@@petalchild I’ve never had it on the inside of the elbow but I got it on top of my foot, the side of my ribs, fingers, my wrist and also the inside/side of my wrist on the bone. Fingers were single poke tattoos and the side of my wrist, and the rest my brother did with a gun since he’s a tattoo artist.

This just appeared on my recommended and I wanted to share my tattoo story.
English is not my first language, warn me in case of grammar mistakes.
My best friend was having her tattoo classes, and I've had the tattoo design for years, but never had the chance to make it.
She asked if she could do it, and I agreed immediatly, I trust her with my life.
The tattoo is very thin lines, some are wobbly, some out of place.
And I love it.
I love my tattoo, because it's not something perfect, it has it's meanning.
The tattoo actually made me love myself even more, it's littles imperfections, make it perfect for me.
Just like my little imperfections make me.

It sounds like you want grammar tips, so as a native speaker I’ll share what I would change, from top down.
I would drop, “in case” if that was your intended meaning, or even just add “so” before “warn”
I would phrase the best friend as having taken tattoo artists classes, or learning to be a tattoo artist, or being a beginner.
And instead of “the tattoo design”, because the design hasn’t been introduced before this statement just say “a tattoo design”.
Lastly, “but never had the chance to get it done”.

I only have 2 tattoos and I'm still in love with them. And I'm 72 now. The secret is to think long and hard about what you want and where you want them. The second thing is to keep them touched up so they keep looking fresh and vibrant.

People like me get bored fast. It can have a deep meaning of whatever, but after a couple of years I'd still wanna get rid of it. This is why I could never ever wear a wedding ring either. Just the thought of having the wear the same jewelry every day is driving me nuts. Rambling aside, some people can think long and hard and they will still end up bored with their tattooes😅

Half of my tattoos are regrets and need to go. For my mental health. Also I became a mom last year and as a single mom I'd like to tell my kids better stories rather than the ones on my skin
Same advice I give to people who are looking at any kind of major cosmetic surgery, is look for the tattoo removal horror stories, to give yourself a very realistic and full idea of what might go wrong. Absolutely still go for it, but give yourself a heads up on the things that you might need to be aware of afterwards.
This is why saving up our money and going to a reputable artist is important 😂 Glad laser removal tech exists, and hope she can get something else she likes better in the future 😊

Yes, but also going only if you are able to say no and go out if you are drawn something you don't love. I went alone, fancy artist, well known. Didnt really care about clienyts at this point cause she had people queue for months, so many wanted a tattoo fron her. She was designing the tattoo and tattooing it, the very same day. The designing was like half an hour. I said i dont like it. She only changed it a bit. Messed up the meaning. The tattoo is on half of my leg. Costed me half the minimum wage of my country. She shoul spend more time with me. Not just 3 hours for the whole thing. Never again i would agree to tattoo a design that has just been made. I paid tge deposit. I should have just walked out

May I ask how much they charge you to remove your tattoo?
@@thatssodaisy3276 in lisbon they charged me 100 euros a session it took 5 sessions to remove a 10 cm tattoo. So 500 euros, but it was worth. It hurt as hell but it left me with a clean skin and no scars.
Ugh my husband has THE WORST prison tattoo from when he was a dumb ass teenager and it's his whole left side of his NECK 😭😭 feel like we're looking at 15k
I really don't like to have something permanent, I would do it just maybe if it was a really small one in an hidden place meant for my partner. It's not that I don't like art and drawings, I really do, but I'd better draw something with make up every morning than something permanent.
I have the same problem with hair dye, I tried one time with the most temporary die I could find and it took a year to completely vanish, and I'm scared to try other dyes because I'm really attached to my hair and I don't want them to permanently change even just a bit, but at the same time I see would really love to have purple hair.

I don't have any tattoos that I regret, I've recently got them, I've gotten 8 tattoos between September 2023 and February 2024 and I really love every single one of those.
Good for you, I wish you'll keep loving them just as much if not more than when you first got them, and I wish the same for me since my biggest fear is not liking my tattoo anymore even tho I've been wanting it for *years* since I was 13 😭 🙏💖

I so wish I could get my tattoos removed. They are well done and I get many compliments, and where I don't necessarily "regret" them, I wish I never marked my body.
It's a battle I'm fighting constantly, i dont have a tattoo, but I've always been so tempted by getting one. But having my body be unmarked feels right in it's own way too.

