- The continuing trawl through my psychedelic archive finally arrives at B and so it's time for....... The Beatles. Yes, I know they've been done to death but it can't be denied their undoubted influence on psychedelia. I happen to think that Strawberry Fields Forever, I am the walrus and It's all too much are the best of the best but instead of showing their regular albums here's a few bootlegs covering the psychedelic era
my favourite period of the beatles, thanks for showing your cool bootlegs, cheers
Hi Stephen, thanks for tuning in. It's my favourite period too.
Great episode. I’ve only seen a couple of those. I’ve listened to ‘Electronic Music’ and I own ‘Pepperisms’ on CD.
Thanks for tuning in.
Loving this series it’s a psychedelic labour of love, peace ✌️ from Canada 🇨🇦
Dean, thanks for tuning in. Yes ,it's a labour of love as you say. Not sure if I've bitten off more than I can chew, though. 26 letters to get through and A had 6 parts !
I love the Beatles psych stuff! I probably listen to those Fab Four LPs more than any of their stuff! Those Beatles boots are impressive! Very cool! Love those prints behind you as well! Great stuff Mark! ✨✌️👽✨
Hi Cos, thanks for tuning in.
Thanks for showing Beatles bootlegs, have you a regular fave? Your swedish follower....
Hi, No I don't really have a favourite. it depends on what mood I'm in. I have loads of Beatles bootlegs and will do a video on them at some point.
Cool stash!
Guy, thanks for tuning in.
Interesting about Walter Carlos inspiring John Lennon. I love boots. 🚀🖖
Rik, I'm not sure exactly what Lennon took from Walter Carlos other than perhaps a sense of 'out there-ness' but he was certainly listening to him.
@@Mark-Take444 I agree with that statement. I’m a big fan of Carlos and their work. Your collection always has unique lp editions. I would love to have more imports , but over on this side of the pond it’s always a money grab.So I’m always getting priced out of the hunt for much of what I find. I’m greener than the Grinch who stole Christmas with envy! 🖖🚀
Whilst Sgt pepper 🌶 was being recorded at abbey Rd next door Pink floyd were recording arguably the finest and best psychedelic record of all time Piper at the gates of dawn
Drawn from Syds mind
A fragile but hugely talented young man who never escaped what went with chilhood imagination mystery that beautiful feeling of the ethereal gives
This album is vastly in tune with psychedelic values and a far superior to Sgt pepper
Piper is far more out there than Pepper reached
And The Floyd were the novices but when you listen to both Piper is sonic in a way pepper never achieved
Barrett was a genius in his own right and gave us 2 solo lps which continues the themes in Piper but the biggest influence was Wind in the willows by Kenneth Graeme hugely influencel I knoe as I read at the age of 6 and it help mould me into who I became
All things enchanting all things ethereal all wrapped up with Syds lyrics and music
Like a trabadour eternal and mystical
❤❤❤
Andrew, thanks for tuning in. I'm a huge fan of Piper as you can see from the first video I put out. I have seven or eight copies of the album ranging from a Russian copy to one signed by Roger Waters. I first heard it in 1980 and it's never been far from my turntable since.

Recommendation
2 Groups I knew well when I lived in Edinburgh in the 80s The Green Telescope and The Thanes both fronted by Lenny Montgomery but AKA Lenny Helsing
Recommend these 2 bands seriously
Songs on RUclips
Two by Two and A Glimpse
Others on there too
Lenny is on Facebook what he dosnt know about this subject could be written on Match head
Lenny is the man too communicate with
Really great fella and knowledgeable
The Green Telescope and The Thanes who are still going
Hey girl also a Recommend song 🎵
Keep up the good work 👏
I know of Lenny and remember The Thanes. I seem to recall either The Thanes or The Green Telescope on The Tube back in the day. I was on the fringes of the Psychedelic Revival in London back in 1981/2 which centred around The Groovy Cellar with The Doctor as the DJ.
