I'm doing this video because most people say just plug in the dongle, press the button, turn on controller and play. Not how it works. I had to search on reddit to actually get it working.
I cant use my controller with 8bitdo the controller light is solid blue and then I have hold down the up+share button but it won't work, nothing will happen
A good video with an alternative way to pair the dualsense. Unfortunately, don't work with me, my controller is still paired with 8Bitdo with no movement at all. But thanks anyway.
i bought the usb adapter 2 to connect my ps5 controller on switch to play but its connected and it works but when i open any game it becomes unresponsive and i already upgraded it to the latest firmware
It worked for about two seconds then it lost it's signal. What a waste of money and it's already been tossed. Hopefully the Switch 2 will make a PS5 design controller someday.
@@MaxRob27 iirc that does not work. However, the Switch now supports Bluetooth Headphones so if you can do that give it a try. Keep it mind that it might have a slight sound delay so that may or may not be a bummer for you

thanks for your vedio, it works. but for the step to press "share" button doesn't work for me, actually I press "share" and "up" button make it work. Beside, I found the "ZR" and "ZL" button's response time is not good. it will delay a while. that's bad for action game like MH Rise.
@@DemiochMD I was kind of forced to figure it out. Just heard that a 8bitdo is all I needed and had no idea the grey one wouldn't work. Panicked, did some research and boom. I've been playing Smash Bros. With a PS5 controller using a Grey 8bitdo. SADLY, there was no way I could connect my Astro C40 TR but I did more research and ended up buying a Mayflash adapter as well. So whenever I play with someone, I either offer them a PS5 controller or a PS4 Pro controller. Both look and feel great 👍

Go in Settings / Controllers and Sensors / Calibrate motion Controls / Calibrate controller. Then you do what it says on screen. I have an adapter that lets me use a Dualshock 3/4, I get the message that motion is not supported, it should be the same with the Dualsense if it is the case. Could you please try it and let us know 🙏?

For y'all who are having problems with no input, hold the button on the adapter for 10 sec to reset it and then sync it again.

I found another video and it said holding L1 and share button worked. I tried it and that worked for me right now. Good luck!

Make sure at 1:53 you hold down both "share" and "up dpad" at the same time for 5 to 10 sec.
What firmware are you running on the dongle? I have followed your video and my DS5 still doesn't work on the switch. Any help would be appreciated.

For those who have a Grey one, MAKE SURE you update it to the latest ORANGE 8bitdo version. NOT the Grey one. It won't connect right otherwise.

Yes, xbox one, ps4, and ps5 controller does work. I did not test xbox series controller yet because I don't own one.
