And here, let it he known, is where I caught up with the show. I started in June 2021, just as campaign 2 ended. I watched through C2 first, then circled back and experienced the entirety of C1, then all the one shots and extras (including things like the battle royales and honey heists), then came to C3. And now... here... I am up to date!

I love how anyone who sits in the top middle seat just instinctively has to perch.
It's not a seat, it's just a bar from a big parrots cage.
Sometimes the players are the ones to push the big red button, and sometimes it’s the DM. And Matt’s decision to have Ira set the timer for one minute without warning was the best button push I’ve ever seen him do. My heart was RACING.

He is a Fey through and through: the more chaotic action the more difficult it is for him to stop himself from doing it. They gave chaos gremlin a new idea and paid the price for doing so 😂

@@kawikacortes347 the groups are split into two things. Yes they are talking, but it isn't their turn and they are probably intentionally not listening so they don't meta even if by accident. At one put when it was Top Groups turn, you see everyone in bottom group on their phones. There is nothing at all wrong with what they are doing. They listen and don't talk much when it is their group's turn. If there is no interference with the actual session, then why care if they talk too much? It isn't like you are hearing their entire conversation.
"Did she know?" I know what this is about...In the last conversation she had she mentioned that "There are children here", She was at a school for the new young psychics, The school just got buried...
How will this affect both mother and daughter is scary. The anger and betrayal from mother and sorrow and guilt from daughter.

@@johannfunn6962tbh, the question would definitely pop into your head after the conversation they had only 10 hours prior. They thought they were going to assassinate just Liliana and not blow up the entire building, although with Ira involved and the people having been subjugated for centuries, not too far a stretch to expect carnage.

Okay, I'm gonna need Ashley to not ever use that voice again because it breaks my heart to hear Fearne so scared and helpless. She sounded the same way when Orym died, and it put a dagger through my heart then, too. 😢
Oh my god, Fearne's character growth this campaign has been unbelievable. It came up *repeatedly* in the most recent Four Sided Dive.
Nowadays, Fearne has the biggest, most helplessly open heart of anyone in Bells Hells, and she's traded her laissez-faire approach to other souls for this unbounded love and concern.
There is a part of me that worries that it might be getting too intense, like something that needs therapy (born of trauma and damaging to a degree) rather than a positive trait, but... yeah. Our tenderheart faun.
Okay seriously, I'm starting to get worried at this point.

Welp, I'm starting chemo in about a month or two. What, if you don't mind me asking, was your experience with it? There are so many forms of cancer and so many different chemo drugs, so I'm trying to collect a decently sized data set so I have some idea what I will be dealing with.

Seriously splitting the party made this episode so tense in the way that @matthewmercer expertly shifts between the two groups at key moments.
They say don’t split the party but honestly glad they did because this was peak entertainment.

Conceptually I don't like the idea that splitting the party is never an option. I feel like depending on the campaign and the party's goals splitting up can be the best decision.
Spliting the party is bad for a few main reasons: 1) the DM hasn't balanced the separate encounters for multiple people, and doesn't have time do to so 2) the split groups might not have the resouces to properly function in combat and 3) smaller groups means a different action economy in combat encounters, so mistakes are a lot more punishing.
Time and preparation generally fix these issues, as well as a not insignificant serving of experience for both sides
@Sp4rt4nSl4ya the problem is just that its hard to pull off
@@Sp4rt4nSl4yayeah, it comes from being something that *completely* screws a DM, if it’s a spur of the moment thing decided at the table. Notice in this instance the session was Set Up for a split party, with the split decided upon & finalized at the end of the prior session. Giving Matt time to prepare for a split party meant it wasn’t actually any sort of detriment to a game.
Spring that on a DM mid-session tho, you’re asking for a terrible time all around. The amount of improvisation it would require would be even too much for Matt, I’d imagine. At minimum he’d immediately go to break to plan

@@zTom_ Not exactly. If I remember correctly, Laudna stuck it on a piece of equipment Otohan had, most likely the potion of possibility harness/jet pack-like thing on her back. Which is still very unlikely to not have been taken off/examined/repaired/cleaned during all this time.
I was thinking that she did find it or knows of it but isn't worried about it right now. Until she takes it off and places it on a dummy version of her or another individual to throw them off her trail.

Jumping back and forth between tense moments, cutting off right before the cusp of an interesting revelation, really made for some wonderful storytelling throughout the episode.

Daggerheart will likely becoming the main system in C4. C3 probably doesn't have much longer left. We are entering into Year 3 with generally how long one of their campaigns last. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't finish up near the end of summer or by the end of the year.

@@padraig548 I think summer may be a little too soon, but winter solstice I can see, before the holidays begin. Or even near the Autumn Equinox. Then take about a month break, but feel it with a mini campaign.

Man, Sam's Myceit can was funny and everyone was already disgusted but whatever he said about the way he made it (someone else chewed some of it?) threw everyone off. Laura and Liam were looking at him in a way that made ME feel awkward and full of regret.

I think you probably already have a good idea. From what I understand there's a lot of stray dogs there that are not necessarily totally tame, and Ashley is the type of person who always wants to at least try to pet a dog any time she sees one, so she probably ran into a couple that weren't friendly.
