Can’t believe it was over a year that I first saw this video and fell in love the glacier expresses crazy beautiful the two of you are such smart travelers I appreciate that. Thank you for sharing again. Stay blessed.
Thank you so much for allowing me to travel to countries I’ll never be able to visit. Wow once I started watching I couldn’t stop. You guys are amazing in your choice of traveling. What adventures you’ve be on. Many more to come I’m sure!❤
Trains outside the US are so much more modern and fancier. I'm just now seeing this, and I am in grad school. When I'm done, I will visit some friends in the U.K and take a bullet train to hit up as many countries as I can. Beautiful viiews
This video was amazing to watch! You two are truly blessed getting to travel the world together! Oh the memories!! You guys are the best!! Safe travels! ❤️
Thank you so much! We had a lot of fun doing it! Would like to revisit a few places with more time one day. Especially Switzerland, 7 days wasn't nearly enough, but a great time anyway!
I've experienced riding a train crossing under water in Hong Kong's Hongkong Island to Kowloon. You know you're under water because it suddenly becomes cool. Been to Paris, cruise on Seine River, Euro Disney, sights in Paris, France then to Brussels, Belgium; the Netherlands; Cologne, & cruise on Rhine River in Germany; Vienna & Salzburg, Austria; Leichtenstein; Lucerne, Switzerland; Rome, Assissi, cruise on Venice, Italy then flew to UK and went to Leeds Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace), Costwolds, Oxford, Dover, Canterbury and all around London's burroughs, then to Glasgow, the Highlands, Loch Lomond, Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness; Nevis, Williams, all around Glasgow, side trip to Carlisle. Returned in 2015 to Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle, Oberramagau, 1st CC in Dachau, then to Salzburg for Sound of Music Tour, returned to Munich to catch DB Bahn to Prague, Czech Republic. Good I did these before pandemic, now I don't think I have the strength to do these.
Good afternoon Allie and Rob. How is it that you don't gain any weight when all you are doing on the train is eating? 🤣I am glad that you are having a good time. It looks like fun. I truly enjoy your videos.
Lovely video! Thank you! You two are so quiet and classy….(and I LOVE your hats!) My hubby and I enjoy your trips…and you share the cities as well…maybe one day you can travel to Japan-we have seen videos about those-those trains are spotless!
I love your channel! I love that both of you enjoy your time together with relaxing travel. I am lucky enough to have done similar journeys with my fiancé, and I look forward to many more. Both in the US and abroad. Thank you for the thorough walk-throughs of the train and accommodations, as well as spots of interest at stops.
I had watched the short versions of the trips, and still am enjoying this long one! Seeing the architecture and history of the cities, alongside the train comparisons, is so appreciated. I feel for whomever has to make the bed in that Paris hotel!
Hello from Massachusetts 😀 I am so happy for you guys to be able to do this together! I would love to do this one day with my husband before we get too old lol, but my fear of planes is a mayor no, sadly. I thank you for sharing this experience as I feel that I’m traveling with you too ❤️
Air travel is incredibly safe, safer than a train - but I respect if you have a phobia. I like rail because I want to see first-hand the vastness of North America - Canada and the United States - and I have driven long-haul trucks but you don't really get to enjoy the trip when you are driving. It would be fun to just hang out with Allie and Rob in the dining car. Thank you, your Grounded Life Travel is inspirational.
I've had so much fun on this trip with you guys. Thank you so much for sharing with me. I'm unable to travel and your videos give me the pleasure of going without leaving my home. BTW, you both are so pleasant to listen to as well. Please continue to take us along as much as you can. It's wonderful.
Thank you both for a wonderful quiet evening of adventure. When I first heard you mention Spain, I got so excited. Much love and happiness is my sincere prayer for you and your family. ❤️🌹🫂
Such a wonderful travelog! I watched it all morning. Informative, beautiful photography, even enjoyed the music 👍 Great job! Also know that you two will have special memories from this one!
in 2009 I took a trip to spain through my high school's spanish program. we took an overnight train from madrid to barcelona and it was my first time doing something like that. it wasn't very fancy but a fun experience. we were bunked together in different rooms that held 4 people. but the amazing day (i wish we spent more time) in barcelona was worth it.
It took me a few days to get through this video, but it was completely worth it to watch all the way to the end. It appears to be a compilation of the highlights of your rail travel in Europe and it does not disappoint! Stunning views, practical tips and information, expert commentary and fun nuggets thrown throughout! I really, really love and appreciate you guys and your awesome travel vlogs‼️👏🏼
Rob have you every be to the top of the Eiffeel Tower, GateWay Arch, Sears Needles (now called the Willows Tower or soemthing else), Space Needle, and the CN Tower. I have been to the top off all those and it was fun. I just would not do the other crazy stuff, that is not for me.
