When I first saw this in-game, I had no idea what was going on. Scene's dimly lit, nothing I could quite recognize. Then Johnson pipes up, and my shock and excitement just went through the roof.
I mean I'm all up for this to be a stealth confirm of Shadows of The Damned 2 and all.... But that would suck if they killed Garcia Hotspur. Although Johnson Eight Hearts would be kick-ass to play as.
Boss Fight Database Man I hope you’re right. I loved the game, reminds me a lot of RE4( knowing that Mikami, Suda, and the silent hill conductor worked on this).
One very pleasant surprise about this very section of the game is this confirms Grasshopper did in fact retain all rights to the Shadows of the Damned rather than EA, so the chances of a remaster of the original and a possible sequel are actually likely. If that whole thing with Grasshopper seeking out Nintendo as a future business partner pans out I can see a Bayonetta like situation happening with a Shadows of the Damned 2 announced as a Switch exclusive and the first game ported to the Switch as well. One of the only past Grasshopper games I didn't notice in direct references to was Lollipop Chainsaw (there is that one character named Juliet in one of the visual novel cutscenes but I feel that may be a stretch), I wonder if that means Kodokawa and WB retained the IP rights to that game and thus that's why it's one of the few Grasshopper titles not brought up (hell they even included a Killer7 reference by outright mentioning the Texas Broncos). EDIT YEARS LATER: And yes it's happening! I'm both surprised and not surprised at the same time it's Devolver who are helping the remaster. On one hand I thought either Marvellous or Nintendo would likely be the ones funding it, but on the other I'm also not too surprised it's Devolver since this is the same company that somehow managed to get the okay from FromSoft to remaster Metal Wolf Chaos (a previously Japan-only Xbox mech game).

Hell, if he announce remasters of NMH 1 and 2 for the Switch, that would be the BOMB, even more of he is able to improve stuff with NMH 2, like improving the missions that we go kill the guys who murdered Bishop, adding a bit more into their friendship. It would be also nice that is after we complete all this missions we unlock Rose Nasty, since we get them from a Bishop's friend (through, Shinobu, but maybe they can change to Travis receiving them when he is visiting Bishop's grave to say he kill the assassins)
@@devilstardi As a fan, it's a good distraction..It has its problems, from stuff not being washed out, to stuff coming and going way too quickly...I hated the racing game SOOO much....but..as I said, it's a good distraction.

A year late but I want to say it's a scene because they left it with a lot of questions after beating Johnson. According to Travis in TSA when he's inside the SotD game from the death drive, it's a sequel where Garcia gets captured/tortured and Johnson has to rescue him. honestly just feels like a cameo and toss up kind of thing because its odd that Paula isn't even in any of these scenes after Garcia was with her
Sadly unless they get another publisher other then EA this will most likely never happen. EA is infamous for cannibalizing companies games and IPs if they don’t pull them fifa levels of profit on the first game look what happened to dead space 3 do to all the micro transactions something at the time that was still not normalized and sneered at by gamers add in a crap multiplayer mechanic that took all tension out of the game. It sold poorly compaired to what EA wanted for it which was Halo levels of money when in reality 90% of horror games makes average money at best when it’s a mega hit and in most cases make meh at best money and sell bad and become cult classics dead space was one of the closest horror games to have main stream appeal after the success of the 2nd game and the popularity and cult status the 1st one had but even though 3 was for the most part a solid game not amazing but a solid 6/10 game play wise about an 8/10 story wise personal opinion of corse. My point being even though the first two sold amazing and the 3rd sold ok they still ripped apart the group that made the dead space games and pretty much put the nails in the coffin that was the 4th game making it unlikely we ever get answers for that cliffhanger ending 3 gave. So seeing how little EA values their games if they are not mega hits right away or basically like fifa that sells purely by name alone which as far as I can tell is a micro transaction riddled mess that’s over the pst few years have functionally been the same with the latest I hear being a shot for shot remake of the last years game but worse. Shadow of the damneds sequel if it gets made will be purely to fill in the gap between the more unprofitable quarters or if the IP is sold to another company that is if EA holds the rights to the game that is I may just have faulty info and don’t mistake this as me wanting the game to fail I loved the first game it’s quirky ness and universe were interesting and I think it has legit sequel potential maybe if a company like platinum games which are well known for making quirky games like bayonetta work and a little polish could be a great 3rd person shooter seeing as we don’t have many decent ones I hope I’m wrong as hell and I’ll buy the 2nd game if only for the story. I consider the story to be somewhat akin to something like the evil dead 2 and army of darkness Zany and weird with a hint of intrigue and interesting setting as well as a protagonist that’s somewhere between badass and campy as fuck. Maybe with the popularity of games like that starwars game ea let out that did so well they are actually seeing the value of single player games and atm I think people are getting sick of the live service multiplayer bull crap we are shovel fed on a daily basis almost. Sorry for the long post if this works out I’m looking forward to see where this goes even if it’s a few years away.

Garcia isn't dead, only captured. The next story in the shadows of the dammed will be about Johnson freeing Garcia or the story that happens afterwards. thats where tge ending of this game in the trailer leaves off on canonically.
