Hi Emily. I would like to see how to know who to reach out to for a job post. Often times LinkedIn job posts don't include the job poster's info.
i’ve had 3 interviews now where i’ve tried to act professional and interested and literally no calls back. minimum wage jobs are really giving me this much of a hassle
Yea I get you it’s ridiculous. We’re you able to get a job yet?
@@luism8612 seriously, I followed up he said he would have me in soon and still no call back idk what to do
its been 4 days since he had said that
Should be easier now with the job shortage haha ;-;
@@queenjohnson5097 right! Seems like it became worse tbh
I just used this today and got a response back really quickly. She said she would send my application to the recruiter! Praying for an interview call soon! Thanks so much!
Congratulations Monique!! ❤
Did you get the job luv?
@@lexiyw12 No but I did get another position
@@moniquewilliamson4084 congratulations!!!
@@CultivateYourCareer Great tip there, Emily. I have a question though: Does this message after job application has to be sent to the hiring manager necessarily or it could be a recruiter or someone in the hiring team?
This is such a simple but excellent idea. competition is very tough in the job market so any way you can make yourself even more visible, without stalking or coming out as desperate is so useful and highly valuable. Thank you so much for this great tip.
Wow, I've tried this and was on the phone with the recruiter in 2 minutes! Let's hope she invites me for an interview.
Omg! That's great! Congratulations! ❤
Thanks for the advice Emily, it was a great help!
Thank you, Emily. This was excellent. I follow through with your suggestions.
I've never understood people telling me don't come off a desperate and why any job themselves would frown upon that energy its a job not a dating website and what employer wouldn't a determined person I don't really understand
No clue
Just applied for the first job and this helped me tremendously
That sounds great, Davis! Soo excited about your job search journey. Happy to help! :)
I love your templates. It gives an idea on how to address them appropriately so thanks for that. yes, please tell us how to reach out that gets results and keep the momemtum going that leads to meaninful relationships and better jobs. thanks again!
I used this on two different companies and got a response the same day! Thank you so much
Very powerful technique, well done
Yes would love a video on how to find the right contacts!
Hi there! Here's the link to my video on how to find the right contacts: ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
Thank you so much for this video! Any advice for if you can’t find the contact for any recruiters or staff in HR? I’m curious if In this case I would want to call the companies main office.
I would always block my number when making such a follow up call. If they say may I ask who's calling, I hang up. When i get an answering machine, I hang up. They can play their games, I can play mine . . .
Great content! I just subscribed
I have a question. I found the hiring manager on linkedin but she had a post saying to just apply and that she is getting tons of emails via linkedin. I can't find a company email address. Should I still reach out via linkedin? Thank you.
I would like to see that video on who to contact and how as well
Hi there! Have you seen my latest video? It addresses this exact question! ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
Yes I would like to know how to reach the right person. It was emailed to me that my resume is forwarded to the screening team
Hi! I have had two interviews and two days ago sent an assessment test, which I completed. Should I continue to wait or reach out?
If the job listing has the contact persons email address is it preferred to email directly or message via LinkedIn?
A applied and after a few weeks I called them I don’t know who answered she said if they accepted they will call 🤦♀️
Is it a good idea to show up physically to the office to speak to the recruiter?
What about updating the questions asked? I recently applied to my Dream position and under department consideration they asked for more info and I haven’t gotten an update yet ? It’s been almost 3 weeks ..What does that mean?
Following up after interviews seems equally important.
It's been 2 weeks since I send my pre employment requirements and yet there's no update regarding my application. Should I follow up now?
Hello Ma'am, recently I have been selected in PSU organization and during the application form filling, I mentioned my marital status as unmarried though I am married due to family complications. Now the matter is will they disqualify me after the disclosure of my marital status to the organization? Please respond. I am feeling helpless and tensed.
This really helped me Emily but I was wondering if there’s no name do I just start off with my name and the position I’d be best at?
Thanks for your precious advice! Just a quick question: Would you recommend reaching out to more than one person in case they don't respond or would it be better to just leave them to it? Thanks
It never hurts to have multiple points of contact at the same company. :)

You said to let you know if I what to know who to reach out to. How do I go about that?
I applied to a job several weeks ago. Both a family friend and the website that it takes a while for them to get back to you due to a lot of applications.
I haven't heard back. Thoughts?
Very cool
Bro once I get a copy of my background check do I sent it to my hiring manager or do they already have it or do I just need to wait for a call from them or do I call saying I just got a background check copy
Is it good practice to attach resume to email ?
My interview was done, Is it appropriate to email the recruiter to make follow ups if you're accepted or not. Anyway the recruiter says I can email if I have questions. And how to say it.
I applied for a job on indeed and it said “this employer typically responds within 9 days”. I applied yesterday, should I call?
you're awesome. I'm sharing some of your vids with a family member who is in transition.
Aw, thank you! I appreciate it :)
Is applying for jobs online good? Or is going in person better?
Hi! I'd be very happy to see that video about who to contact and how to!
