Rescue mission, with NPCs taking those they’ll save, and teleported to Ira for the explosion plus other assassination mission. You get to do all of them.

@@amymurata i firmly believe the final final boss of C3 will be vecna again. The one who sleeps. I've heard references to vecna through that line ALOT.
2:21:00 The point is that Ludinus - as well as many other powerful beings in Exandria - resents the gods for their power, particularly the power over mortality and the afterlife. It's a whole theme that Matt's been doing, high level mages seeking power and immortality. Vespin Chloras tried to become a god, Vecna tried to become a god, the Bright Queen found a means of immortality and wants to see the gods fall, now Ludinus is doing the megalomania dance.
I was basically screaming at the screen saying they could try and convince them to go for Otohan instead of Liliana, since they have a direct way of getting to her
I came to the comment section for the same reason. Screaming at my screen give them Otohan and you can save your mother. She's more of a threat. You have the scry ball and no one would miss her. (from the party)
I watched everything from three campaings and i think its the first time i see this guys theory crafting so fucking hard. Asking about world lore questions and going crazy about the things they dont really know. This just shows how mind blowing all this campaign has been.
With a guy like Ira you take the help with the betrayal. He's a dangerous guy who I'd never rely on doing the right thing. But if your course of action lines up with the direction of his current schemes and/or plots, well he can be useful.
If you haven't seen them. Try and look their episodes of narrative telephone. Off the top of my head you can see the whole cast try to be beau, jester, and cauduses.
Oh my god. I never saw it before but Laudna and Delilahs relationship and her and Imogens conversation is a perfect metaphor for addiction. You can love the people suffering from addiction and still hate what the addiction is doing to them. (2:51:23) "I thought we lost Delilah, we fought her. I thought she was gone and the minute we split up, you fanned that ember back into existence. I feel like that flame is bigger than it ever was before. Does that mean you don't love me?" [I know the question was rhethorical (at least I think so). But there are people out there that asked themselves this question. "We defeated it and you brought it back does this mean you don't love me?"] "I don't know if you can let her go." "I just wish I knew why you gave her power again." "I didn't mean to. It wasn't a choice. She never fully left." Stay strong out there everyone.
She discusses exactly that in four sided dive, Laudna is an incredible character, and the way it is portrayed by Marisha who I believe has had experience with people close to her who struggled or d*ed from addiction (see between the sheets), make it so much more real and tangible. They are amazing.
Man. That shit with Imogen's mom. Like, you read about ppl in these situations, who stick with their spouse or their boss or whatever because they're convinced she's necessary to stop thwmem from doing something even worse, even if it costs her everything else she claims to love. It's real gross. Real sad.
in a way you could comapre the dynamic of imogens mom and ludenis to Imogen herself and laudna. Not to say Laudna is ludenis but rather the dynamic of sticking with someone wanting to help but getting caught in a toxic spiral.
Yeah especially Travis/Chetney's "You gotta think about yourself before everyone else. You only get one mom." made me so mad! Just because Imogen's mom might still love her doesn't mean she can be won over. She might love her daughter (in theory, it's not like she stayed to raise her!), but also be a true believer and be convinced that she's doing the best thing for her daughter by going through with the Vanguard's plans. But Imogen feeling good about her relationship with her mommy is more important than the future of literally two worlds? wtf???
I'm surprised they didn't try to convince the Volition to go after Otohan instead of Imogen's mom. They know Otohan is straight up evil and they even have a way to track her!
"an estranged parent is just a stranger, who can make you believe any bullshit" Wise words from Ashton. Trust who have been proven trustworthy, blood or no blood.

