so the rear master is the same part across all GL1500 years right? really appreciate including the bit about cruise switch adjustment, had no idea that existed. gonna have to check one of my wings, cruise never worked but the manual switch is good.

Yes, that part is the same all across the board. The only difference is in the 88 to 2000 is I believe 88 through 90 had additional vacuum components because they had one more vacuum system than the rest. Other than that I think the only difference is our minor accessories and looks

@@Sleazy_rida ah cool good to know thanks. working on a '90 with zero rear brake even after flushing. might try flushing the front left line too but I figure the master seal must be totally shot for it to have no response whatsoever.

The plunger on the foot pedal master cylinder is gummed up with old brake fluid probably. You're going to have to pull it out and clean it up

@@Sleazy_rida I ordered a rebuild kit. even if it were gummed up it would still make a little pressure, right? the only force against the pedal is the spring and there's zero braking force front or back, pads are fine and slaves aren't leaking. gotta be a rolled or destroyed plunger seal right? I can't think of anything else unless the front left line is mostly air

I am interested in the tilting storage video too. I want to see if I can use a linear actuator to raise and lower it.

I'm going to eventually have to do it because on my primary rider I have the back rotor and pads and we need the job done... I'm going to research it for that one and hopefully I'll get a video up for you

Have you tried just tilting the complete storage unit instead of removing the sides? Nice job I guess you like goldwings! I have an 88 coming soon and will be doing everything I have seen you do!

I haven't tried that but I have seen what you're talking about... I'm going to explore one day and do a video on how to tilt that. I just want to see if it does or doesn't crunch anything in the middle because I'm only going to put it up if it's a proper and safe job. They are the best bike guy

@@Sleazy_rida looking forward to your next video... first time I've seen or even heard mention of the cc switch adjustment..... great detail!

I'm glad you liked it man, the cruise control wasn't working on this one and I noticed taking it off that switch was never engaged so I'm thinking it's going to solve my problem because everything else is in good shape but I thought it was good to put it in the video
