90's xp rate is ridic 😂 😂😂😂

I'm proud user of the rainbow shed for very gay reasons. But serious, I'm glad the practical unlocks like weapons and spots to create poisons and explosives are unlocked quite early. Also, Hardcore is messed because the Timed objectives tend to get bugged and failed even if you complete them and the missions and that happened last night to me. It's crap.
