Some positive feedback from a guy that watches a lot of off-road creators.. I watch 4wd videos for 1 of 2 reasons.. either to research a place I want to go to.. or just for enjoyment. The thing I love about the way you make videos is how well you explain where you are and where you’re going, especially showing maps! That’s exactly what I want to see.. some other creators keep track names and campsite names out of their videos and it drives me nuts!! Keep up the good work mate, hope to see you up there one day 🍺
Thanks Scott, I'm very much the same mate. I know certain places are sometimes best kept secret, but most people in this audience are good respectable bunch so I don't mind sharing the details. Glad you like it mate and thanks for watching, Cheers for the feedback, Appreciate it 🍺🍺🍻
Stay strong and just keep doing what you do. You’ve got a ton of fans who love watching your adventures. None of us can get out on the tracks as much as we’d like, and living it through your trips is the next best thing! 👍
Thanks mate, defiantly will do. Really appreciate that feedback mate and glad the vids bring it to life. The aim is to keep it raw so the audience experience the journey to an extent. 👍👍

Great vid mate, you seriously are one of my favourite 4wd content creator on youtube. Watching your stuff also inspired me a bit to set the goal and finally get my own 4x4 to tour in (2017 paj). Being more of a hiking background, the most of I've ever done is driving our 75 series work horse around the farm ... so I'm still quite a novice. But your content is a big inspiration to learn more and get out there. Also trolls will be trolls .. I get plenty on my channel as well. Might have to come out on one one day mate would make a good collaborations.
@@Bush-Tv Yeah I could see myself slowly transitioning to more vehicle based camping as things go on. Hard to keep with the heavy hiking as you get older. Heaps of great tips in your videos.I’ve found that time spent up the bush helps clear your mind/ body of stress and recharge your batteries. My old ARB awning has held up well over the years. If camping a few days in one spot,I prefer to set up a tarp between two trees.I purchased the same block splitter as yours recently and its a beast.Cheers,Rob.
Thanks mate, Love the old tarp set up, couldn't go wrong with that. Yeah the big splitter is awesome for redgum as well. Thanks for watching mate, Cheers.

@@Bush-Tv Awnings are great for the beach or of you're on the move, one night camps etc. Quick setup I mainly like to base camp for a couple of nights & like to have car separate from my camp set up so I can use it to get firewood & hitting the tracks
Hi Mr Bush TV Really really appreciate the vids. Nice content, informative and most importantly RELAXING. On the topics of awnings, been running a Darche 270-degree awning, nil problems so far. But you are right, wouldn't take too much effort to break, bend or warp the frame of most of the awnings on the market. Thanks Mark, Yeah I've herd good story's about the fox wing. I was going to get one years ago so it defiantly one that I would still look at. Thanks for watching mate and cheers for the feedback 👍
The primary reason the tracks exist is for access for emergency response - specifically bushfires. They need to be accessible by firefighters and equipment as safely and quickly as possible. Those remote tracks are on a 5-10 year maintenance cycle.
Great vid bud ! Always try to bring some wood along if possible just in case . Never was a fan of the crazy tracks, but did like to push it at times and try my hand at some challenging stuff , but now days i just like to tour, and leave the crazy stuff to the young ones now ha ha ha . I don't and can't get out much these days , but i do enjoy it just as much, just have to pick my time . Upper Jamieson Hut is a stunner mate, and i am sat here in the arm chair waiting for that episode . Thanks for your content mate, as it helps a bloke that can't get out like he use to, but misses it terribly ! 🤠👌
Mate I real feel for you there. I'm dredging the day I cant get out there, Jameson Hut is my favorite 100% Mate I glad you enjoy all the vids. Thanks for watching mate. BT.
