Great review Shin. The price is reasonable, and they offer a nice selection of dishes. Loved your smile when you were eating the bread pudding & ice cream. It looked delicious. Keep on with the reviews, you do a terrific job. I enjoy watching.
I would 100% recommend the AYCE weekend brunch as a must try for Vegas buffet lovers. It's the perfect mix of value and quality. I appreciate you watching Kim! Thank you!
I’m sorry all the dishes weren’t five-star but I’m actually glad since you’re honest about how everything tastes. Tend to be wary of reviewers who judge everything “amazing and the best.” Thanks for your videos!
Hitting the Palms in January, great review of the buffet! Solid channel, love how much detail you go into regarding the food's flavor and texture. Instant sub!
Excellent review. I love how you show all the food options first. I always want to see what's available. I've never had soft buffet pancakes. I think waffles hold up better.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Pancakes, French toast and waffles at the buffet are sometimes the realest gambling in Vegas lmao. Thanks for watching!
When I went through all your initial critiques, you seemed to like just about everything you ate. I don't eat at buffets that much, but I tend to like only about half of the items that are provided. Many items were just under the heat lamp too long and dried out. Lately your critiques are balanced. You say what you like, and what you don't like, and you elaborate the reason why. You have become one of my favorite food critics. There are thousands of places to eat in Vegas. Being in Vegas only a few times a year, I depend on channels like yours to determine where I would like to try. Sure our opinions may differ, but it really helps to pare down the number of options available. If I tried everything, I would be having well over twenty meals per day.
When I started YouTubing, my normal eating out was more or less McDonald's, Chipotle, and Panda Express when I'm not cooking at home so everything I was eating for videos just tasted different and fantastic. But as I've been eating something new every week, I've definitely learned to discern more flavors and appreciate different nuances more. I still don't think I'm all that harsh of a food critic, because at the end of the day I'm a fat boy who loves eating lol. But I'm so very happy to hear that you gain value from my videos. That makes this work so much more satisfying to know that. I thank you for your support of me and the channel!
Thanks for featuring this Buffet Shin even though I already saw "Travel Ruby" show it on her channel it was good to get a second opinion about it,😋😋😋 you should try to come back to this place on a Tuesday night when it's slower the food quality may pick up a bit when there aren't as many people.😕😕😕 By the way this buffet and the Palms as a whole are owned by a native American tribe in California and the casinos in that state as well as the food especially at the buffets are way better than in corporate ran Las Vegas I should know I used to visit them frequently anyway glad you enjoyed the food Peace!!!😇😇😇😇
I watched Travel Ruby's video on it also! I had an off day. I've gone to the AYCE many times and the proteins have always been amazing. I'm still trying to figure out how I can get back to their lobster night with my day job lol. And yes! The Palms is Vegas' first native American owned resort I believe. In regards to the tribe's California properties, I went to UCR for school and visited San Manuel often back in the day and agree, they run some great properties. Thanks for watching!
Thanks shin if I go back to Vegas I would skip the brunch buffet at the palms the place looks messy and I saw lots or empty stations just some standard food I’ll pay more at a buffet that has a better looking buffet and not messy and see how fast fresh food is put up
It's all about timing when it comes to any buffet. I tend to try and film the line when it's a little slower as people are back at their tables eating food and I don't get in anyone's while while they're dining but conversely, it does mean the largest rush of people have gone through and the staff may not have has as much of a chance to tidy up and refill. It's a balance. I want to present a good video but I also don't want to get in anyone's way when they're physically there trying to eat. But if I go when the buffet i cleanest but a lot of people, the viewing experience isn't smooth with a lot of cuts as I wait for people to get their fill. I still recommend this place, especially with all you can drink mimosas included in that $33 price. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this review. Some dishes looked good but to many did not look good. The food area looked messy, maybe because it was busy. Still adding it to my Vegas list. Thanks and take care.
Yes! I love the AYCE buffet. A couple more misses this time around than I'm used to here, but I'm always happy when I leave. Thanks for watching Jerry!
Question: is there a time limit for people sitting at tables long after they are done eating? I have seen other videos where people are sitting at empty tables for a long time which is lost revenue for restaurants. Just curious how that works as I usually eat at full service restaurants vs buffets. The truffle potatoes look tasty. Thanks for the video.
I typically end up taking 2-3 hours per video at each restaurant and I've yet to be kicked out even when time limits are posted. However, I have seen recent RUclips reviews from the Bacchanal of them being pushed out after 1.5 hours so your experience may vary. I also typically try to go during off hours if I can to not impede on their revenue as you mention. Thanks for watching!
Yum ! Thanks Shin - another winner video ! I would load up on a portion eggs benedict and that incredible potato casserole along with carvery meats specially turkey breast. This buffet is so reasonable plus it includes mimosas YAY !!! Is there a time limit on this buffet ? Thanks kindly !
