Public prosecutor: no evidence against Joost Klein.
In a press release from the Public Prosecution Service, the prosecutor stated that the artist hit the photographer's camera during a quick movement, but that the incident was over in the blink of an eye. Witness statements about the incident also appeared to differ. “I have stopped the investigation today because I cannot prove that the act was intended to cause serious fear, nor that the suspect had that intention,” senior prosecutor Fredrik Jönsson said in the press release.
The Bird song was written for ESC 2024. It was the second song Joost brought in. They ( Avro/ Tros) choose Europapa.
But this song is so spot on regarding the whole situation. The now. That's also what Tantubeats posted on his Insta.
Its not possible this song can be used fot ESC 2025 , but for sure it will be a big win again!

There is a proverb and saying in Dutch. Joost mag het weten. In this saying is Joost the Devil. But because the father of Joost Klein liked poetry i think he is named after Joost van Vondel.
The march was life on Telegraaf site and that was sooo cool! And the Dutch reporter could go a balcony of a German man and he even liked it so much about the march! The German like the Dutch! And yes, i agree that Joost have to be on that bus in the march!
My assessment of Joost is that he'd rather like to control the situations he is in himself, I guess that would be over very quickly on that bus 😅

To be honest I think Joost is playing the press at this moment. A lot op people thought at Pinkpop he was referring to Pinkpop 2025 and not Eurovision. But the press immediately picked it up, partly because they have nothing else to talk about. Joost is still not talking to them. Only 24 hours later he changed his bio and channel in instagram and I think Tiktok. That was all he did and that was enough to make everyone talk about it. Newspapers, websites, television programs. etc.
I think he is just trying to poke holes in the system and see what happens. During the finals of Eurovision he did a post with dogs and everybody was speculating what he could mean. During Freshtival he sent an instagram post on stage and sold that as "breaking news"🤣.
At this moment it is not even clear whether the Netherlands will be participating. Let alone whether they will send Joost.
Joost is currently in Finland making a video with Käärijä and Thursday it will be world onion day. So who knows what happens then.
Added later: Yes he is autistic. I have autisme and I recognized it Immediately. It is the humor, the details, etc. This was one of the problems at Eurovision. They want you to do stupid interviews were everybody says the same thing etc. (world peace) So he made fun of them a lot. By doing things differently. They must have hated him from the beginning.
They call it a spectrum because there are so many different ways you can be autistic. From non verbal to eh Joost.
About the management of Joost does not respond is probably because he does not have a manager. No Manager, has his own record label, etc. Journalists don't understand him.

Its a sad kind of funny that some journalists criticize " his manager" not responding or make a statement ever but Joost indeed not having a.manager at all.

An artist manager does so much more than that. Like telling you to who work with, where to play and who to talk to. Like the press for instance.

I want to see the Netherlands stp with the eurovision, but if Joost is actually going to represent the Netherlands again is the only exception for me to continue being a part of Eurovision. And Joost Klein will have then even a bigger chance to win. A lot of people are mad at the EBU and most of them will vote on Joost pure for the injustice the EBU did to Joost.
The first time they said his name appeared on the screen. After that it was censored. I have been seeing this a lot, too, in this and other Dutch reports. Very odd.

Europapa even if it was allowed to be submitted again... I think it would be an "old" song competing with new and up-to-date songs in messaging.
He could very likely write more good songs... but with Luchtballon.... him moving on; would he do Europapa again? I don't know.
Also correct, normally there is pre-contests for the song that will then go to Eurovision. He might also be an act at EVS 2025, doing Europapa again. Like we have all years. Songs and artists coming back for the show.
I have no idea why 'Joost' is being censored
The way the talk is with the autism part shows how this is a current complex social topic... also with the spectrum, and what that means.
The autismspectrum is pretty wide. People with autism usually don't seek that kind of attention, and definately not on a stage(sure there's exceptions).
Furthermore, those individuals usually tend to focus on just one thing, he does like a little bit of everything. So, he might be in the 'greyzone' where normal functioning overlaps the autismspectrum . That's just my take on this topic while don't having all the facts... 🤷

The YT subtitles are not the best, it's not just here. I watch a lot of "educational" stuff. It's not that uncommon for some names to get bleeped/skipped or something completely else written. It all depends on how the subtitels get generated. I've also seen videos which have subtitles for things not said, but most likely edited out. Small bits or just one or two sentences. Subtitels on YT can be very weird.
In Dutch its just a name (like I've explained before; it could also mean devil... but most commonly it's just a name.) But many non-Dutch had issues with pronoucing the name... Would they be able to write the name if they heard Joost?
It’s probably censored because “Joods” means Jewish in Dutch and because of the ongoing war they censored it but idk if it’s misheard by the translator or if it’s something with Joost
Of course the Netherlands will participate again next year. However, something can change, the head of the EBU must apologize to Joost Klein and the Netherlands for depriving us of the final. A certain top 5 ranking. And if you send Joost what he earns 100%, you never know what the outcome will be next year. Keep in mind that collaboration with a good singer can also benefit the professional jury. And I'm sure that another of Joost's songs will also be a real banger that he will win the festival with!

Joost Klein is highly intelligent and is playing with the media. And the media are all falling for it with open eyes. I think autism is a misdiagnosis. I got misdiagnosed with autism too, because healthcare professionals don't understand high intelligence and the overexcitabilities that come with it. You need to go to a high intelligence specialist and most people (like me before) don't think that could possibly be it.
Yes you are right about him be very intelligent and playing the media. But I think the diagnoses autisme is correct. You can tell for instance that he has problems with too much sensory input, hence the headphones and the gloves. And another symptom is that he looks at the world in a different way. Neurotypical people use context a lot to know what is happening and what to think a about it. Autistic people have difficulty doing this and that can make life pretty overwhelming. But it also makes it possible to play around with peoples expectations like Joost is doing now. You can be highly intelligent and have autism at the same time.
(I want to add that I have not met him so I cannot KNOW, but if he says he has autism I believe him on the basis from what I have seen)
@@evagoor that can also be from sensory overexcitabilities, like I have. Highly intelligent people also look at the world differently because the brains are wired differently, the connection between left and right brain is stronger. Hence the misdiagnosis i received. I'm not saying that's definitely the case jere too, I don't know him well enough. But I think it might be.

I sincerely regret going down this path. Sorry about that. I'll refrain from commenting about this particular question in the future.

I saw a lot of short videos and got the impression that it got very emotional multiple times on that stage.
But I didn't see the whole performance, only lots of parts.
It's indeed difficult to get the right impression with al that little parts of his performance showing up everywhere.
But I still think, I mentioned it earlier , that typical atmospere had also to do with the audience.

Joost thrives on the interacting with the crowd responding to him, and ( emotional) flowing with him.
If this is not the case as hen needs/ expects, he has to try harder....and he will. I think we saw him try very hard.

That’s right, but luckily you can still swear all you want on Dutch media. Things like swearing or nudity are usually not blurred or censored. It bothers me a lot that global media are increasingly censoring ‘normal’ things like naked bums or nipples (except when male) or the F or B word.