You guys really make my Friday mornings. I work from home so I watch the videos while I work. Oh and you guys make me hungry. Lol Thank you for your content
I have just filled in my wet Saturday afternoon watching this video and thank you for a wonderful experience even though I had seen some of these videos before Great work and look forward to the next adventure
Hi you lucky travelers!! Just started viewing your channel and find it to be a wonderful down to earth experience. I just have 2 comments that I believe would be helpful; 1. When visiting "foreign" countries, could you PLEASE help newbies, as myself, with names of restaurants/coffee shops you have selected. I would hate wasting time (rebuilding the "foodie" wheel) trying to figure out a good/clean place to eat; and 2. You are so very good in explaining the different amenities i.e. in lodging, transportation, etc. But your voice is too low and sometimes muffled when covering say a meal or names of hotels. These are not "complaints" just recommendations to experience my travels based on your recommendations. Thank you!!
Hi Allie and Ralph. I happened to stumble upon your channel recently and fell in love. Im totally addicted to watching all your adventures. Im thinking about taking out an Amtrack credit card soon. They have a 20,000 reward point special going on, when you spend you first $1,000. Do you think that is a good deal? Thanks so much. ❤
We enjoy all of your videos. This one has motivated us to plan our next vacation traveling by train from Spain to France to Switzerland to Austria to Italy.
Thanks, yes that nightjet is one of our all time favorite trains. What a big difference between the regular and the deluxe for just a few dollars more!
Question? Where did you store your rolling suitcase on the days where you were sightseeing and then catching a train? Great info as we are going to do a 30 day trip in the fall. When you arrived in Toulouse, did you carry it around or store it somewhere? I love how you took advantage of the early mornings. Thank you for a really nice tour.
We actually kept our hotel in Paris and left our stuff there even though we slept on the train. It was less hassle than finding a locker for everything.
Greetings from Ottawa, Canada. I am especially interested in the long Amtrak trips. You touched on something at about 2h 36m - about being long travelers. How do you handle laundry? Other viewers must also be wondering....
The Pasties started as miners food .The edge is how you hold it that was so miners who were dirty could discard the edge so they don't poison themselves
It looks like you had an amazing trip. I remember going to England with my mom in 2019. We went to London for a few days then took Eurostar via chunnel to Paris. We stayed in Paris 2 days then Eurostar to Amsterdam for 2 days and flew back home.
It is great to see you two again. Did you really eat all of the first meal? Loved those Coke glass bottles in second meal. Thank goodness for big bags with wheels.
I love Paris. I should go back. I do taxes for work, and most tax seasons I go to Paris Las Vegas and work for a week. Maybe I'll go to France this year. I'm not sure how well I can work from there, though.
I wish I could go to Switzerland. I wish I could go to Israel with my aunt & uncle, which is my #1 as well. But it's way out of my budget. 😢 Thank you so much for this sharing. What a gorgeous vlog!!❤❤❤❤❤
We went in February, pretty much all of February and the first week of March. It was a little cold in some places but not really all that bad temperature wise.
Nice work on recording 👏🏿 Vacation of a life time too, I want to do this too. Then I wish America could have high speed trains going all the North and South American countries.
My husband and I watched this and loves it. Where do we find the details /Itinerary and the train names? We would love to recreate this trip for ourselves. Thank you!
Liked this vlog. I would travel like this but at this point in my life not sure. With all the great take away food in France your choices were not so great. Hoping to do a similar trip when my back is improved. Would have spent more time in Paris and not so much on trains. Traveling by night is a good idea.
Happy New Year 2024! I am new to your channel and I am enjoying your train travel. I love riding the train. Where did you fly to begin your train travel in France?
Where did you hear it will be another 50 years for Sagrada Familia to be completed? Everything I read claims they are pretty determined to be completed in time for the 100th anniversary of Gaudi’s death in 2026.
Sorry, in @ 1.48 you left the train on the return to London, now you are on another train. Where are you going? I'm lost in Great Britain lol oh and your eating again.

As a Cancer patient I am not able to travel and this helps me complete the trip of a lifetime. Thank you. Bucket list excursion one -- complete
We hope you get well soon.
👍
Yes get well soon. My husband is not well either so I travel through them.
Get well❤ soon

Hey, next time don’t forget Portugal! Good food, great weather and very cheap in comparison! And some unique rolling stock.
This has to be the best of your video's. I really enjoyed it. The train, the tours, you have outdone yourself. Thank you very much!

Yes, we usually do it at hotels or Airbnb's. Recently we actually went to a local laundromat for the first time, so I guess it's however we can!
Allie I didn't know you know Spanish. Kudos to you. :D

Strange as Eurostar doesn't run Paris-Amserdam. Maybe you meant Thalys ? (Although to be fair Eurostar has just merged with Thalys)