I used to run an Ocam 2.5 x 2.5 awning and found it was flimsy, now run a 23 Zero 270 Falcon and haven't looked back, much better quality and it comes down to you get what you pay for. Love you channel, love the content as it's fairly local to me and I love how you have a pretty basic setup to do it with, you keep it real and that's what keeps me watching your channel mate, cheers and would love to bump into you out at a campsite one day and share a frothy or two 🍻
Yeah same for me mate, the Ocam one is my second 3 metre one I've had. The 1st awning lasted 12 years. This one, well we will see. I'm a bit reluctant to spend the big bucks just in case I rip the thing off the vehicle 😅 Glad you enjoy all the content mate, I love the simple set-up as well 👍 Thanks for watching mate and appreciate the feedback 👍
Nice work Bush. SOB Track looks a lotta fun ..... be a challenge in the wet slop. My awning is a pre-strung drop sheet with a couple of old tent poles ......... too scared if i buy one it will snagged off on a tree branch or just get damaged over time like most of them seem to do - waste of money. Look fwd to next Episode! 🤠
That was me years ago, Use to use a tarp off the roof rack to a tree or the other vehicle. properly the second trip the awning done wind almost destroyed it at 4am haha. I had a high lift jack rip off the roof rack. Nothing wrong with the good old way mate, cant go wrong.
@@Bush-Tv Yup only problem is you end up with ropes & tie-offs going everywhere ...... bit tricky at night after a few froffs ..... nearly neck myself every time lol! 😂
I take my own wood where I know there's going to be none at campsites otherwise chainsaw is my best friend around Licola and Dargo area. I have an Ironman 2.5 x 3 metre awning, it's pretty sturdy. I use an awning extension to get more room under there and it's good enough for my needs.
Really liked this video as it's a route I've looked into but wasn't sure the state of the tracks, which I know can change from one day to the next but it's good to see actual footage. I normally go out alone too. I also like old school tracks. My vehicle is only 18 months old but I don't worry about getting pinstriped as I bought it for getting out into nature. Tracks that look like they haven't been driven in a long time are great to drive IMO. The challenges they can bring is what I love...without the traffic. I take maybe 6 pieces of untreated 4x4 inch pine cut into 12 inch long pieces, stacks really well and burns easily. I don't always use it but it's handy if I can't find any dry wood in the bush. I mostly like to be alone in the bush and love to Macgyver my way through problems. Any thoughts on what "The Great Forest National Park" will mean for us all if it goes ahead?
Thanks mate, You sound a lot like myself in the comments. Re the National Park issue, Id say its only the beginning and they most likely have a binger plan than they are saying, So its defiantly not a good thing and will most likely result in a lot of changes that we wont agree on. Thanks for watching and Cheers for the comment mate.
Gday mate Another great vid. That’s my kind of tracks too. Also I’ve just upgraded too the Bushwackka 270 on folding brackets I made Was absolutely brilliant over the last three weeks touring the flinders Oodnadatta, across the Simpson to Charleville and back to Bairnsdale. I’m ready for another VHC trip real soon. May just go find that Son of a Bitch Tk. Keep up the great work Champ. Hope to see you out there again
Thanks mate, that trip you done sounds awesome, I've been really keen t9bdo Oodnadatta.let me know of you have Facebook mate, keen to find out a bit more on that 👍
Ripper video, enjoyed your talk section at the end as well . I use a 2.5x2.5 kings awning , cheapo in construction, but i have put a mid rail support to brace it a bit better for when it gets windy , and i put tiedowns to it. seems to work well
Always take about 6 bits of wood just in case. Pretty much always bring 6 bits back also. Would love to see some more footage of the tougher sections of tracks you do. I know you did mention you just want to get through it rather than film but you go to some good spots would be great to see the tough bits.
Defiantly mate, doesn't hurt to have that back up, I've done it as well when I'm solo filming especially in none daylight savings time a takes a lot of time. Most of the track aren't that bad and if there's a challenging part I make the effort for sure. Thanks for watching cheers for the feedback mate 👍
I’m running the batwing 270 and it’s garbage when windy. I’ve broken 2 of the swivel mounts from the wind/ light breeze. I have a whole new appreciation of these video’s after trying to make one on a hunting/ camping trip. I’ll reach out and get a stubby holder soon in appreciation of the time you put in
I had the same thing happen with the XTM. It flipped on set up. Yeah videos aren't as easy to do as most think mate 👍 Glad you enjoyed it mate and big thanks for the feedback 👍
I bring a good bit of wood from home..Box,bulloak and redgum. Cut abit up there to. Running 2x darche 2.5s with kings walls and awning tent occasionally. Had no issues accept for the fragile kings velcro wall loops.
I enjoy all of the trips you do specifically the commentary it puts you there with you. And the camping set ups are good. A good fire base and plenty of wood. I take a stainless steel fire pit it’s on legs with a lid, l usually get a good ash base then fill with brickettes then put the lid on and cook, the hood also keeps fire going in heavy rain. Do you need a permit to cut wood in the bush.
