It's so funny because if anyone calls me young man or sir I automatically lower my voice. Like I had to keep up this act of me being biologically male. Another thing is I love when people ask about my pronouns rather than assume. Someone once asked my pronouns because he got that I was trans. Everybody is so chill about it but it's still scary.

man I hear you, I really prefer he/him pronouns too, but I have a reaaally feminine voice and "she" is automatically used. but everyone mostly calls me by my preferred name. except at one of my newer jobs they don't because it's owned by a family that's been friends with my family for 40 some years. so they've known me since I was little. now that I work for them it's just "birth name" left and right. but even the employees, who I've just met, have been calling me birth name and I hate it. one coworker has this odd habit of singing, literally, singing my name when we have the same shift.
life as a transie *sigh* the struggle is reaaal

oh my gosh this is amazing. (im genderfluid right and reside in a super curvy feminine body type thang, ergo zero medical transitioning, okay, cool) and my GOSH fucking I laughed so hard with all these kind of interactions you're talking about because it's similar to when I 'present as male'. But it's just like.....errrr... I loved the smile after the little girl called you site the entire thing was so adorable. mack you're hilarious and i love your videos keep doing what you're doing. good luck with however you decide to handle the situation.xxx

That's awesome man. I remember i also did something like this in the beginning of my coming out process. I changed my name legally (it's pretty easy to do that here in Sweden), and used it at work and with my family as a "nickname". I did that for almost a year before I came out. I think that for me it was good to take it step by step. You'll get there, don't worry! I wish you all the best.

I work at Walmart and I'm not even out with my preferred name. My birth name is written on my name tag so I never wear it. Management doesn't ever notice or care, probably because I'm an unloader/stocker. It's great though, because the name tag isn't there to hinder me in passing. I'm pre-T, but when I'm actively trying I pass over 1/2 the time, get a lot of "man's", "sir's", and "dudes", from customers and coworkers. I think some of the people I work with suspect I'm transgender, but no one knows.

    Hey man,
I can definitely relate to how things are going for you. I started my job in the fall of last year and originally started out as my birth name (not by choice) and changed to the name I like two weeks later. It's been about four months and nobody messes up the names, but the pronouns still haven't caught on yet, even with being out. Pretty sure in time they'll start to switch once they realize how using feminine pronouns sounds really awkward with the my name. Keep your head up, things will continue to come into alignment with time.

My work story is I was in an elf suit at this coffee shop I work at and I found out the next day that a little girl said to my boss the elf is a boy. I'm out there so that's cool and the rare occasions when i'm taking food out and a woman tells their kid let the boy past. Also the only time I ever really corrected someone on my pronouns a boy in a high chair called me a boy and their mom immediately said that's not a boy it's a girl to her son. I was just like actually miss your sons right I'm a boy and she apologised so that's cool. I'm out to a couple of my colleges and a couple customers I've known since I was about nine.

Here's my process for meeting new people. As we get introduced or greet each other, I start and populate a profile for you. Name, rank, serial number, gender, preferences, contact info., in regards to:, interests, concerns, whatever. I autofill this in. I make mistakes and edit to make accurate as I get to know you better. Gender is getting tough! In your case you'd be listed as a girl. Not a woman or male. If I over heard you correct somebody, I'd change it.

Same situation, buddy. I've been out at all of my jobs except for one and all of the others were exactly like you described. They know the name, it's plain as day on the name tag, but my voice and in some cases like my current job, not being able to bind due to work load, it's she/her/hers all day long. I used to correct them, but no one cares or tries so its just become an irritating itch at this point. Maybe your coworkers will be different? We've got your back, dude.

I'm not out to my parents but i really don't want to be called mrs.(birthname). I feel like coming out to them wouldn't be the smartest idea because my parents could find out

"It's clear to me that you're a train" lmfao
Glad to see another video from you! So when someone comes up to you and another guy and says "could one of you gentlemen help me?" and you say you will, does that co-worker ever say anything about it?
I went back to school to finish my degree this fall and I decided, basically on the spot, I would go by Ricky instead of my birth name. (I considered going as Bear, too b/c that is a genuine nickname but I figured I'd get more questions about that than Ricky, which technically is an ambiguous name) So everyone at school calls me Ricky. At work, I still go by my birth name but I told a few co-workers that I go by Ricky at school and I actually came out totally as trans to one the other night!! I knew he'd be 100% cool and he was like, "I kind of figured but didn't want to assume" So whenever we're not around other co-workers he calls me Ricky. :D
Unfortunately though I am a very curvy person (even with a binder) of average height with long hair and have a high pitched voice so I would never be read as male by customers. :(
I'm thinking of asking my boss if I can change my name on my name tag and the daily break schedule to Ricky...
Oh one more question, how come you haven't told your therapist?
