I work at an Amazon Delivery Station in the state of California called DIB6, and it's one of the largest Delivery Stations in the region. About to hit my 1 year with Amazon and the delivery station is the easiest work setting that I've experienced. Our volume of packages is usually 40 to 50k a day. Peak season, our building nearly hit 100k.
Thank you for the video! I'm currently looking at applying to a nearby Delivery Station that would be a 10 hour overnight shift (1:20am to 11:50am). Their starting pay appears to be $1.25/per hour more then the DSP delivery driver job postings and I hear you can get some raises for the first 3 years but not sure if that is only at the FC hmm. I do like the idea of working in a building then being out driving and I could just eat my big meal before the shift and maybe just have some protein snacks I bring for the "lunch" break. We'll see if it's a fit if I can get the job after applying this evening. I'm still waiting to hear back from two DSP companies that I applied to as well so kind of just waiting to see who reaches out to me first at this point. You have a great personality by the way, I hope if I do work at the delivery station I can meet nice people like you lol.
Worked at a few of them. One in Linden, NJ (the most ghetto, unprofessional station) and the other one in Edison (nicer, but still had an issue). The one in Linden, NJ had horrible PAs and Area Managers. The one in Edison had Pick to Buffers bullying the Stowers. I was a Stower and some of them tried to rush me and bully me at the Edison station. Never again. I'll stay self-employed. Amazon warehouse jobs are easy to get, but the problem is that some crappy people work in them. I may give the company one more chance in the future but for now, I'll stay away.
Hey! You should try the amazon location in Carteret, NJ. They are all very nice and professional. I worked at the Edison location so I definitely know what you mean
@@BALIMAMII hey thanks! So there are 2 Edison locations. I am going to the new one but maybe later on I will transfer to Carteret, but we'll see. I also left West Caldwell. I had an issue with the PAs there. It's a good job overall though, just needed to change locations.
So if I understood correctly, you take the package and scan the code. When you scan the package, the light on one of the baskets turns on and you insert that package there and scan that basket as well? And that's how you work the whole shift? Do you do the same thing every day, i.e. do you have your job description in the contract and stick to it all the time, or do they send you from location to location as needed to do everything?
I have question ! They put me on inbound position since day 1 now its been almost 2 weeks and I like to change position to outbound or something else my job is inbound decant and getting tired of it if I want to change position do I have to do training class for the position ?
And if you're like me, first break after four hours, second break after the next four hours, then go home after the next three or so. I do 11-12 hour overnight shift.
I go today for my new hire appointment then the start date is the 3rd. Do they care about MJ 🍃 also I'll be working from 1am to 11 am. Kinda nervous with sleeping cause of my kids.
My Delivery Station is way smaller. Average volume is 22k during the week and 25k weekends. Our sections are A-D. Aisles are numbered 1-24. Each stower is assigned 3 aisle.
I start at a fulfillment center I left the delivery center…I’m so nervous but how hard/confusing is the fulfillment center ?I’m so worried I will do it wrong and get fired someone please any advice on fulfillment center ?
@@sunkist-n-skittles9072 I left a DS after working there for a year. That was a year ago and now I'm back at Amazon but at a FC and that's only because I'm getting paid $18.30 now versus $16
The FC is the worst out of all of them! You should've stayed where you were. Even if a FC offers a higher pay, it still isn't worth it for the high amounts of stress you get working there.
I’ll be working in the delivery station as well 1AM -11 AM 40 hours a week but how much would my pay checks be ? They start off at 15.75 + a extra 3 so 18.75 but will they just fire you without a warning because they do that here I’m only working seasonal
are you asking her to get you a job at amazon? It sounds pretty easy just fill application on the website and then go for a drug test and if pass drug test you likely got the job. My understanding they don't really give you a interview
In one of my other videos I mention why I no longer work for Amazon. They changed the hours which was a conflict of my full time job. I also received a job offer that increased my income.
@@shatandrealee310 thanks so much for replying 😭💜 I have super bad anxiety(always have), my position will be packer from 8pm-4:30 am and I already plan on getting gel insoles for my shoes, window covers for my car so I can have privacy during my breaks, and a clear lunch box for easy entry into the building. I really hope this lasts for me because I can really use the extra 2k a month 😭🤞🏾
@@shatandrealee310 thank you so much💜 I went to my pre-hire today and it was actually good! The building wasn’t crowded and the employees were really nice.