I believe there is a 90 minute time limit but it's never been enforced for me and I typically take 2+ hours to make a video. I really like it at the Palms. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Thanks Shin for replying so promptly and with great feedback ! I love that they don't enforce their 'time limit', and also since i am a salad-bar grazer-girl 🙂, I can enjoy a leisurely loaded salad first, then go for the gusto !!! Great video as usual, I would load up on all of it!!!!!! yum yum yum. Shin, tonight we tried a small restaurant in the southern end of the valley called Spaghetty Western... OMG it was fantastic. I would love to see you do a video from that location, the food was fantastic, the service impecible and the prices fantastic. Not to mention original Hollywood Movie posters that are amazing!!!!!! The AYCE puts out a great buffet truly. It will experience the same issues other buffets do, but I do think the AYCE is one of the best in Vegas. Thanks for watching!
Shin - great video work as usual. I must say though the food didn’t look very good. The best thing seemed to be the breakfast items on your first plate like the scrambled eggs and potatoes which would not justify the high buffet price. Also, I like the classic American breakfast sausage and it didn’t seem they had that. The more “premium items” did not seem very good - like you pointed out the carvery items were over cooked. That being said the salad items looked quite good and I would have definitely gotten some of the hummus and baba ghanoush
Yeah, this was a strange trip because typically the carvery is crazy good. The brisket is usually very juicy and tender and the prime rib, as I mentioned in the video, was easily the best buffet prime rib I've ever had so this particular trip was disappointing. That's the buffet life though, sometimes it can be a bit inconsistent depending on when you get to the food. Thanks for watching!
They were on the smaller side certainly. But any addition of crab legs at a buffet and I'm still a happy camper. Regardless of its size, it's still all you can eat. Thanks for watching!
Love your content! If anyone here can help me out. I plan on going Sunday with one guest around 11a. How long would you anticipate us waiting in line? Thanks in advanced fam!
Hi Shin! Thanks for waiting in the long line to review the buffet! I would pick waffles with berries, chicken wings, pizza, prime rib, shrimp cocktail, and beef brisket. Maybe I would try Eggs Benedict and Tiramisu…and the truffle potato dish may be my choice dish. Do you feel when it’s a busier weekend the food is a little off? I eat with my eyes though…😅Do you think the theme buffet nights are better? Thanks for creating another great video! Take care!
I've had previous visits on the weekends where 99% of the dishes were perfection. It really depends every day I think. I haven't been to their crab night yet but the lobster night and prime rib night I visited before were awesome. Honestly, most of my visits to the AYCE have been enjoyable. I feel like this is one of the rare times I've had this many misses in a single trip here. Thanks for watching Arlene!
@@VegaswithShin Sounds like it’s a pretty good buffet and saw they have a Hawaiian night so maybe we will time our trip around that. Thanks for sharing great awesome places with us!

Not during their brunch from what I recall. I do think they have hot crab legs during their lobster days, but I haven't been back in a while and can't say for sure. Thanks for watching!
Looks like they loaded all the serving tables with different sauces. Notice when you go to the meat sections like BBQ,there are hardly meat on the serving table. I just noticed bunch of over cooked burned or mostly bone on the serving table. There wasn’t any good quality food at all.
It's all about timing at the buffets. Most of my trips to the AYCE buffet have actually been really amazing. In one of my videos from last year you can see a prime rib that looks and tasted steakhouse quality. This time around I was hitting the line at all the wrong times. But that's the buffet experience. Could be amazing if you get something that just hit the line. Could be rough if you get something towards the end like I did the brisket and prime rib in this video. Even then, I wouldn't say they were bad, and were still passable. But make no mistake, the AYCE buffet is usually spot on amazing and I've had great meals there. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin that’s true, but at the same time, they’re charging people for buffet, not an empty serving table. May be they need more staffing to refill all those empty trays faster. Being crowded is not an excuse for this kinda professional Restaurant. Just my opinion.
@@amidazad4832 Understand what you mean. I think no matter how well staffed, there will be a natural ebb and flow to how much of a particular dish will be available. The first half of a brisket could go really fast and then lag for a while as no one picks up any more, then it dries out longer before they replace it as an example. There's just a lot of variables, but the beauty of a buffet, if you plan for long enough, is you can just wait it out until your favorites get freshly replaced. All you had minus the eggs Benedict
Mainly proteins and salads. I'd save the carbs for dessert, like the chocolate cake, brownies, and carrot cake.

It's always the issue with buffets, sometimes the food will be fresh and amazing. Sometimes it's been out there for a while and doesn't lead to the best experience. And yes, I was eating with a few friends for the taping of this video. Thanks for watching Jerome!
Yo shin! magic the gathering or pokemon tcg?
Yugioh TCG EASY!
Eat eggs Benedict last?😢
Haha, it was just the way the plate was oriented and how close the food was to me to go in order. Thanks for watching!
