Big fan of your work, but if I may, the volume of your videos on max is noticeably lower than other youtube videos (same setting both on the player and the computer).
The Valar and Maiar are very interesting. The Ainur are a fascinating combination of angles and gods. I wonder how if the Ainur cannot truly die, how are they able to be diminished to a degree that they can no longer interact with the world? Do they basically lose their power, and in so doing cannot do anything with the physical world, including walk among it? I know this happens with Sauron and Saruman. I would’ve stayed in the Timeless Halls with Eru and the Ainur who stayed behind. If I were an Ainur and I knew that if I entered the world, I may not leave until it reached its natural conclusion, I’d stay in the Timeless Halls.
To answer your question, the Ainur came into the universe with a finite amount of power/life energy. Although their consciousness could not die, if they werent careful they could over use their powers and end up so weakened they could no longer interact with the world. This happened to Sauron, Saruman and to a degree Melkor, as in the beginning Melkor fought on the front lines of his wars, but as time went on his powers diminished and so he had to rely on his armies to fight for him.
I was planning on returning in the summer, but it's a little complicated now because apparently the new MCU shows like Wandavision have made it seem like the old show like agents of shield are no longer canon. So to be honest I'm not really sure what to do now, I'm still thinking about it. I may restart the entire Timeline series, dividing it into movie canon and show canon.
@@CivilizationEx Well nothing It's confirmed yet. Everything is still canon, no one has said otherwise But it would be cool that you keep all the shows : (
It was Elrond's magic, cause that river was under his power. Gandalf also helped. I don't think Ulmo played a direct role but who knows, maybe he helped.
There are no clues that Elrond was behind that. Arwen was powerful too. It was her who cast that spell which made the river's water to create horse-shaped waves that ran over the Ringwraiths and carried them away. Yes, this probably happened with Ulmo's allowance, but this would also be true if it was Elrond instead of Arwen. Besides, in the book, it was Glorfindel (a High-Elf from the Vanyar, the closest the the Valar among all Elven clans) who carried Frodo on his horse, Asfaloth, and cast that spell. Before that, Glorfindel was in the Council of Elrond, in Rivendell (and, in fact, he also appeared in the movie, although nobody said his name). He was a great and very powerful Elf. In the Second Age, he killed a Balrog which served Melkor. Compared to this, doing that to the Ringwraiths was not difficult to him. In the movie, they just put Arwen in his place as Frodo's saviour.
@@atanvardo5730 In the movies it was Arwen, but in the books it was Elrond. Glorfindel was taking Frodo and leading the Nazgul to the river, but the plan was to strike the Nazgul with the flood waters that were already in place and ready to strike for the protection of Rivendell. The reason why it was Elrond is because he already controlled the waters of that river.
@@concept5631 Being very powerful by default and also "her mastery of light" which Melkor simply could not understand. Somewhat vague and left up to interpretation, but my own would be that Melkor simply wanted light to be an extension of his power (as he wanted all things to be) and under his control and will. Light however, in this context, is something designed to be shared and to be seen by many. When Melkor tried to control the light (the silmarils he had stolen) instead of being able to use them in any respect they simply burned his hands and tortured and weakened him. Then they brought him more woes in the form of elves who wanted to retrieve them (something also mirrored by Feanor when he tried to keep them greedily, they betrayed him and brought him much despair). So it seems light, by it's very nature, is something to be free and shared with others. Those who seek to control or pervert it's power somehow are paid in misery and woe. Anyway, that's just my ideas about it. Feel free to form your own.

Did Ulmo make the river into horses when Arwen saved Frodo from the Dark riders?
I don’t think so. However that sounds awesome

No. The Valar do not interfer in that way. It was Elrond. But it is technically the case that Elrond could only do that on Ulmo's allowance

When Melkor comes back, is he going to have feet?
Cool
Indeed.
The three Valar who Melkor feared: Varda, Ulmo and Tulkas.
