- LIVE STREAM FOR ALL LANDSCAPE QUILTERS THIS THURSDAY, DEC. 5 AT 7;30 pm EST!!!! see pinned note below!
Here is our Mountain Lake Landscape Tutorial! I have the pattern for it for free - just send me an email (ourtimetoquilt@twc.com) and I will send it by email right back to you! I will be working on it each week as I show you step by step how to make your own landscape quilt wall hanging.
In this tutorial, we cover making the foundation and adding the fabric. Next episode we will be invisibly stitching the pieces down and starting to do some thread painting and trapunto work. We will add life and realism with thread and then proceed to some embellishing and finish up with fabric painting with inktense pencils. We will then quilt it and I will show you my favorite way to finish it to give it a framed look.
Thank you for giving it a try and I would love to see the results you get, the ideas you come up with, and any tips and suggestions you have to share! We also have a Groups IO and if you'd like to join, please send me an email and introduce yourself and I will invite you.
If you like landscapes, please subscribe so you won't miss a single one. I will be doing these on an ongoing basis! It is the most requested form of quilting I receive!
Thank you and good luck on your landscaping adventure! It's a great way to 'color' your world! Hugs, Deb Хобби

I think he was right. The striated blue is luscious. I really love the lake. so gorgeous. beautiful work. I think I could do something like this. Great tutorial.
I’ve been mind-planning a mountain landscape and I was thinking about using tulle to make a foggy/hazy background…I’m so happy to see that it works 😃. Thank you!

Well...you just made that look very doable! I've been collecting fabrics for "landscaping" for a while, but hadn't thought that I was skilled enough. You have made me feel like I am ready!
Your sky makes me think of the Aurora borealis
Come on LB- I know you can do it!! We'd love to see the photos of your work too! I love the idea of the sky looking like AB!!!! Thank you and I promise if you just start it, you'll also have a landscape quilt! looks nice
Hi! I found you because I bought some Intense coloured pencils, then discovered that you do landscapes, too! 2 for the price of 1! 😀 You do make it look incredibly easy. And so beautiful!!! Will have to go back thru your previous videos. Thank you so much for this series!
Thank you and you will LOVE your Inktense Pencils hon! I prefer to use Liquid medium instead of water with them since it prevents bleeding and it also gives a brighter color! I use them on all of my art and landscape quilts! I am doing a Live Stream on Thursday evenings to help anyone who wants to work on landscape quilts. I can send you a free pattern by email if you'd like to try this one! Enjoy! Hugs, Deb
CALLING ALL LANDSCAPE QUILTERS: Come work on your Landscape with me during my LiveStream every Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern (NY) time!!! Thank you - this was fascinating to watch and I’m looking forward to watching the next stage in the process. By the way m, your scissors look great - which make are they please? Thank you again for taking the time to video this.
They are Fiskars and I love them because I only have to close them since they have a spring to pop back open! Great for arthritic hands! Sorry I didn't see this earlier! Hugs, Deb
Me encantaría recibir ese patrón ❤️
Envíame un correo electrónico a: ourtimetoquilt@twc.com ¡y te lo enviaré! Abrazos, Deb
you could always make 2 of your patterns then can cut out the peices you need ans plae on the material where you want it then cut the fabric and place it on your picture
Great idea! Thank you for taking the time to share that! Hugs, Deb
Can you use heat and bond instead of glue?
absolutely!! just don't iron it down good until you are sure it's where you want it because it's nearly impossible to move once it's ironed securely. Just touch the tip of the iron in a few places to hold it until you are really sure. Good luck!! Hugs, Deb
How do You SEE it?
Sew
time stamp at 14:42 should have used that for part of the sky
Interesting concept!
Does anyone hear that background noise that driving my tinnitus out with a vengeance? I have to wear headphones because of my husband who watches baseball in the room
I have my fan on during the video. I suffer from tinnitus and know how frustrating it can be. Good luck. Hugs, Deb