Listening to y’all, and your adventure makes my nights at work go by so much quicker. It makes me laugh when i’m not feeling good so I thank you immensely the bottom of my heart.
Imogen and Laudna are having a dramatic relationship talk, but I'm just imagining Fearne sitting in the corner and eating popcorn, turning to a Myceit, "Excuse me, my stories are on."
During this whole episode ive just been talking to my screen "you guys already have a mission. Its recon for the guys down on exandria and yall are about to run out of mind-block any time now. Gtfo!"
it just hit me this episode how close Laura's characters plot actually is to mass effect. imogen (liara t'soni) is having to deal with her mother (matriarch benezia) as she follows BBEG ludinas (Saren Arterius) who is trying to bring back a long forgotten threat (the reapers). benezia even started following saren for the same reasons as imogens mother, wanting to sway him from his path, only to end up serving him.
The description of how the weavemind can take over any of the people still with marks is giving Agents from the Matrix vibes. "Are you listening to me Imogen, or are you looking at the Ryloran in the red dress?"
I don't know if this is a fixable thing, but after the live broadcast here on YT, the video doesn't show up until Monday, but it shows up 3 days old, which puts it way back in hard-to-find territory in a subscription queue. If that's an unavoidable consequence of streaming on both platforms, I get it, but I thought the team might want to be aware. Hope this helps
Yeah its an intentional decision to try push people to paid membership sadly. Its even worse in other countries because for us it comes out of Tuesday, or potentially even Wednesday depending on how late they make it public.
They're putting the weekly schedule out on Mondays, I'm just clicking on the channel there and then going through their videos. It is an extra step though.
Same, I have not seen any of the last few episodes. I don't even see them when I look up the channel. Instead I've had to check the weekly update to find the episode.
Holy flip I just had a thought. Ichithon might be free. He was bound with magical means and, if not for that, could easily escape non magical bindings. When the apogee solstice happened, magic stuff stopped working. He could have easily escaped.
57:37 So now I’m thinking Ludinus is trying to make another harness so he can suck out the power and kill Predathos. He’s trying to become the second mortal to become a god…then he’ll attempt to kill all the other gods. 🧐🫨
Yup. And I personally feel like he intends to take the power of other ruidus born people. Like, think he made a massive one, that works like a... Spirit bomb, but instead of everyone willingly giving Ludinus the power, he's going to rip it out of them.
All throughout the dream scene with Imogen's mom, man I was so frustrated. Like, Predathos also fancies itself a god on this moon to an extent, it's utter hypocrisy. and there's NO assurance that it'll stop at the devouring of the gods. Who's to say it wont devour Exandria next? I wanted Imogen to yell at her mom for her hipocrisy and call out the self-martyring. the "Woe is me, I HAD to make so many sacrifces" talk is real infuriating, then she has the audacity to say she loves Imogen!? aw hell naw.
All members of Bell's Hells have a soft spot for self-martyrdom. It's one of the unifying features of each member of the party. I'm not surprised that any NPC could use it to great effect.
When Ira appeared and they said "Hi Ira", and he was like "Hi....", I immediately thought of Heath Leger's Joker saying "Hi....", when he visited Harvey in the hospital. 😬😅
I'm really surprised that neither Imogen nor FCG did an insight check on Liliana, because she's clearly lying either to Imogen or herself about the whole situation.
@@phillinedenniezejulle Yes, because insight is a skill check and not magic. It's looking and reading other peoples faces and gestures, which both Imogen and FGC could see.
It would be an incredibly unsatisfying insight check to be told "yep they're telling the truth" and then believe that when in reality if that's someone was so delusional that they believed every single word of what they were saying even though it wasn't based in reality. The insight check can't tell you someone is delusional, has dementia, etc unless the DM decides you can peer into their very soul.

I love ❤️ the fact Travis cements
the fact that the ladies rallied togther
when Ira made his small comment.
Great rp session.
"Baby, I was born this Fey." - Ira
"These Fungal-type entities"
Laura: so cute!
Me: OMG, like clickers?
had the exact same thought lol I could only see cordyceps mutations in my mind's eye
I watched everything from three campaings and i think its the first time i see this guys theory crafting so fucking hard. Asking about world lore questions and going crazy about the things they dont really know. This just shows how mind blowing all this campaign has been.