Awesome, thanks mate, in Vic its Ok (I hope) but just using it for camping and not to take out. NSW on the other hand is a different story. Some part we cant even have a chain saw in the vehicle. Thanks for watching Neil really glad you enjoy it all mate, Cheers
Hey mate, I recall you saying it or at least seeing it somewhere on one of your videos but I can't find it - what size tires you running on the 80s? Cheers (and keep up the awesome vids).
I got caught out as I pulled the 270 out to dry it off. Just a small gust of wind is all it took. I was just about to peg it but was to late. Thanks for the feedback mate 👍
What a great trip. Absolutely awesome and love your work. I run a 2x2.5m pull out awning that the velcro straps are broken so its an absolute pain to set up and pack up which is why i rarely use it, id love a bushwakka 270. Will grab me some merch so you can keep on rollin'. Have a good one
Thanks heaps mate, it all helps 👍 Wouldn't mind one of thought solid case awnings but I've be to afraid to damage it on the tracks. If I was more of a base camper I'd get a real good one 👍 Thanks for watching mate 👍 Appreciate your feedback 👍
Looks like a good run I'll add it to my list, as for the awning I also run the XTM 270, had it up on the weekend up on Mt Useful at about 1250 meters in high wind done well nothing broken. Keep up the content good stuff.
Thanks mate 👍 the only issue I had with that awning was a gust of wind took it over the roof as soon as I pulled it out, not even time to catch it. I fixed it but do still have the OCAM one looking at me waiting to get put on haha. Thanks for the feedback mate appreciate it 👍
Well done mate enjoy watching your videos..love the slow motion throws keep em in there mate...how do you prepare for a trip..food water fuel etc mayb do a quick video on that one day see what others think .. if you have time mate...love your work
Great vid again. I always take a bag of wood for the 1st night then collect on way. Got an old Tiger 2 awning going to upgrade to 270 that has zip on walls. Also Drifta Hexa tarps look pretty good. Are all the tracks you're travelling at moment open during off season ? Hard to get out not knowing easy ways to go and not back track when you find a closed gate. Great work.
Old Tigerz11 mate, Great for the day, and they lasted a long time, I still got a winch sitting here. pretty sure those tracks are open except the Knobs Tk mate. Glad you enjoyed mate cheers for watching. BT
Cheers mate, give her my thanks as well 👍 I know the feeling mate, I've got a list longer than my arm at the moment 👍 I've had some sound issues with one camera but hopefully got it sorted, just made the editing a lot more time consuming. Glad you both enjoyed it mate 👍 Thanks for your support 👍
I feel your pain. Had a darche pull out. Complete rubbish as just fell apart. I looked at a few and without going crazy on $$$ decided on the Bushwakka 270. Have had now for about 3 years and so far nothing broken.
Where do I know your face from? Ever spent any time in the Army? Great video. I will be heading up that way early in the season when everything opens up again.
@Bush-Tv sorry, you just look really familiar. Your cruiser am FZ? I have the 105 version. So capable, hence why these videos are so good, if you can get through so can I, same car basically.
@robertparsons3143 ahh, all good mate.I might just have one of those heads that look familiar, haha. Yeah FZJ80 and Petrol Gas. The Gas will be coming off eventually due to problems. Glad the video's have been a help mate.
@Bush-Tv fair enough. I redid all the gas on mine recently and it now runs perfect. Heaps of power. I use the gas to get to and from the bush, petrol when in the bush. All the best mate. If I see you out there I'll stop and say G'day
The last time I did son of a bitch track I came home with some pinstripes, it was tight in some sections and son of a bitch was exactly what I said every time I heard the scrub down the side of the car 😂
G'day Russell, I use Rooftop and Hema. Its properly for the better that we use a cheep awning, as Its not hard to destroy it up there. Cheers for the comment mate.
Haha I'm the same with the XTM 😅 I've got an Ocam 270 still in the box that I have to fit, Just noe sure how some of those awnings will hold up in the snow
old Son of a bitch track. Planned a whole trip but ended up going a little arely and tracks were closed. Had to go down son of a bitch track and get down Billy goats bluff at night on that same day.
