I started my first tournaments in MA2 at the local courses here and I’m excited to have been able to benchmark myself in a more difficult division (for me) and have some goals to work on in the off season to move up the ranks next year. Flexibility and strength are both on my list as well 😄

I think your videos are helping me alot with my own disc golf journey and having just had my first two tournaments. I learned a lot in those tournies too but the main thing from my last one was I was throwing without miming my throw, training in muscle memory on the hit point. I wasn’t really thinking about my putt and missed some easy 10-15 footers. Part of that was I hadn’t gotten enough sleep that week.

So going forward I’m going to focus on getting enough rest, and sticking with a routine and thinking through the shot, feeling the hit point, calibrate my putt with maybe 3 simple things to focus on during the round.

@@mccsnackin Those are all great points and things I try to do as well. Good easy phrases to remind yourself.
Ive played a tournament on 0 hours of sleep. Not fun!

One thing you could experiment with for your putt is leaning forward a bit more. I that it forces me to commit and set up a more natural pendulum swing. It might not help but it may be a variable you haven’t considered

I’ll give it a go. At this point I just need to finish out the season and spend a lot of time in my garage trying stuff.