Ira: Betrays them
Bells Hells: *Shocked Pikachu Face*
Ira doesn't have a betrayal free mode I don't think
With a guy like Ira you take the help with the betrayal. He's a dangerous guy who I'd never rely on doing the right thing. But if your course of action lines up with the direction of his current schemes and/or plots, well he can be useful.
Sam uncovered the greatest dream that I didn’t even know I had… we NEED an episode of the season 2 characters played by other cast members!
If you haven't seen them. Try and look their episodes of narrative telephone. Off the top of my head you can see the whole cast try to be beau, jester, and cauduses.
A body swap style one shot would be a fun way to get that to happen
there’s also that one ep of c2 where liam was gone and marisha did her best caleb impression in his stead
@@shadycactus6146 episode 75, rime and reason 🤗
@@shadycactus6146 or liam doing a jester impression one time lol, that one was entertaining
Oh my god. I never saw it before but Laudna and Delilahs relationship and her and Imogens conversation is a perfect metaphor for addiction. You can love the people suffering from addiction and still hate what the addiction is doing to them. (2:51:23)
"I thought we lost Delilah, we fought her. I thought she was gone and the minute we split up, you fanned that ember back into existence. I feel like that flame is bigger than it ever was before. Does that mean you don't love me?" [I know the question was rhethorical (at least I think so). But there are people out there that asked themselves this question. "We defeated it and you brought it back does this mean you don't love me?"]
"I don't know if you can let her go."
"I just wish I knew why you gave her power again." "I didn't mean to. It wasn't a choice. She never fully left."
Stay strong out there everyone.
She discusses exactly that in four sided dive, Laudna is an incredible character, and the way it is portrayed by Marisha who I believe has had experience with people close to her who struggled or d*ed from addiction (see between the sheets), make it so much more real and tangible. They are amazing.
Listening to Critical Role while I work is my "audio book" story comfort. I love you guys! You all seem like awesome and kind people to get to know.
@@jamescanjuggleit is weird because Laudna is a corpse… the diseases. Imogen is basically a confirmed necrophyliac 🤢

Sam acting like he hasn't worked in the anime industry for 20 years and doesn't know the names of those animes lmao
To be fair Sam has worked on CR for a long time too and it's a running joke how little he knows about the world Matt has made 😂 he might just not retain information like names.
I've been in the restaurant industry for about 15 years and sometimes forget some of the most classic cocktails. I get it lol
I’ve been alive 31 and forget stuff all the time.
@davidjennings2179 it's not a joke he literally doesn't know much about nerd culture. This is no hate towards him. He is just not as nerdy as the rest of them.
LAUDNAS LITTLE HEAD SHAKE AT RISHANNA CALLING HER SWEET GIRL 😭😭 (If anyone is confused as to why I'm reacted like this it's because that's what Delilah calls Laudna) time stamp - 3:13:09
my thoughts exactly! And I could not help remembering Raishan calling Keyleth "child" and how pissed she was then. I know there is no relation, but it was cool to see
love the caption for the first time Matt's talks as Gaz "(Gruff, sultry)" 😂
2:21:00 FINALLY - Travis asking the questions I've been asking for the last 30 sessions. Thank you!
Matt really leans into Ira's character so well. It's haunting and awesome at the same time. I have to wonder how much he practiced that one.
01:37:51 Same, Laudna. I fear they may witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station.
Not giving Rashinna Eartha Kitt's voice/intonation was a missed opportunity 😂
“Pull the lever Gaz! WRONG LEVER!”
"WHY do we even HAVE that lever?!"
Listening to y’all, and your adventure makes my nights at work go by so much quicker. It makes me laugh when i’m not feeling good so I thank you immensely the bottom of my heart.
Samesies. I work on an assembly line it gets tedious. Listening to CR keeps me awake
"Gaz" starts talking and I simultaneously heard every word he said and nothing he said haha
Patrick Warburton just joined the campaign
back door invitation for warburton to guest play on CR XD
I see why he went with the Kronk voice because his story is very similar haha
Totally surfer Patrick Warburton.
Imogen and Laudna are having a dramatic relationship talk, but I'm just imagining Fearne sitting in the corner and eating popcorn, turning to a Myceit, "Excuse me, my stories are on."
Lol, Ryloran Kronk is awesome! Love the Patrick Warburton impression from Matt! One of my favorite voices!
Does that make Chetney or Laudna Commander Shepard?
I think in this case Orym would be a paragon run Shepard
Fuck... It's like pretty spot on. Maybe what's why I like Imogen's story so much. I adore Liara.
That talk almost broke my heart!
Marisha saying "trust a fellow witch" while having one of the most evil witches inside her is peak Irony
Thank you, Taliesen. That's all. Just a big thank you for being you. 💜 🖤
matt being a voice actor and yet being able to physically embody his characters so well is so sick. the fearne ira conversation was great.
The description of how the weavemind can take over any of the people still with marks is giving Agents from the Matrix vibes.
"Are you listening to me Imogen, or are you looking at the Ryloran in the red dress?"
Laura? What is this thumbnail? You absolutely knew what you were doing. The angst. The fingers almost touching.

