- A Jimmy John's delivery man appeared to casually press his mouth to the lid of a drink he was dropping off in a moment captured on a home security camera. In the footage, the man, who was not identified, can be seen holding the food in one arm outside a Chicago area home. Then, he looks down at a cup in his other hand and appears to put his mouth on the lid where the straw goes. Moments later, the door opens and he hands off the delivery. #InsideEdition

It's not just in front of doorbell cameras that food delivery workers might tamper with people's food. They could do it at any point during the delivery process, which can be especially concerning for those with delivery anxiety.

I worked for jimmy johns as a Driver for a couple years, The driver rarely fills the drinks themselves as its “get in, get out,” A TON of times the in shop workers filled the drink too high which caused the liquid to seep threw the straw hole causing a puddle to form on the lid.
BUT, although it happened at least 2-3 times a day, I used a napkin lol

I think this guy was in lala land for a minute and didn’t realize what he was doing. He looked at the camera afterwards . We order food way more often than we should in my house lol and we never order fountain drinks!! They can spill in the car or the driver can take a sip and place the cover back on. Our food bag is always stapled shut too which makes us feel safer but It’s never 100 percent when someone else is involved with your food, even at a restaurant.
I think so too. I think honesty could have gone a long with in this lapse of judgement/act of compulsivity. It’s like he forgot it wasn’t his cup. He should have gone to get them a new one and gave them a refund knowing he did that and I think forgiveness would have been on the table.

Most of the drivers we get seem to have their act together and do a great job, thankfully. Also a lot of the food businesses have gone to stapling or taping the order shut in a way that it couldn't be opened without you being able to tell, so I feel good about it most of the time. This behavior is creepy though, and you can only imagine some of the other stuff that might go on.
