    Thank you to all who watched, especially those who have left some great comments and support. I truly appreciate it. I'm not dead and I will eventually get back to more reviews, until then I have to get out of a bit of an economic depression in my life.
    I do however have 2 cars that are free whenever I feel like reviewing, please let me know what you'd like to see.

      Besides the reduced gas mileage, one key thing to keep in mind is the fact there is a timing belt on the 6 while the 4 has a timing chain. I will go with a boring grey manual sedan with manual transmission. My daughter drives in December, she will get my '07 CR-V that her grandfather owned and was garage kept.

    If I had to choose between this 7th gen Accord with 2.4L or 3.0L I’d go and choose the 2.4L all the way, 2.4L is shared on 2nd/3rd gen CR-V and Element, 2.4L has to be one of the most best engines Honda has produced!

    I had a 2004 and a 2008 Honda Accords. Got over 200,000 miles on both. This may be your average commuter car but Honda and especially the Accord, they are some of the most reliable cars. You will have to replace some parts as you get they get older (like every other car) but they are reliable. I went with a Subaru this time and regretting it. It’s been in the shop alot. Plan on going back to a Honda Accord with my next purchase.

    The 2007 7th gen end of line honda accord is possibly going to become a timeless classic if it hasn't already. I would bulk buy wear and tear service items for it and keep this until you literally have to replace the engine block. It's the step up from a camry if you can't afford an older Lexus - which also is ridiculously more expensive to maintain and for parts. This car literally should easily last 30+ years if you look after it. One day people will want this version of accord as they simply went backwards until 2015 and that's double in price. Keep don't sell.

    • @michaelangelo5783
      @michaelangelo5783 Год назад

      Dude, you're talking put your ass. Most lexus models comparable to accords (ES line) are based on Toyota Camry's and share parts.

    • @therealovidox
      @therealovidox Год назад

      @michaelangelo5783 I know the two share the same parent company hence i made the comparison. You don't have to believe me but you'll get YOUR arse price pumped with no lube when to go to buy the "Lexus" parts vs any comparable Toyota equivalent. Anywhere on the world.

    Currently on my second seventh gen accord. My first one was a 07 se 4cyl my current one is a 06 exl 4 cyl. At first I hated the leather in my exl but I’ve grown to like it . The only 7th gen’s I’ll buy are the 06-07 refresh I personally think that 03-05 are ugly in the rear. I think the refresh is ugly with the factory tail lights but with the hybrid tail lights it looks cleaned up. These cars love going through ball joints that’s about the only major mechanical issue I had so far and a water pump . Other than that I never had to do engine or transmission work to either besides spark plugs and oil changes. The 2.4 is superior because it’s a chain driven engine not belt like the 3.0 and the automatic doesn’t grenade itself like on the v6. Both engines are good engines but the v6 is a lot more maintenance and stuff to go wrong. I would love to get my hands on a 06-07 v6 hybrid model though. Boosted power on the v6 plus the fuel efficiency of a 4.

      So far pretty cheap compared to my girlfriends 2019 Sentra. I'm getting close to 150k miles, but I bought the car around the low 100k mark.
      So far I've done all the oil changes myself every 10k miles, about $30-40 each.
      I've replaced the battery once to perform better in the cold for about $200
      I replaced the tires for the first time since I bought it, they got swapped out and aligned last year for around $1,000
      Recently replaced my serpentine belt myself for like $15
      I believe I got my brake pads replaced a little after I bought the car, I don't remember the price but my grandpa did that for me one Christmas as a gift
      There's a common problem with this generation of Accord where the knock sensor needs replaced. I have no main issues other than the sensor just needing replaced, had a buddy who's a mechanic check it out and says everything is good. I bought the replacement sensor for about $60, just waiting for the weather to get a little cooler before I start working on that.
      The last thing I think I have to do is just replace my spark plugs since I'm getting to that point in the cars life. Won't be too pricey for that.
      Everything else is just small, like windshield wipers, windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, air filters, and a few other normal stuff.