1:29:30 Introducing, Kronk Mercer.
No, that was Brock Mercer.
It's their own loss, when the video resurfaces on Monday, it won't get the traction as if it was newly published
@@JohnSmith-rr3jtIt's a consequence of RUclips not their videos. That's how streamed RUclips videos work.
How Matt held it together introducing Gaz while everyone else is laughing at him is insane to me.
Marisha getting overwhelmed with all the lore lol

1:07:23 the moment when Travis pretended to smash the little myceit, I couldn't breath from laughter for a solid 10 minutes
Holy flip I just had a thought. Ichithon might be free. He was bound with magical means and, if not for that, could easily escape non magical bindings. When the apogee solstice happened, magic stuff stopped working. He could have easily escaped.
They did a one-shot dealing with that occurrence, you should check it out! The ol' Mighty Nein back together, now with Kingsley
@@Jambles3 well shoot. Here I am thinking I had a revelation and it turns out I just missed a one shot. Thank you though. I will be checking that out.
I saw that show live in London and let me tell you, you're in for a ride if you haven't watched it yet.
I loved the Bardbarian Inspiration from Ashton to Imogen and Laudna. That made me cracks.
Thank you, Taliesin! Ashton is the most cool Barbarian ever!
57:37 So now I’m thinking Ludinus is trying to make another harness so he can suck out the power and kill Predathos. He’s trying to become the second mortal to become a god…then he’ll attempt to kill all the other gods. 🧐🫨
Yep, that's my take as well.
You know that you mention that it sounds reasonable seeing how likes to suck power from others and take into himself
Yup. And I personally feel like he intends to take the power of other ruidus born people.
Like, think he made a massive one, that works like a... Spirit bomb, but instead of everyone willingly giving Ludinus the power, he's going to rip it out of them.
This has been my take ever since they found the thing.
Man! The world and story that Matt creates is just so impressive!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
ooh i wonder if next episode might have a guest on then. seeing as last time they split we got some guest players :D eighter way feeling the hype
It is possible Matt's impression was laying the groundwork for a guest appearance by Mr. Warburton...

I didn't put Heather Leger's joker and Ira together but you might have a point.

843- start year of current campaign
Its been 258 years. That is worryingly close to 300...
I had thought maybe it was the last apogee solstice! I have a memory tickling that theyre roughly every 260 years? Very close to 300 as well 👀
@@katierose6424They’re more like every 130, but that would still check out.
They seem only halfway done, but I appreciate the inclusion of chapters/timestamps in the video itself!! Thank you, whoever is responsible for that.
I'm really surprised that neither Imogen nor FCG did an insight check on Liliana, because she's clearly lying either to Imogen or herself about the whole situation.
Could they even do that given that they're in a dream
@@phillinedenniezejulle Yes, because insight is a skill check and not magic. It's looking and reading other peoples faces and gestures, which both Imogen and FGC could see.
It would be an incredibly unsatisfying insight check to be told "yep they're telling the truth" and then believe that when in reality if that's someone was so delusional that they believed every single word of what they were saying even though it wasn't based in reality. The insight check can't tell you someone is delusional, has dementia, etc unless the DM decides you can peer into their very soul.