Did you ever see the video?
Alvaro, this video addresses exactly how to find who to contact! ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
After how many days should one follow up?
Hi! When you say following up quite immediately, what is that in quantifiable terms? A few days or a week? Thank you!
Hi! I highly suggest you follow up immediately, it can be a few hours or days depending on how quickly you can find the right person to connect with. :)
What if there's no email and you need to call
Hi! How do we find who to contact especially with linked in postings of jobs! Thanks :)
Hi Callie! Check out my latest video addressing this exact question: ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
How about after an interview? How you should follow up?
Aldrin, here's an example of a great follow-up message! cultivitae.com/2017/02/28/thank-you-cards/
I got an interview. & a drug screening email (its required by the job ) later got a call saying it was a mistake ? .. im still waiting on a call back any tips? Im thinking of sending a email ? Should i ?
Hi Gloria, do you mind sending more details about your question to support@cultivitae.com? I'll do my best to support you there :)
It’s been over 2 weeks now.. isn’t too late too reach out and do the follow up? Because I know that job start next month. Do I still have any chance?
Hi Liloung! Yes, you can still do the follow up now. It's better that they will see you as a proactive candidate.
I really like the topic but you were going really fast. I'm interested in watching the video about finding emails.
Try hunter.io, great way to find emails
Yes I’d like to know who to reach and how to find their email addresses!
Look up the company on linkedin, go to the people tab and look for the HR positions. You can also just call them up and ask who would be the right person to talk to I suppose.
Jai, have you seen my latest video? It addresses this exact question! ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
Please share new video how to find contacts
Hi Isabella! Here's the link to my video on how to find the right contacts: ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
Very good feedback.
Do you think it’s to early to send a follow up message after submitting my application 2 days ago?
Not at all. I highly suggest you follow up immediately, it can be a few hours or days depending on how quickly you can find the right person to connect with. :)
If it says " Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster." how to I reach-out?
Hi there! The company wants you (applicant) to directly reach them instead of a recruiter. In terms of whom to reach out to and how, this video might be of help: ruclips.net/video/gfiz_7wdmkc/видео.html
I got my interview and the person who interview me told me that I had to do an assessment and after that I should receive an email .. it’s been two days and I haven’t receive the email.. should I call?
Same here
hello what to do in that case i have given interview two round and i received a message that i passed the interview and now HR will contact you for salery and offer within 7 days now its has been almost 10 days i haven't hear back from them should i contact them or wait few more days
Following up is usually a good idea!
Yeah, well, online makes it hard for me. But I'm good once im trained. My life sucks so bad. 😢😭
Hi maam. My interview was done and at the moment they done asking me questions, the interviewer told me that she will endorse me first to the boss to where position i will fit. She will also endorse me to the two different departments if they have any vacant position for me. "We are in need of cost accountants and we are urgent hiring. We will call you. We have your number here in your resumè, just standby we will call you anytime because I will endorse first your application to the boss." she added.
The problem now is, it's more than a three weeks since my interview and now I am still waiting and having anxiety that what if they will never call me anymore?
Base on what she said to me after my interview, do I have to follow up or will I just keep waiting because she said I will standby for their call?
Thank you for the feedback.
have they called back yet??
Did they ever call back?
so should I email or call? or both?
You can do both. Depends on which info is available :)
If the withdraw button is removed after an interview, is that bad?
If you need to contact a hiring manager, email or LinkedIn should work
I need help plz
Hi! Did you join us for the 5 day bootcamp? Today's the last day and I'm doing a career coaching chat where I answer as much job search questions as I can from you guys. Hope you can join me! www.cultivitae.com/bootcamp
What if You DO MOT HAVE THE NAME OF ANYONE to follow up with!
Use Mr or Mrs and then their last name example. Mr. Johnson
I’m too scared to call them
Hi Yessa, mind if I ask why you're feeling scared? You never know what will lead from this conversation! You may get a job offer, you may realize you need to work on a few areas, you may realize you're more prepared + ready than you thought you were ❤

I appreciate the effort but this video wasn't very helpful… It seems like you are only giving advice for office/corporate style jobs, and you didn't really explain how to do a follow up in very much detail. You gave an example of a brief paragraph that you could email someone but what if you are applying for a job at a sandwich shop or something like that? Or even say a McDonald's. Should you go in in person? How should you go about finding the correct person to email if that is the way you should approach it, and saying pretty much immediately is vague it would be a lot more helpful if you gave a specific number of days or hours or whatever before you follow up. Also you should go over various things the employer might bring up while you are following up, like even if you just send the example paragraph you used obviously they are going to respond and then what do you do next? I get that it is a brief video and I appreciate that part but pretty much all of my questions are still unanswered and I have watched the entire video. Again I definitely appreciate that you are trying to help people and give good advice I just think there is quite a lot that was only skimmed or skipped over completely👍
I did NOT ask about APPLICATIONS, You Tube!!!
Sometimes the algorithm is random lol