I was in Dargo tonight, mate I was keen as curry to do Billy Goats at night. Son of a bitch is good, I really enjoyed that track. Cheers for watching mate 👍

Great content as usual mate, keep it up, i like to see the old tracks like you just drove as they add a bit more adventure to the trip
Cheers mate 👍
Yeah can't beat the old school tracks.
It's sort of the way if should be 👌
Great episode mate…I heard on the grapevine those tracks will have a dozer along them next summer…it’s been nearly 10 years since the last touch up.
Was hoping that wouldn't happen in there.
Might have to get back in there before that happens
The primary reason the tracks exist is for access for emergency response - specifically bushfires.
They need to be accessible by firefighters and equipment as safely and quickly as possible.
Those remote tracks are on a 5-10 year maintenance cycle.
@PaulBrookerJOURNi yeah I know that,
Pretty remote in there as well,
Wouldn't want to in their position in a burn over out there
Great vid bud !
BT.
Another good one, thank you so much for your time. Look after yourself and show us more.❤
Thanks for watching chrissoulakatsaros, really happy you enjoy all the videos
You do a ripping job. Just found your channel and great source of information and relaxing entertainment. Keep them coming
Cheers mate, Welcome to the Bush Tv 👍
You're doing a good job mate keep it up love watching .
Glad you enjoy it mate. Thanks for watching cheers for the feedback mate 👍
Taking wood into the bush is like taking snow to Antarctica, nice Vid bro 😎 keep up the good work
Haha, I've only ever taken it once.
Thanks for watching mate 👍
I'm a bit reluctant to spend the big bucks just in case I rip the thing off the vehicle 😅
Glad you enjoy all the content mate,
I love the simple set-up as well 👍
Thanks for watching mate and appreciate the feedback 👍
@@misdamagoo213 Haha especially in the wind
Good work Bushy, my cuppa tea is a a Lipton black tea. 😂😂🤪👍
Ahh nice one mate, glad you enjoyed and cheers for watching
I take my own wood where I know there's going to be none at campsites otherwise chainsaw is my best friend around Licola and Dargo area. I have an Ironman 2.5 x 3 metre awning, it's pretty sturdy. I use an awning extension to get more room under there and it's good enough for my needs.
Sounds good mate, nice easy set up 👍👍
Nice one mate. Keep 'em coming. Cheers!
Good one mate
Thank you mate 👍
Ripppa one again mate.. love the old school pin stripe tracks 👍
Thanks mate, Yeah I love a challenge as well, wouldn't mind doing it now with this weather 😀
Love your style and your content, go the bush tv 😊
Cheers mate, Appreciate you watching
Using kings awning 2.5x2.5 on dual cab navara have cained ours still going strong.great videos
Cheers mate, They seem the bang for the buck those,
@Bush-Tv yeah been good so far have got the tent attached as well very affordable
@Jamie-zt2gz ah that's good mate, as long as it's doing the job that's all that matters 👍
Gday mate
Another great vid.
I use a 2.5x2.5 kings awning , cheapo in construction,
but i have put a mid rail support to brace it a bit better for when it gets windy , and i put tiedowns to it. seems to work well
Thanks mate, Yeah I use to do the same thing with the brace in the middle, Seemed to work a treat. Glad you enjoyed mate, cheers for the feed back 🍺🍻
Always take about 6 bits of wood just in case.
Yeah videos aren't as easy to do as most think mate 👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate and big thanks for the feedback 👍
I bring a good bit of wood from home..Box,bulloak and redgum. Cut abit up there to. Running 2x darche 2.5s with kings walls and awning tent occasionally. Had no issues accept for the fragile kings velcro wall loops.
Sounds like a good set up mate.
Love the redgum, burns nice and hot and puts out a good coal base 👍👌👍
Great content mate. Need to get a temperature gauge for the weather in the spots you stay be interesting how cold it gets.
Stay safe.
Thanks mate, I do have one, but I left it at home on that trip.
I need to keep one in the vehicle.
Cheers for the comment mate 👍
Cheers mate 👍 running 33's
I'm running a 2.5x2.5 ARB awning bushy.
Good quality, but flimsy. Always make sure the two of us set it up and pack away.
Thanks heaps mate, it all helps 👍
Wouldn't mind one of thought solid case awnings but I've be to afraid to damage it on the tracks.
