- Media legend Pat Mitchell is the author of a new book, “Becoming a Dangerous Woman: Embracing Risk to Change the World.” In it, she shares her life story, rising from her grandparents’ small cotton farm with no electricity to become the first woman president of PBS, CNN Productions and the Paley Center for Media. Mitchell includes in her book the voices of other “dangerous” women: Stacey Abrams, Ai-jen Poo, Ava DuVernay, Mary Robinson, Abigail Disney, Christine Schuler Deschryver, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Zoya, Monique Wilson, Laura Flanders, Jacqueline Novogratz, Sandi Toksvig, Ruth Ann Harnisch and Meagan Fallone. Pat Mitchell speaks with us from Atlanta, Georgia. “Our single most dangerous act, actually, is preparing each other, supporting each other, showing up for each other, sponsoring, mentoring, championing each other,” Mitchell says. “We are living in dangerous times, and such times require of us to become more dangerous to meet those challenges.”

So grateful for Pat Mitchell and the many other women trailblazers in their 60s & 70s that have come forward to tell the truth no matter how disturbing it is to tell or to hear. I also am a survivor. Peace Love and Joy to every woman every where~!

Vickie Reedy, I find RT often is more accurate than mainstream news. I subscribe to many alternative news channels from Secular Talk to Jimmy Dore to the Rational National to French news to Turkish news to aljezeera and so on. I used to be a liberal and bought what the democrats served up but after I realized that the corporate democrats do not serve us I started to branch out.
I don’t believe everything on RT but Ed Shultz, Chris Hedges and Rick Sanchez went over there when they could no longer do progressive pieces with mainstream news. In general I like Amy and what she does. I am very critical, however, of Obama and people like Oprah.
I don’t believe the Russian hype and I do not think that Russia is the enemy. Rather we are, hands down, the most imperialist nation in the world.

“Courageous” is the positive word I prefer (rather than “dangerous” ) to call call women like Pat and Amy and many other conscious women. Women and men who face the challenges directly and strive to do the greatest good for the greatest number, sometimes are critically challenged in their very lives and must respond as a “danger” to what or whomever is a threat to life. We see how harmful habits are causing health issues besides the devastating environmental manipulation (even the weather) and destruction of essential resources like forests and food sources. We see how the toxic aerial praying programs are extinguishing pollinating insect populations and are poisoning all who breathe with nano particles of aluminum. This pollution is also patented dispersal of chemical concoctions also containing such chemicals as barium, strontium, lead, sulfates. I’ve read and heard from multiple sources that some of the coal fly ash constituents and radioactive particles have also been analyzed in their soils and water. I would like to know how this could be investigated. That would take skill and courage by men or women.

How many little girls are harassed and scared, but don't speak up. If you do, you'll be forbidden from that place or activity, to keep you safe. The more this happens, the smaller your world becomes.

Judy Vaughn If said creator hasn’t done so now, or in the past, why would they do so now? If anything, mankind brought it on themselves. Were there a creator, we wouldn’t get to this point in the first place. The onus (responsibility) is on mankind, we can’t run the world into the ground and hope “the one who created it” would save us. That’d be like a kid breaking their Xbox with a bat and the parents go “oh Johnny, not again! All right, back to the store we go”
