Exactly. I do appreciate all the work from all other Car- and Automobile-Channels in RUclips and stuff, but they always show cars, that 90% of the people can’t afford. Which of course makes sense, since we get to know more about them trough the videos. But these cheap cars videos are something, we all can relate to. So they are super fun to watch. Amazing job.

I like the cheap. The weird. The ugly. The funky. The ones that get you home despite everything. Or don't. Seriously people. Buy secondhand. You'll love it. CarThrrottle is honestly better now than it ever has been. These three brings me soooo much back to the old gold days of Top Gear. Especially this on, with Alex bidding, I felt so much when James had to bid on the last car in that classic car auction episode👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Can see the top gear formula falling into place. Think the reason people enjoy this like the old trio is it felt authentic and this is. There's nothing worse than scripting and this really isn't. Real blokes and real money

Couple years back my dad sold a mk4 1.9 turbo'd golf for £200, I want it back now
Should took it on a trip across the world and back, gave it a nice little clean and sold it like new, low mileage rarely used lol
I just released that its best to sell in auction since ppl are clueless

Crazy how you can buy 2 tidy mk5 golf tdi's and can barly buy 1 tidy mk4 with the same money,
And little secret the injectors for the arl asz engines are worth a mint second hand, so even if you got a rotten mk4 tdi for 300 you can get that if not more back from ebaying the injectors alone
My first car was an Omega A/Carlton, 2,0 8valve automatic with 446000km on the clock. Amazing winter beater with LSD. Since then I've owned 4 other Omegas. ALWAYS THUMBS UP FOR OMEGA!
With everybody doing supercars and exotics, these beaters are often overlooked, but they get us around every day like true reliable friends. We need more of these videos

My dad had an Omega when I was a kid and it was the first can actually remember. I fell deeply in love with it and I still am. I'll own one soon, this made me immeasurably happy
You have never been to a proper car auction unless it freezing cold out, you get a coffee and breakfast roll fact!!!
Car Throttle is the best channel on RUclips. Like you, i have never been to a car auction and watching this was a hysterically funny and interesting insight onto what goes on. My heart was pounding when you were bidding and i could stop laughing. This video should have been atleast an hour long. I cant wait for the next video of the Omega. You need to go on a mission with it.

Convenient! Went to an auction yesterday and snagged an Astra Exclusiv 1.4 2010 with 72k miles for £1300. Very clean inside too, with no sign of dog hairs.
Funny thing is, it's replacing a Ford Fiesta mk6 2008 which was bought for £1400.
Includes final price.
Auctions > Forecourt any day.

This is the best thing since Top Gear cheap car challenges, and this is a lot less scripted too
Had a silver Bora TDI (all red so 150 hp version - red I is 110). Bought it at 3 years old and ran it for about 6 years until just shy of 100k when, despite regular servicing, the cams went pointy and smashed their way through the followers. Had to give up on it (although bought by a bloke from the owners club who rebuilt it, did it up a bit more and kept it I think), but I loved that car. Was really nice to drive and was my first `nice` car (i.e. not a heap of crap Clio/Fiesta etc). For boring reasons I now have a Focus Mk3 160hp diesel and it's nowhere near as nice.

Opel couldn't fit a v8 into the Omega because it's too narrow but if you want to try then I have 3 of them on my drive at the moment....
The commodore V8 does fit the omega but you gotta shoe horn it in there!
Then it would just be a VX Commodore wagon which you can find here in Australia for about $1000 with an LS1 from factory. Why would you bother going to all that trouble?

you probably dont have that high insurance cost, pollution cost, etc.. sum it up and it probably gonna be cheaper in your country.

Sebastian Nistor these prices would definitely be awesome. The MOT or whatever they keep referencing seems like a big deal breaker on some cars though.
@@reedstemen MOT is an annual inspection for the car. Costs £50 ish and the car shouldn't have any major warning lights , should have good tyres and basically be safe for road use. I like this concept.

I used to work at this exact auction driving the cars through on a Tuesday and Thursday! I remember some of the gypsies selling a car doing everything they could to make sure it drove through the auction. Sold as seen! There were some amazing deals as well though. Good times

Many moons ago I nearly bought a Bora TDI 130, but fought the urge and went with a Peugeot 406 Coupe HDI instead.
I have a TDI sport Bora running 275bhp, great motors.

I've had a number of cars and vans from auctions. Generally did well out of them. Fix the bits, drive them for a year or so, sell them on, nicely presented and fault-free, and make a small profit. My brother used to do the same. Now he's living in the USA he's really annoyed the auctions are 'dealer only' and he can't buy any.
