Should have been a star worldwide, was this a result of poor management ? Still this did keep her touring in our country giving us more opportunities to see her live. That's the silver lining to that cloud. Love her, love her voice, love her attitude, love everything about her. Got her autobiography and its autographed. Yay ! ! !
I once wrote to Elkie at Woody Bay and got a great response & signed items. Also met her in person at the show when she signed my Circles CD. She sat on the stage after the show and was simply fab! ...My fave albums are Circles/ No more the Fool/Amazing/Electric Lady.....Love the new album too Powerless! i remember Elkie Brooks appearing in a talent show in the the seventies. My memory Ain't what it used to be but i think the show was called stars in their eyes
well she did i am not sure but i think she sang pearl's a singer on the program. the talent show i am talking about was not like the crap they turn out today it was for professionals trying to get back into the game
Saw vinegar Joe in 1972 in an "open air" pop concert in Bradford, also appearing was a Band called Black foot sue,and topping the bill, the one and only....GARY GLITTER...WTF!!!!!

Saw Vinegar Joe with Robert Palmer and they were supporting Wishbone Ash and Mountain at Alexandra Palace, North London all-dayer in 1972.