If I was more of a base camper I'd get a real good one 👍
Thanks for watching mate 👍 Appreciate your feedback 👍
Looks like a good run I'll add it to my list, as for the awning I also run the XTM 270, had it up on the weekend up on Mt Useful at about 1250 meters in high wind done well nothing broken. Keep up the content good stuff.
Thanks mate 👍 the only issue I had with that awning was a gust of wind took it over the roof as soon as I pulled it out, not even time to catch it.
I fixed it but do still have the OCAM one looking at me waiting to get put on haha.
Thanks for the feedback mate appreciate it 👍
Well done mate enjoy watching your videos..love the slow motion throws keep em in there mate...how do you prepare for a trip..food water fuel etc mayb do a quick video on that one day see what others think
.. if you have time mate...love your work
Yeah thanks mate, I'll get around to doing that video one of these days 👍 cheers for the comment 👍
BT
@@Bush-Tv Hanging to head out again. Is Mt Useful accessible ?
@@jasonchitts377 I think it is mate, But best check that
Tip top mate, as always
Thanks mate, I've been Smashing out EP3 all day so hopefully drops this week as well. Then its maintenance time before the next trip
Awesome video mate the missus said the camera work is spot on, and sorry been missing a few have been away.
Cheers mate, give her my thanks as well 👍 I know the feeling mate, I've got a list longer than my arm at the moment 👍 I've had some sound issues with one camera but hopefully got it sorted, just made the editing a lot more time consuming.
Glad you both enjoyed it mate 👍
Thanks for your support 👍
Good vid. Don't worry about trolls mate.... keep smiling and have a bonza time - and they've got nothin'.
Do you run reduction gears?
Cheers, dd
100% mate, No I don't, But that's one Mod I really want. Glad you enjoy Dave, Cheers.
I feel your pain. Had a darche pull out. Complete rubbish as just fell apart. I looked at a few and without going crazy on $$$ decided on the Bushwakka 270. Have had now for about 3 years and so far nothing broken.
That's awesome mate, if the OCAM fails on me I reckon I'll go with a Bushwakka as well.
Thanks for the feedback mate 👍 Appreciate it 👍
Where do I know your face from? Ever spent any time in the Army? Great video. I will be heading up that way early in the season when everything opens up again.
G'day mate, no, not the army.
Glad you like it mate and thanks for watching 👍
If I see you out there I'll stop and say G'day
@@robertparsons3143 Yeah that's how I run it mate, Gas on the black top. Never know mate, Give us a wave and try Channel 40 if I'm solo
The last time I did son of a bitch track I came home with some pinstripes, it was tight in some sections and son of a bitch was exactly what I said every time I heard the scrub down the side of the car 😂
Haha tell about it, I still enjoy it tho.
Thanks for watching and cheers for the comment mate 👍
Only benefit to having so many graded is you can reach spots that used to take days but agree upgraded makes it all more real 😂
Yeah definitely mate, I still love the challenge but not to the point of destroying track or vehicles
What kind of navigation/maps do you use in the high country mate?
G'day mate, I use Rooftop map mainly 👌
Do you use vms or hema mapping
Awnings take a beating in the bush I’ve learnt that lights & awnings cheap is good coz you always replace them
G'day Russell, I use Rooftop and Hema. Its properly for the better that we use a cheep awning, as Its not hard to destroy it up there. Cheers for the comment mate.
love a challenge and prefer un maintained
Yeah same mate, I take the tracks as they come.
Using the kings 2x2.5 with extreme care lol, had it for almost 2 years all good so far
Haha I'm the same with the XTM 😅 I've got an Ocam 270 still in the box that I have to fit,
Just noe sure how some of those awnings will hold up in the snow
Hows the Ocam going?@@Bush-Tv
@@Gavs722 3x3 good, 270 still I'm.the box 🤣
This was def not winter…. That would be icy if filmed in the last month. Guessing it’s Feb/March
Filmed in May mate, hence the Knobs track was open. Stay tuned for EP3 then you will see how cold it got
You can't beat Kings awnings for the price if you only use then less frequent and be gentle
Another cheap brand is OCAM
I don't feel so bad if it gets destroyed haha.
Just get a new one.
Cheers for the feedback mate 👍
old Son of a bitch track.
Name and shame the person
Unfortunately I can't mate, people will work that out
@@Bush-Tv keep up the good work
@PaulBrookerJOURNi cheers mate,
I sort of hope they wouldn't do that
