Rust Converter | How to remove rust on my vehicle

Tried out an impulse buy from Canadian Tire. Using Rust Converter to remove some surface rust from trail "damage". I feel like back to Chemistry class in highschool!

Wow this was super helpful! I have a few spots on my 80 series Landcruiser where objects from tracks I've done have scraped through my paint and there are little spots of rust like this. I'm very surprised that this worked so well and I will defiantly be checking it out.

Gonna have to do this where I flubbed on my roof rack bar touching my roof............ hate rust with a passion. It adds character.......... it also adds rot 😂

You have done a Very Good Job. But I think rubbing with sand Paper and repainting would do the same thing. If deep scratch rust is there which cannot be sanded down then it will be helpful. Thanks. This product not available in India, so sanding is the only option.

Interesting that the spray version of the same product doesn’t have phosphoric acid, key in rust conversion. I wonder if that’s why reviews were so terrible, ie those people used the spray not the bottle.

Shouldnt you have sanded back the majority of rust first then applied?

Only if it is loose and scaly rust.
