Its nice to see flula not exagerate his persona in an interview for once. Hes genuinely a smart and funny actor, and while its enjoyable seeing him being a fool on cam, its also nice to hear the genuis behind the character.
His accent got me weak in the knees the entire time seeing the movie today and his eyeliner looks hot on him!

I think a part of what makes Flula use funny wrong words when he speaks is that he just isn't thinking about grammar at all which is actually really smart thing for a non-native english speaker to do when you want to translate your thoughts more genuinely and quickly.
I'm 98% certain he uses incorrect words and grammar on purpose because it's adorable and hilarious
It's interesting to see how you can hear his accent slip away in a few places and his actual voice appears.
Well his accent is his real voice because he's german.
Nicholas Wicht his "real" accent still is not that strong, he is putting that on for his on screen persona.
You can be a non-native speaker of English without have a super strong accent. Especially if you live in an English speaking environment for years like Flula does. Arnold Schwarzenegger actually trains with a dialect coach so that he doesn't lose his signature Austrian accent.

Years ago I heard he fakes his accent because he isn't really German. Since then I can't hear him talk without thinking he's faking his accent.

oh my god, this is real Flula. Hes less of a "character" here than everything that Ive seen of his.
Honestly as an artist the last part he explained really hits home. Its why alot of people opt out of mainstream music or acting. No creativity, your role is your role to be followed specifically, and if not they cut you and find someone who will. So good on this movies director, producers and others for letting the cast have fun and do what they needed. I haven't seen the movie but i might now just for that reason.
The video shows what I always suspected of Flula when he's "in character." You have to REALLY know English well to intentionally screw it up effectively for comedic effect. Every grammatical error, mispronunciation, strange sentence structure is all on purpose. And, I love it. Flula is just the best.

+Hoffmaier “IHaveManyNames” 2000 Lol they mean in proper English. In most of his videos he over exaggerates his accent and purposefully uses bad grammar. He's German, so of course he has an accent, but they mean when he acts seriously and speaks normally without acting.

Ich kenne aber auch natürlich viele Leute, die einen sanfteren Akzent haben, der kaum bemerkbar ist, also habe ich noch Hoffnung :D