I find the science around tattoos fascinating... So the reason tattoos work in the first place, is that the ink particles are too big for your white blood cells to eat. But some parts of a tattoo may be smaller blobs of ink which can be eaten, so a ratio can look faded and need a little touch up to get the nice lines.
And what the laser does, is it actually breaks up the ink pigments into small enough parts so your white blood cells can eat them, and they get passed through your kidneys (and that's why they will often only do so much at a time for removal because you could stress your kidneys with too much ink
this is why you need to think before you get a tattoo. this reminds me of that girl who got offered free laser removal and removed her tattoos because she just didn’t want them anymore. Tattoos are permanent and it’s so dangerous to think, we’ll if I end up not liking it I can always get laser. Laser is expensive long and painful. if you want a tattoo wait 6 months and if you still want it get it. it shouldn’t be a spur of the moment choice.
That's why I don't get tattoos Because I don't want to regret it later on. Instead of getting tattoos, I dye my hair crazy colors so That way, I can just tie my hair back to my natural color
tattoolaser removal really and truly does actually remove the tattoo. The only thing is you have to do a shit ton of sessions. I’ve been getting ALL mine lasered off since 2016. You have to go in every 30-90 days. it’s kinda expensive too. and getting them lasered off is more painful than getting them tattooed. But if you really want the tattoo off, you’re willing to make arrangements. But they really do get rid of the ink, especially if the piece is 10 years old, I think they said it comes off faster or better or something like that on darker skin or medium kind of brown skin. I can’t remember the very specific information about the shade of skin.
If your skin is darker, more energy is probably absorbed from the laser, that could translate to a more effective result and less overall skin damage.

Story is always the same. My grandmother had a tattoo that went up to her lower neck. She always wore a turtle neck or a scarf. She was 80 when she passed and she carried the shame till her death. Had to have been her greatest regret. I mean the work was nice. It was genuinely good piece, but even though at the time it was super meaningful and it had a great artist behind it, she still regretted it for over 40 years. It is permanent people. And painful in and out
I love how she thinks it’s just like using an eraser on paper. You are still going to have marks left that may look worse than tiny tattoos.

I really wanted to get a tattoo after done my piercings, but then I learned that our body immune system would be kept busy fighting the tattoo forever, giving it harder job to protect our health, so for me it’s a no for now, but I do admire ppl who are getting them esp the gorgeous and amazing designs.

I have an old tattoo that cost me about $50 back in the early 90s. I did 5 laser sessions at $100 each, and the tattoo is STILL there! Be prepared to spend a lot of money and BTW the laser hurt way more then the tattoo!

i have both my arms covered and luckily not one single regret 🥰 majority of them have no meaning but that doesn’t bother me at all since i love the way they look and they still resemble things i like! (i’m also not afraid of not liking them one day bc i’m 27 and still love everything i loved as a young child, once i like something i literally never stop lol)

It’s not that easy to remove a tattoo guys… think twice before getting a tattoo. Takes several sessions to remove a tattoo and it’s more painful and expensive.

I would be paralyzed choosing between removing them, because those have to be some of the easiest ever designs to laser well. And just covering them with a whole sick sleeve, because covering them wouldn’t require any strategy besides sheer size

I don’t get tattoos for this reason because I KNOW I will regret it in the future. No hate on tattoos. Personally I can’t choose a tattoo and a place on my body for ink. I’m too picky about placement. Everyone my age asks me “if you got a tattoo where would you get one?” and honestly I just wanna tell them “I don’t want a tattoo because I love what I look like. Plus my body would look too cluttered with all the ink”

Lasers don’t actually “remove” the ink. It just breaks it down so it goes into other parts of your body such as your bloodstream which can lead to blood clots.
How does the lasering work? It's still there?
Generally, your immune system works really hard to get rid of foreign materials, but tattoo ink is too big, so the laser breaks it down into small enough pieces for your body to get rid of. As far as i can tell, it generally takes several sessions because of how deep tattoo ink is in your skin, kind of like its layered. It does usually leave scarring.

Be careful, a lot of people regret their removal and end up getting everything re-tattooed. I did that with a Tweety bird design on my foot a few times.

OMG that hurts sooo much! I had one removed from over my left breast and it hurt like a sonofabitchinbastard!
Luckily they were tiny and light-handed. People don't realize that technique is equally as important as looks. A great looking tattoo that scars you is awful, but it won't look bad at first. Especially if you ever intend on removing it, you'll be left with a tattoo-shaped scar that you cannot just laser off.
Quick tip: Not getting tattoos is cheaper than getting them and then having them removed.

I had a young coworker (18) who got her own tattoo gun , and started to do the scratchiest, worse placed, line tattoos I’ve seen ALLL over herself. Hands, legs, arms, anywhere visible she could reach. I can only imagine what she’s gonna go through when she’s older and realizes what a mess she made. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Upon a quick glance, tattoos register in my mind as unsightly moles or birthmarks. I have a ton of moles and I HATE them. I can not fathom why anyone would want a bunch of marks on their perfect, even skin.
