My ancestors came from the Emerald Isle..this message performed by Mr.Diamond..it's still has great meaning and we can all learn from the song"America". God Bless You Mr.Diamond.
I only wish we had this caliber of artists today, not that crappy music young people listen to. A bad example, a bad example for the younger generations, instead we had Neil Diamond and other amazing artists! It is not just entertainment, it is a philosophy of life also.
Soul crushing that he can’t perform any longer. What a treasure to America and the world. Thank you for a lifetime of amazing songs. God Bless Neil Diamond! 🇺🇸😇🙏❤️
It doesn’t matter what type of music you are into , you can be a country music fan from the foot hills of Texas, a inner city kid from West Philadelphia who’s a rap fan , or a rock and roll junkie from Cleveland it doesn’t matter if this song comes on the radio or is played at a wedding everyone there not only knows the words but they are singing along while they are trying their best to dance to it , and that includes me too.
Fuckin awesome mate, thats how to open a concert! btw did you know that is Elvis's drummer playing with neil here. He was with elvis all the way through the vegas years and has been with diamond from 1981!
Neil Diamond is timeless. I like his music as much now as I did back in the 70s and 80s. He has so many great songs, I couldn't begin to decide which is is best, though I've always been partial to "I am, I said". Sweet Caroline is right up there too. And "America". I used to play this on a 45 back on my little suitcase-like turntable when I was too young to earn enough to buy a real stereo. Love Neil Diamond. His humility is quite rare considering his success, and that's just one more reason to be a fan.
In one month i will be in NYC and will be seeing the musical A Beautiful Noise I AM BEYOND EXCITED as a lifelong fan of this incomparable entertainer/ genius One of my greatest regrets in life is never seeing this master live Soon i will make up for it TODAY!!!!! TODAY!!! NEIL - AMAZING
At the time, immigrants overstayed after their visas expired, then after five years of being in America, they would let them apply for permanent residency. Long time ago, was easy to become a permanent resident of the United States, now is different.
Neil Diamond's family came here the same way mine did - - as refugees from the pogroms. That's why we love this country so much. In re: today's refugees - - open your heart a little. It was a lot easier in the old days.
Back in the eighties when Americans were United instead of separated like they are nowadays, hopefully we can get back to reality and have pride in being all Americans
Bueno para mí es el mejor cantante ,no necesita politiqueos ,canciones falsas de promoción poses tontas ,es el mejor y como persona también lo conozco desde los 80 y nunca falla ,es único besos cuídate mucho una incondicional tuya,
Neil sang this in 1986 in front of the Statue of Liberty on the 200th Anniversary of the ratification of the US Constitution to a massive standing ovation lead by Ron and Nancy Reagan.
